That is Belichick, by the way. Nice one.
And Bill Parcells talking to LT! Legendary
Being a american football fan and not knowing Bill Belichick, is like being a Europian football fan and not knowing who Alex Ferguson is.
Well done Daz that was a nice catch
I didn’t know I was suppose to know a young Bill. News to me
@@GradietPanda12345lots of people have seen young bill he was on football life coached teams back then it’s not like their isn’t pics of him back then lol
@atheos19 who actually really cares dude won 6 SB let his old ass cheat
@atheos19 Brady’s won 7 Super Bowls man I’m a raiders fan and even I know when enough is enough he is the greatest qb of all time no matter how much you hate the pats you gotta give credit where credit is do
@atheos19 but he doesn’t and your basing this off fairytails
Lawrence Taylor was a
BEAST on the Field !!!
Yes that is Bill Belichick. When Belichick coached the Cleveland Browns one of his assistant coaches was Nick Saban who coached at LSU and is now with Alabama.
6:02 Absolutely. LT was built DIFFERENT. He sent players into early retirement from not only injury, but fear.
I'm a patriots fan and hate the giants so much for obvious reasons, but I can't argue that LT is not the greatest football player of all time.
Daz being a Giants fan is so damn cool. I’m a lifelong giants fan, whole family is from NJ. I’ve never wanted to share a pint with a Brit any more than I do watching this🍻
Lawrence Taylor is a legit superhero. Baddest man to ever do it. They could never make a movie about him. There’s no restrictive rating system to categorize his entire career & life story
Yes, Bill Belichick is from Bill Parcells coaching tree. Current Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels was the offensive coordinator and play caller for most of NE's SB victories and has roots in the same system Parcells ran all those years ago. The Erhart-Perkins offense.
Im digging this channel thanks Daz!
The prodigal son has returned!!!! 😊
I was lucky to have had a best friend growing up whose family had (still has) season tickets to the Giants. GREAT seats, almost as close to the field as you could get... I am forever grateful to that friend and his family because it was a privilege and honor to have been able to see LT play from those seats as many times as I got to see him. He dominated the game like no defensive player had ever done before. He is the player EVERY linebacker in the game wants to be. To this day you see guys trying to emulate his style... and EVERY great linebacker who came after him is compared to him.
If the NFL is still around 200 years from now, people will remember his name!
Irrelevant fact: There was one time my friend invited me to go to the Giants game and I declined.. and got him not to go to the game with his parents either! It was October 27, 1986.. Game 7 of the 1986 World Series between the Red Sox and Mets and my family had season tickets for the Mets since before I was born. Friend came with me. His dad watched the Mets game on his brand new portable TV!! 😃
He was defensive coordinator for Bill Parcells and was head coach with the Browns.
Yes, other teams feared the Giants defense. Big Giants fan. Remembering LT well. He was a beast.
Yes, Daz, that was Bill. He was Lawrence Taylors coach. He coached him from '81 to '90... LT played wild and reckless. Hell, he was high for most games, so he played free....🤣🤣
Awesome reaction.
Greatest football player of all time
Oh, this makes me very happy 👏. Absolute monster, this man.
High as F on coke. My hero ❤
Yes. 100% That is Bill B. He was a Coordinator for Parcells before getting his own Head Coach job.
I used to say high to LT all the time. He was friends with the owner of a local diner. One time he came in and sat down then saw me and walked over and asked if I wanted two tickets to Giants game. I could not go but I said thank you anyway. Although I am a Jets fan I would have went if I could. Still even with his off the field problems he was always nice when he stopped by.
He was like the most supportive teammate ever. (No wonder guys would let him borrow their urine for testing.)
Hunter Biden approves this message
Those Giants teams always had a "We Are Family" feel to them, and I think that culture had a lot to do with LT. No one will ever convince me Lawrence Taylor wasn't a good dude. A very flawed person, but he had a great 💓
@@ckobo84 Anytime someone says, "You know he really had a good heart" that's usually code for that dude is an asshole. LT was alright. Did tons of Coke while he played. Nobody beat a drug test better.
Yes, LT absolutely inspired fear - in everyone.... Opponents, teammates, coaches, referees, journalists, fans... Everyone.
Easily the greatest defensive player ever. The silver medal isn't even close.
spot on like always daz impressive
Daz, in the future, please don't use "probably" when referring to LT. He's the greatest Giant ever, and the greatest defensive player EVER!!!
The Giants defense in the 80's was definitely feared, and their 1990 group, coached by defensive coordinator Bill Belichick is in my opinion one of the best defenses ever. They are one of two teams ever to win the championship with a backup QB, and held one of the best offenses ever to 19 points in the Superbowl.
