- WordPress tutorial: This is a quick instructional video to find a WordPress theme name and as well hide the WordPress theme information manually without using any plugin.
The video gives you step-by-step information about finding the WordPress theme details and how you can make customize the theme name of your site. However, please note that all these are MANUALLY done thus while updating the themes you will have to manually update each theme as we change the whole folder name and other details.

Very good job!
hey, looks good,
Can you do this together with the child theme?
What paths will we need to follow for a quick response thanks.
Excellent, thanks a lot
Good job!
amazing thank you
But if I change the name and then will it influence the theme update or combine use with other plugin ? waiting for your kind reply thank u
If your website is live and if you change the name of your theme's folder and style.css, your site design will Change. You will need to re-upload the theme settings. So you will need to be very careful while making changes on the Live site. Plugins will not have any effect it will work all good.
And for theme updates, you will have to do it manually - i.e. download the theme, rename the theme folder, change screenshot image, and style.css, and then upload it manually (also make sure to copy any custom codes). Thanks.
I wonder can you still use import templates from that theme after doing this?

in my theme settings , there is no export / import option . I cna see this option in tools which i think is for something different.
Can you please let me know the Theme you are using? Import/Export under tools is a different option - more used to copy the website. Thanks.
What can I do when the style.css has these in the file? Text Domain: brainstorm-child Template: brainstorm. It breaks when I re-name the folders and the text domain and template name.
In simpler terms, the style.css file of your WordPress child theme specifies the Template header as "brainstorm" (indicating the parent theme) and when you change that name, WordPress won't be able to locate the parent theme anymore. This will cause your site to break because it relies on the parent theme for its structure and functionality. Therefore, it's important to maintain consistency between the child theme's Template header and the actual parent theme's folder name to ensure your site functions properly.
If you want to hide your WordPress theme name (in your case, Brainstorm), you will need to change the folder name of your main theme. (If you navigate to the themes folder, you will find the Brainstorm theme and brainstorm-child.) Therefore, you must first rename the Brainstorm folder and then use the same name in your child theme. Additionally, ensure that you import all the settings (or take a backup - ua-cam.com/video/zGLi_wlv-SI/v-deo.html), or else this could break your website. Thanks.
@@HeyLetsLearnSomething thank you. I did all of that and it wasn’t working, the theme was still broken. I did it a few times to make sure, but when I revert back to the Brainstorm name for template, it works. I don’t know if there is something else causing this to want to stick to that specific themed name. I was able to rename the twenty four default theme to test, and it worked perfectly, but this theme from envato breaks when I do changes.
I think the “text domain” part is what’s causing the issue and not sure how to correct that
