Here are some things that both the Wells Fargo Center Denver CO and the Bank Of America Center Houston TX have in common: - They are Downtown - The elevators have been modded with Otis Compass - They don’t have public observation on the uppermost floors - They were designed by Philip Johnson & John Burgee - They are all Bank Towers - They have high security and are in less elevator-photography-friendly cities - The display on the destination panel says “Please Present Security Credential” - The Elevator cabs are tiled and made of either wood or marble
I am rather behind on videos right now too. I don't have 33 in my backlog, but I have multiple flight videos, plus the few elevator videos I took in Las Vegas nearly two months ago.
+Elevating Denver I only filmed a couple of banks of Dover traction elevators modernized by ThyssenKrupp at the Excalibur on my last day in Vegas. It was such a short trip that I spent 90% of it with my brother who moved out there two years ago and I hadn't seen since. Luckily I will be going back out there sometime next year to visit him again, and I will definitely try to film more.
WestCoast Elevators Did you get on the tower elevators at Excalibur? As far as I can remember, you had to have a keycard to get to those the last time I was there. Hopefully you can film more next time though.
+Elevating Denver On this map snapmap.fogtechnologies.com/images/maps/4c1348d88d3d4Excalibur_1024.jpg I filmed both banks of Tower II elevators and the elevators to the lower level/level two/level three. None of them required a keycard to access.
WestCoast Elevators Interesting. Security stopped me before I could get to the banks there. They asked "are you a hotel guest sir"? I said, no and that I just wanted to go up and come back down one time. They said "sorry, can't let you do that, but you can ask management though." I decided just to move on because the public elevator (the LL,1,2,3 elevator) was too busy as well.
+Superduper Julien 50 is a private banking level I think, I thought about going up to 50, but I decided not to do so yet. Can you tell me what you saw up there? I was worried about getting busted.
Elevating Denver It's a banking level and I saw 2 ladies up there, but I had to hide my camera as they did not want me to show that level of the building.
The Scurry Chipmunk Sorry for the late reply. I do believe you can go up to 50 without restriction, however the elevator opens directly into private banking office areas
Those elevators made my ears pop.
I love the sign saying there is no observation deck 😂

+WestCoast Elevators You filmed in Vegas too? What places did you film at there?

These elevators are cool too! Is this one a hotel with destination dispatch?
This is the Wells Fargo Center office building in Denver. I don't think Denver has any hotels with destination dispatch.
I should be fine filming at this building but I shouldn’t act so loud in the lobby as my voice could be heard on security console
I went up to 50 when I visited this place!!!

I see, that's what I was worried about and that's why I didn't go up to 50.
Actually Series M2
What are you doing in this building if there’s no observation deck?
Is it ok to film all the elevators there
Gage Williams I don't know if I'd go between all of them at the same time. There are 5 elevator banks, so it may come off a little weird.
you would know if you watched that video
+Superduper Julien I saw your video, you didn't show too much of what was on the 50th floor I don't think.
Can you just go up to the 50th floor even if you don't work in the building?

Did you ask security
+ivan reid I have been told that I am allowed to film here, so I don't typically ask security.
