@@joeforte7829 I’m used to it. We’ve been absolutely awful since the 2003 Super Bowl. Hell, we had Connor Cook make his NFL debut at quarterback in a playoff game. The 2021-22 season where we lost first round to the Bengals was legitimately our best season since I was in preschool. Shit is pathetic

The average NFL player makes less than you would believe. I think the league minimum is still $500K a year. The stars will make the multitrillions, but the back-ups are paid way less. Part of the reason is the salary cap. Also, it's not guaranteed money. So if someone signs a 5 year $20 million deal but gets hurt in the second year, and is out, they won't get the full $20 million. Some are being smart now and holding out on contracts for guaranteed money in their new contracts.
My Raiders went from a playoff team to first year coach Josh McDaniels benching our franchise QB and leading us to a losing season blowing 5 double digit leads this season. He managed that with the #1 RB this season Josh Jacobs and the best WR in football Davante Adams. I've never seen Raider Nation so pissed.

The Rams tumbling from reigning Super Bowl champs to this debacle was pretty bad. Cooper Kupp's injury was pure salt on the wound.
As for The Cards, I had no idea that JJ Watt had experienced AFib a month ago; now I understand the retirement announcement.
Contracts in the NFL are strange when compared to other major North American sports leagues. You can’t always judge if it’s a good or bad contract unless you know what the guaranteed amount is. The teams can avoid paying anything other than the guaranteed amounts by just cutting the player before they play the games needed to earn the rest of the cash. Unlike the MLB where that 10 year $150 million contract you see being signed is pretty much all paid even if the player gets a career ending injury in the first season.
Packers play the Lions tonight, they've won four games in a row and if they win tonight they're in the playoffs.

100% Ever since Retardski took over play calling 2 years we've gotten worse. And he refuses to kick FG after we march all the way down the field, resulting in 0 points more times than i can count. He refuses to give Chubb the ball and lets shitty ass Watson throw it way too much. Hes a narcissist of high level because no matter how many times he goes for it on 4th down and we dont convert it, and we lose the possible FG points and all the momentum, he KEEPS doing it. We've lost a bunch of games just because of his ego.

In the NFL a QB can last longer today more due to the fact that there are rules in place to protect them from hits that didn't exist in decades past. QBs used to get brutalized. That's also why their stats are better in the modern era. 3.o0

Not that Daz follows football closely, but the Eagles really are kinda reeling towards the end of the season. They were 16 points favorites against the Giants because the Giants played all of their backups and 3rd string players, including a QB who has never completed a single pass. They only won by 6, at home with all of their starters and the #1 seed on the line.
Football is a game of momentum and if you looked at the sidelines and after the game, you'd swear the Giants won and the Eagles lost.
The Indianapolis Colts are just paying for sins of the past.
The football gods haven't forgotten about what they did to Andrew Luck. They'd have a franchise QB right now if they just took better care of him.

There's so many injuries in football that almost no contract over 3 years is "guaranteed" because they can essentially just release you after a certain point. That's why they said the 5 year Wilson contract of around 250 million is 165 million guaranteed. Still a mind blowing number for a guy of his age.
My Seattle Seahawks are finishing up a 'rebuilding' year and weren't expected to make the playoffs this year. They needed a bit of help (Green Bay needed to lose their last reg season game) and tonight beat the LA Rams (for the second time this year) and cheered for the Buccaneers to beat Green Bay... and they did! Seattle Seahawks secured the last wildcard spot! Hey! I get some more football this year! Go Seahawks!!! 😁😝
At 11 minutes and 20 seconds when you guys were talking about the nfl. The NFL as a company makes a lot of money. But the players do not have guaranteed contracts. But recently it's becoming more emphasized to have guaranteed money.
You guys should react to the Chargers Raiders game in week 18 last season. It was a wild scenario and the Sounds of the Game video is pretty awesome.
The Eagles will be added to this list after their first playoff game. Book it. They got lucky one season but they always fall on their face.
Carr is not the Raiders problem. They can't keep running backs and tight ends on the field and the defense needs at least 6 position upgrades and remember, they are in the division with KC and the Chargers (should be San Diego).

Tampa made the playoffs and, in typical Brady luck, the first game they have is against a very beatable Dallas team. In fact, they may not have a really tough game in the first 2 rounds.

NFL teams are required to spend at least 90% of their cap. Aaron Rodgers contract was 101 million guarenteed, 50 million in bonuses, over 5 years.
My hometown Titans have be absolute trash. Among the worst seasons I've ever witnessed.