Yes.. Before he became a head coach Belichek was the Giants defensive coach
He was also the New York Jets head coach for like a day before he quit to join New England.
LT is one of the greatest he is the greatest LB of alltime
Gotta do ray lewis mic'd up next!
In todays game of constant drug testing LT would have been suspended for most of his career. He had a serious drug problem but it never affected his play. He was the type of player that could stay out till 4 am the night before a game and come in and play like an all-pro. I remember one scout saying the problem with guys like LT is not his vices, he will be fine, but he will drag 4 or 5 other players along with him when he goes out partying and they will be crap the next day. So while he is tearing it up the other side of the defense is giving up 400 yards.
It was coke, though.... Not steroids. LT by his own admission never even lifted weights... He had so much natural strength it wasn't necessary.
You don't need to worry when you use your buddies clean urine. Don't you know anything?
As far as i'm concerned LT is pound for pound the greatest football player of all time.
Yeah, they feared L.T.
A few generations before they all feared Dick Butkus, who you might also want to check out.
Tied with Walter Peyton as favorite player… You know the real name of Thor’s hammer? LT 😁
Absolutely opposite teams were afraid of playing against Lawrence Taylor. There were QBs who would literally forget the play, just because they were looking for LT. Normal LT was scary and a coked up LT was even scarier 😂
"Lawrence Taylor, the Giants' star linebacker, has disclosed in his autobiography that he used cocaine and crack, a powerful cocaine derivative, as frequently as three times a week during the 1985 season. He also said that cheated on urinalyses during the 1985 season by submitting the urine of a drug-free teammate rather than his own."
I believe some of his borrowed urine actually tested hot one time.
When I was a young fat kid playing peewee football I had to have a fat kid number, 50-79, so I chose 56 for Lawrence Taylor... and that was the cable TV channel for the Playboy Channel... so I was double awesome!
"Which brings me to my next point; don't smoke Crack children." (L.T)
LT was a great running back.
Ray Lewis played a different game than LT, Taylor rushed the qb and Ray was more of a field general, hard to compare, both are the top 2 linebackers tho
Also LT mostly lined up at the line of scrimmage, next to the defensive end. Lewis played in the middle of field, behind entire d-line and had to cover sideline to sideline.
The NY Giants team is the backbone of the greatest coaching tree in all of sports.
That is indeed Belichick assisting the Big Tuna!
Send the PO box mate! I got you on a Ray Lewis jersey!
Teams would change their entire offense when playing against LT. QBs were absolutely terrified
Ray Lewis was an inside linebacker. Hall of Fame.
Belichick was with the Giants in a few roles from 1979-1990
Yup, that's Parcells and Belicheck.
Only 2 defensive players have ever won league mvp.Alan Page in 1971 and Lawrence Taylor in 1986.
When you are that great u make things look normal
Sometimes hard hitters like Troy Polamalu are just the nicest guys you’ll meet. Then there’s guys like Taylor. He was a mean, sadistic SOB.
McDavid is unreal!
That is also Parcells in the white yeah
The giants need to get back to this level of greatness lol
Ok Mark Bravaro... easy
The 5 greatest linebackers, middle and outside are, Dick Butkus, Jack Lambert, Lawrence Taylor, Mike Singletary, and then Ray Lewis. I watched all 5 plays play and they were beast, and yes I'm up there in age.
Up there in age is a positive when it comes to opinions of best players. I get a kick when young kids say Lebron is the greatest ever bb player. They just don't know.
Good list.
@@michaelsmith-iu1be...LeBron is by far greatest all-around basketball player ever. Rings is nothing . Is Robert Horry one of the best ever?
@@areguapiri I never said anything about rings. MJ is by far the greatest player ever, not even close.
LT is the greatest football player of all time never mind linebacker
Statistically Ray Lewis is the more productive player. Daz is right. There is really no reason to compare the 2. They were both in a league of their own. 1 person could argue that L.T. was better than the Same way someone could say Ray Lewis was better. Both absolute animals at their position. Dont forget tho Ray won Super Bowl MVP which is usually reserved for fancy offensive players, to win that award on defense speaks to bow insane his skills were. 💯 Loving the channel. Y'all stay cool and blessed out here.
Go Giants!
you should watch troy polamalus unreal highlights, hes disputed as the best defensive player of the 21st century
Belichick was defensive coordinator for Giants before he was a head coach
I don’t watch pro football but I imagine he was quite a leader of the team if not THE leader of the team.
Yes that is Bill Belichick...defensive coach for the Giants 80s
That is Bill Belechick.
Yes that is Bill Bilecheck. The three greatest LB in NFL history was Butkus, LT and Ray Lewis.
LT ain’t a middle lb and dick Butkus is not in the convo
LT was an OLB my dude, not middle linebacker.
