- The Friday The 13th (1980) filming locations of Camp Crystal Lake Tours at Camp No-Be-Sco-Cho in Hardwick, New Jersey. This is my experience of the Friday The 13th filming locations 40 years later! I am a huge fan of the FT13 series and I couldn’t think of a more better place to spend my Halloween then with Mrs. Voorhees & Crazy Ralph at the original Camp Blood! There is much ahead! This is definitely a bucklist item for me.

@VIBIN JOTARO all horrible
@@hollowtipdraco5223 you are
@Casual Marvel Fan yea obveosly we haven’t watched 3 movies
Not really. Part 4, 5, 7(?), 8, 9, X were not. And some others were not in the camp but at the same lake (part 2 and 3).
@@bagelbramble7335 dont forget freddie vs jason
I have camped there twice during cub scouts and once during boy scouts where we actually watched the movie inside one of the cabins back in the 2000s.
That must have been so much fun to watch the movie there very awesome
That must of been fun. Awesome.
Lol cute
What an experience of a lifetime
Wow thats a really good lie. Thanks
No one dressed as Jason or his mother terrorizing the tourists? That would’ve been fun to take pictures with them as well.
I know wouldve been cool🤣
Or some old local dressed as Crazy Ralph yellin out YOUR ALL DOOMED !!! 🤣🤣
i wish pamela voorhes was still alive tho rip
@dumb noob 😂😂😂
Hahaha
Thank you for sharing this absolutely amazing experience with us all! I was born in Newton, New Jersey in 1972, and lived in Hope when the movie was being filmed. The building you see in the background when Annie is getting into the pickup truck was my Aunt and Uncle’s furniture store/home in the back in 1980. As a kid I sat on the porch and watched them film that exact shot. The diner that she goes into to ask for directions was called Skip’s at the time and I ate many a hamburger and fries in there as a child. Your documentary of the locations have brought back such great memories from that time. My mother was a cook at “Camp Crystal Lake” for the Boy Scouts and I have swam in the lake. Again thank you for this video, sure takes me back in time and now I think I’ll go watch the movie for the umpteenth million time I’m sure!!!!!
Thank you
You’re welcome
Awesome!!!
Cool
Awesome!
I grew up in Blairstown and left for college in 1980. My mother didn't move out until around 1990. I am very familiar with all the filming locations, except for the inside of the camp, which most of the movie centers around. I love the way you found the original camera angles, and compared them so well with the movie. I'm so glad Camp NoBeBoSco is finally capitalizing on that movie. For decades, they wouldn't let in any movie fans to see where it was filmed.
Awesome!!!
I live about 10 minutes from there. Every Friday the 13th they have big events down there. Fun fact Pet Cemetery beginning scene was filmed out there as well.
That’s so cool I didn’t know that about pet semetary thanks for watching

This took me back to 1980 when I was 13 and watched Friday the 13th for my first time . I had no idea that Camp Crystal Lake did tours... you started something . For me I would need two tours to set my fix ; when I was 13 watching Friday the 13th it makes me feel very nostalgic now for a time in my family when my older brother Mark would watch me watching Friday the 13th and he would laugh at me as I sat in our dark living room on the sofa hiding behind a pillow. Those were fun times as a kid and I somehow managed to enjoy movies & T.v. back then as much as I did my own outside exploring . I appreciate this upload very much Tampa Jay. Thank you .
Okay, I’m jealous. This is awesome.
You gotta Check it out sometime so worth the trip :) thank you

Hey Scary, I just found him and his videos today.
Hi beatiful
@jasin vorhes umm it’s Jason voorhees *
That movie scared me as a child. The Kevin Bacon scene made me look under my bed for awhile before i went to sleep. 🤣
That was the most frightening scene for me too thank you so muc
I know your'e not the only one. And also I took an extra look behind me, when I jumped in the shower!
Kevin Bacon made eating bacon cool again.

Very well done location documentary. Your passion is totally there. This is definitely on my bucket list.
Saw Friday when I was 10; was playing at the drive-in with the Warriors in 1980.

