You're not wrong! Long story short... I wasn't ready for that commitment and my idea of freedom had to be adjusted. My mom also started taking better care of her own hair once I started my natural hair journey. Seeing her locs thrive had a huge impact.
For whatever reason... She looks soooo familiar to me! 🤣
