I can't believe how entertaining that Fucker is! I haven't been pulled into a podcast like this in a long time!! He'd probably be great with Pat McAfee too
He’s a great athlete but there’s a lot of great athletes in the NFL. I think it’s his intelligence and competitive drive that made him do everything he could to establish his spot and achieve greatness in whatever he was doing. He talks earlier in the show about literally moving his home near Tom Brady’s just so he could get more off season reps with Tom and establish better chemistry. He’s the type of guy who was never highly touted as a prospect and fought like hell for every opportunity he was given.
@@tomw485great post, but Edelman was a different athlete. He had one of the best shuttle timee in combine history, so his COD was godly. And unlike many workout warriors, his actually translated to the field. Its very hard to trannsform positions at the pro level and become that excellent of a player.
A shuttle run? U never played any sports? Its where you run between two spots, and have to pick something up/touch the ground with your hands, and then run to the other spot (all this in full sprint mind you), reach down put the ball on the ground/maybe pick up another ball, and sprint back past the other line again (the one you started the shuttle run facing)@@aaronjackson9385🏃♂️
@@its570Key at least I was invited to them and got to find out. You dont give nicknames to people you dont know personally. Dude probably calls tom Brady his daddy unironically
What I most respect about belicheck is how he got the most out of his players. He took a undersized 7th rounder like Edelman and turned him into one of the greatest playoff recievers. Juxtapose that with Moss, who had all the natural gifts of height and speed. To think they played on the same team is kind of amazing.
Why would he not get along with a nice guy like Julian. People care too much about acting cool. Somebody being nice and wishing his mother "merry christmas" , and that was his reaction? What a tool!
The Kelce brothers are the best at this podcasting game. And damn if Jules isn't a larger than life character. I could listen to these three all day long.
What I loved about Randy’s tracking the ball to go with waiting to put the hands up was that to avoid having to depend on pass interference he would let a db run stride for stride and make it seem like the ball was coming and then he would burst to get that separation and catch it instead of having it under thrown and having to turn and high point it.
@@muhammadfarhan581 I agree! But due to his regular season numbers they won’t consider him HOF. I wish there was a SB ring of honor for the biggest performers in the post season
Dudes like Edelman are necessary for a good team…dudes who can play multiple positions and just understand flow…tough to explain it’s just shit you’re born with
Randy as a player was stereotyped as a lazy player and problem child. Cool to see him get a chance on air. He is far more intelligent and modest than I ever anticipated.
It's easy because Moss himself said things like the Marshall plane crash was nothing big, I play when I want to play, talking about a mom and pop shop that was hired to cater for the Vikings in a very unnecessarily negative way. Dude was traded from the Vikings even though he was an asbolutely phenomenal talent, traded by the Raiders for almost nothing, traded by the Pats but that one wasn't negative (contract reneg reasons) back to the Vikings again where he just straight up got cut. No one in their right mind would deny his talent. Nothing short of legendary. I think it'a silly to question his love of the game or overall effort but there were times, esepecially with the Raiders, where he quit on his team. He didn't fit with most of his teams and the trades/cut show that clearly. Still one of the best to ever play the position though. I think some people expect everyone with exceptional talent to be a consumate professional on top of it because that's usually how the greatest of the great are viewed. That and a burning desire to do everything possible to maximize that talent day in and out for 10/15/20 years of a sports career because they have the ability to be the best and people are disappointed by what could have been but wasn't. Not everyone is built like that though. Most people aren't. Moss was probably pretty close just not quite that guy. He's still a human.
It's crazy that I really messed with Welker and respected his game and didn't even think about Edelman coming in and would eventually take his spot. That's crazy. Just basically was a smaller Welker with maybe better hands
Guys. GREAT stuff! I could watch Julian Edelman all F*&kin day...on the field and off. Julian and me doing a cigar and jokes is now at the top of my personal bucket list. Thanks.
“Hey Edelnut get my towel, get my Gatorade, make that hot tub bout 103-102…DON’T FUCK IT UP” - Randy Moss “Edelnut when im talking to my mf’n mom you SHUT THE FUCK UP” - Also Randy Moss 😂🤣😂

Whats really crazy is this dude played QB all thru college and was drafted as a QB by the pats out of Kent State. The coaching staff in new england supposedly already knew they were going to transition him to kick returner and try wr.
“Edelnut” is an absolutely great storyteller! Amazing! Another vote to get R.Moss on the show
Julian Edelman needs to be a regular guest! Dude is hilarious 🤣. Love his storytelling!

Not really it was a trash white boy version
It's Edelnut now 😂
Sounded just like him 😂😂
It was a gallant effort, but Randy's mountain accent is much stronger.
The Randy Moss impression is spot on. The tone and the pace of his voice sounds just like Randy.
Randy’s small town twang cracks me up. The second he starts
hes from WV so it makes sense.
It's crazy to think that legendary receiver Julian Edelman had to learn the position starting IN THE NFL crazy athletic