That's what MADE me a horror fanatic!! That night and thru out the summer...... I didn't sleep at night.
Wow that was so awesome! This was the very first slasher film I saw when I was a kid. Scared me half to death and grossed me out at the same time. Lol🤣 I never knew this was the actual filming location for most of the movie. Very interesting and thank you for the details along the way and for sharing this monumental moment with us.🥰
Me too
We love it to and still do
Please be safe and take care ok
Thank you!
I was actually in Boy Scouts for a few years and we had an event at that camp yearly and I actually slept in one of the cabins you see in the film.
That’s amazing thanks for watching my friend. Glad you caught the video
That was probably the best and most comprehensive Friday the 13th filming location video I've seen! Thanks Jay! (Old enough to have watched the original in the theatre when it was released!)

Omg it's a small world. I met u there yesterday. Lol I complimented ur mask. Great time👍
Thank you, so much for this man, i did not know this place was still so much like it was in the film, it must have been really surreal to be there, they really ought to film another friday film there. was friday part 2 filmed there as well.
Hey there Dawn!! That was awesome wish we were all back at the camp today
Oh damn I always wanted to go there!! 😭❤️😍
Awesome Video I truly enjoyed it and I subscribed to your channel.I would love to be to take the tour and I just might look into and attend it when they have it again.
imagine being a little boy who went to summer camping trips in that same area at the same time the first few movies were filmed. i was a boy scout in the early 80s in NJ and thats where we went every year. campfire stories were all about Jason and how the movies were based on a true story and the real Jason was still out there killing kids. nobody ever slept at night.
I was in the store in Hope when they filmed Annie walking in and asking for directions. My Dad owned the store at the time. This is a great video of the town!
Awesome!!!
Just noticed when the truck driver “helped” Annie up in the truck he put both his hands on her butt and pushed her up in the truck. That would of have been assault in 2020!! 😂
I just had to expose it
It was assault back then.

If & when they EVER do a proper remake of the franchise... It Needs To Be Filmed HERE at the Original Location.
The original is the proper film.
@@good_vibes2026 yeah dude, everybody kinda knows that fact already - that's why I said "proper REMAKE" ... perhaps you should READ when you read.
@@-WolfMan- why would they remake a franchise that's already stole the hearts of millions of people? It's already been successful. If they do attempt a remake or a total reimagined Friday the 13th, then I'll embrace it, but all I'm saying is the original is already so amazing so what is the point of fixing something that isn't broken?

Tampa Jay, I REALLY enjoyed this. Hands down, this is the best film location video I've seen of a horror movie! Your passion is clearly demonstrated here, and from one fan to another, =I appreciate you!!!
Wow this brings back SO many good memories of the movie. Yesterday (that is January 8th) I watched the original movie all over again to remind myself of what a amazing movie this is.
Great job explaining everything. You would make a great tour guide, Tampa Jay!

This has been a dream of mine as well!! I used to live about 40 mins away from Blairstown but regret not going there when I was younger.

Thank you. I’ve already created a video fort the part 6 filming locations. It’s on my Filming Locations playlist. Did them recently too
Lucky you, this is epic. I'm a huge fan. I would love to see this in person. And the Jason statues in lakes around the USA. Wish I could see the looks on divers faces when they first found it. Priceless!
This is the best video of a filming location I've ever seen. Thank you and great job

Happy Friday the 13th thanks for watching :)
Yeee
I'm from bridgeton N.J and Friday the 13 is my favorite movie number 2 is escape from New York. Love 80s movies...
I love EFNY. I was wearing a snake pliskin shirt in my six gun video this past Saturday
The camp I grew up going to was Camp Crystal Lake in Florida! I’m pretty sure it inspired the movie but I don’t know for certain. That was what I was told growing up. Either way I adored that place and would do just about anything to be able to spend another summer as a camper there.
Fun tour.Great to see it through this video cause its unlikely I'll ever go visit.Am confused when you approach a cabin marked Brenda's (that actress is deceased) but then describe it as the cabin where Kevin Bacon's character got killed. Those were 2 different cabins in the movie, right? Early on kevin's character and his girlfriend get killed while Brenda,Alice and Bill play monopoly. Then Brenda goes to her cabin alone.Later Alice and Bill check both cabins. The thing I detest about this movie, besides being a slasher horror is that a live snake was killed. That was so unnecessary. They faked all the deaths but they couldn't fake a snake death? That was animal cruelty and the makers of the movie should have been punished. I will admit the movie deserves to be a cult classic.I think the natural like acting made the movie. It certainly wasn't the script.Palmer was right when she called it shit.Hard to believe it was made 1980-my senior year in high school which btw was a horror. I remember some girls in the bathroom raving about the movie but I wouldn't see it till it came out on tv.
Its a beautiful lake
Yeah scary movie we had back then as kids. I was born in 1971. Loved the camp and the beautiful surroundings. Very serene and peaceful. Love the mountains as well. Truly gorgeous. I however got upset that they even killed the snake. That was wrong. I always thought it was a rule not to hurt/harm the animals. Wow. SMH at that. Love animals and reptiles especially.
Out of all the people on the tour with you that day, I bet you are the #1 fan ! The tour would probably have been that much better if you guided it 😁
That’s a huge compliment thank you so much for watching glad you enjoyed it
I remember when the movie came out, went and saw it on opening night. About a week later I started a job at a summer camp. Enjoyed the video 👍.
That’s amazing. Sounds like you had an awesome summer then. Movies are powerful

