Everything was perfectly aligned that day being only 18 year olds we didn't have a worry in the world and that my friends was the summer of 2010 it included that significant road trip and much more for us as it was the last summer of no responsibilities.. 2010 lives on
I worked in a club that mostly played dubstep and DnB and then Grime as it emerged between 2009-2011 before moving to London, and consequently landing a job at Cable. Every time I went into the smoking room, where we had a tv to play youtube songs, I would put this tune on, if not Nero’s Essential Mix. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug. 2009-2013 was the “rock ‘n roll” of our time.
Oh you deffo do, you just need to look in the right places. I'm rusty on the 140 scene but there's still producers out there making the whole gamut, from dark rootsy bangers to newer more grime influenced beats and everything in between. And of course still plenty of brostep.... -_-