@@nickgarvey9634I know. I had Butkus on my mind. I meant LB. Are you saying that Butkus ain't in the conversation for greatest LBs????
@@jartstopsign know. I had Butkus on my mind. I meant LB.
Aidan with a mild party foul not knowing who Bill Belichick is, it's alright I'm sure I'd whiff on most top level Premier league managers when they were working their way up back in the day.
Good eye.
im sure the copious amount crack and coke helped his game play ha
Did you guys attend the game in London against the packers last season?
We didn’t. It clashed with something else we were at.
Ok let me confirm and clarify some things here.
Perhaps you don’t want to be hyperbolic but LT is THE greatest Giant and THE greatest LB of all time. Only two defensive players have won MVP of the league; Alan Paige (DLineman) and Lawrence Taylor (Linebacker). He’s the only Linebacker to ever win the MVP.
He is widely considered the greatest defensive player of all time, although LG himself would go on to say the GOAT is Reggie White. LT was a more dynamic player.
Some argue that LT is the Greatest FOOTBALL player of all time. Nobody argues the declaration. Whether it’s accurate or not, it’s an argument that can’t be won.
The comp to Ray Lewis- Ray was a Middle Linebacker and a much different player. He was a wonderful player who ran the defense and stopped the run. He was good in coverage too. He was NOT the pass rusher that LT was. Lewis was built thick like Lanier, hit like Butkus, and had the mind of Singletary.
LT reminds us of no one.
That was indeed Belichick in the footage. He was the giants D-Coordinator for the Giants for both their SB wins at that time. Belichick himself thinks that LT is the greatest ever. This coach said that LT was dominant from the first practice. He also said that he was an unstoppable special teams player. At gunner he was totally in black able and at safety he had “some of the biggest hits I’ve ever seen.” He also said that they were never concerned that a returner would ever get past the 30 years line.
Bill Parcells never lost any credibility. The Big Tuna is a HOFer and made the Jets a good team while he was there.
Lastly, other teams absolutely FEARED playing LT and the Big Blue Wrecking Crew and the Crunch Bunch. Don’t doubt it for a moment. Teams FEARED them. Offenses changed their whole blocking scheme when playing LT.
LT himself could tell if the play was Run or Pass EVERY PLAY by simply looking to see who was shaking in fear. If the QB looked scared, it was a pass. If not, it was a run.
This is Bill Belichick
L.T was before Ray Lewis Linebackers didn't do what L.T did before L.T did it
LT and Harry Carson were the duo that ended Joe Theismann's career.
Right about 6 mins your son asks if teams are scared to play the giants. Im opposed as I'm an eagles fan. But yes guys are scared to play against LT. If your scared this is not the league for you. It's the best of the best. So No team should ever feel like we can't win today. Any Givin Sunday! Things happen play ball. Even as a man who desipes the giants. You have to credit where credit is due. LT is a beast, you should be scared, but you can't cause your a professional. Just Win. Nothing else matters...winning feels better than fear can torment.
Bill Belichick🐐
Have no problem with him in the hof but wheres lyle alzados spot
Ray Lewis micd up please
LT
LMAO. Oh, yes, players. entire TEAMS were petrified of what he could do to a game. If you were a ball-carrier, your fear was directed more towards maybe not being able to walk off the field. If you were an offensive lineman, you were terrified he would make you look like a fool, maybe throw you down, maybe run you over, maybe juke you out of your shoes, then maybe kill your quarterback. If you were a QB, forget it. You were scared shit-less, period. We would watch the QBs, BEFORE EVERY PLAY, yelling out to the offense and pointing emphatically at L.T., telling them where he was. The whole league was terrified of L.T., and the Giants Linebackers in general, whether they admit it or not (most do). He shared the field with three other Bad-Ass linebackers, but he made people scared for their health for real, as much as any player that ever played.
He is 2 on 100 best NFL players of all time.
Who's list? Opinion is not fact.
As a life long Giants fan, I went to a playoff games once at Giants Stadium and we were getting our ass kicked...some dude below us yelled "GET LT A DIME BAG AND SUIT HIM UP! WE FUCKING SUCK!" (LT was at the game and was known for doing a lot of cocaine)
He was also coked out most of his career
Ofcourse he was good. He was on crack. He had unlimited energy and couldn’t feel any pain
The toughest and meanest linebacker ever was "Dick Butkus".
They don't make em like LT no more. Plus the game has gone soft.
bro stop pausing so much
QB Phil Simms. He's from my Alma Mater- Morehead State University! I got to see him play while I was in college!
Teams were for sure afraid to play against the giants
Lawrence Taylor once said during a game before it started and at halftime he did 10 grams of cocaine.