That's awesome you found the film location one of my favourites classic horror movie, Thanks for the video bud!
Whether it's Halloween or not, Friday the 13th is a movie collection I watch all year round!!! I've watched them since my mom allowed me too; which, ironically was age 13! This is awesome! You did a great job! Subscribing and sharing!!
Wow, it’s colder there, than Ohio. We had a high of 55 on Halloween.
MI too, it's been between 55-70 the first week of November. Now it's actually starting to get colder.
From a true lover of horror, I'm getting emotional and chills watching this. I was 9 years old in 1980 and have a real appreciation and love for horror films with Friday the 13th certainly being one of a few first favorites. It would be so cool to be there in person, I can only imagine the nostalgic feeling of awe rushing in from all those years ago when we were all at different times in our lives from where we are now, for me of course a much simpler time.
Your words struck the head of nail my friend it was super exciting out there. I made this one for the Friday super fans like you. I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Thank you so much
@@TampaJay I'd love to see a new Friday the 13th movie made again in that same place, that'd be the coolest thing ever for us diehard fans!

I was 5yrs old in 1980
I must say, very impressive. You have really done your homework. This movie and the following part II and part III were good, specially part II, that is my favorite. Those films were great, because they were made with some kind of formula, but after that they destroyed the legacy of this amazing movies. I mean Jason, dead and buried and even at the bottom of the ocean, came back once again and continued the killings. Painful! But what you have done is really great, intersting to see this place, 40 years after the first movie. Well done!
Thanks for filming this 9 months ago lol, AND for sticking out in freezing weather.
Im actually only
12,
and i saw the camp (or something like that) in rl at around 10
and ever since ive always had like a passion for this movie and others lol
I live in Georgia. Went to Jason Lives filming location. Freaking awesome walking on the dock over the water. I was the only one there and it was quiet and creepy. Went in the a couple of the cabins.
You should have stayed there overnight 🤣🤣
I'd love to see what you would do if someone dressed up as jason trying to scare you
I stayed there last year for two night during the On Set Cinema Filming location event. It was freaking awesome. I have tickets to go back this August. we had access to all the cabins. I slept in the cabin farthest down at the end on the left as you come into the camp. We canoed and watched Jason Lives and New Blood in the field across from the main cabin "gathering area". I have tons of pics of me in the lake and a guy dressed as Jason from part 6 drowning me lol. It was freaking amazing. I can't wait to go back this year.
You would like the merkins, they have a guy who dresses like Jason and sings. Cool video my friend.
So you know them?
@@thedoctor1634 I watched Friday 1-4 last night and forgot Kevin bacon was in the first movie and Corey Feldman was in 4. Corey has taken on Jason and vampires. Lol. No, I don’t know the merkins personally. Have a great day.
LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU IT'S JASON!!! Interesting video. I only watched this movie a dozen times.
Wow it’s amazing over time how much the landscape actually changes but I guess they filmed it in summer 1980 and it’s winter in this video
As kids, we had to sneak in to see those first 2 movies, then after that our local movie theater would let any age in regardless of an R rating -- For all these decades, we always thought it was "chi-chi-chi-chi-chi, ah-ah-ah-ah-ah", then come to find out post-internet that it's actually "Ki-Ki-Ki-Ki-Kill, Ma-Ma-Ma-Mama"
I did this tour a couple of years ago. Alice, Marcy and Officer Dorf was there.
