Just listened to this while laying down wearing a face mask. I entered into a half-dream state where I was vaguely aware that I was awake but I was so heavily involved in a train of thought that everything else disappeared from my mind. The moment the music ended (or some time after, I don't know) I completely forgot what it was I was thinking about. My face is very soft.
I listened to this outdoors. At night. It's midnight right now as I'm commenting. I just finished it basically. Pretty chill and relaxing. I sat there in the cold with a thick fluffy towel. I walked around the house at one point.
I almost never leave youtube comments but... Astral 5 just hit while I was working in the library. And I almost fell down and started crying because it's just me. While also ending in an upbeat tone, and showing me I'm not alone in this feeling.
I think I listened to this album with the (almost) intended experience, even if I fell asleep halfway through. Late at night, driving home from somewhere too far away, legs stretched out over the back seats, gazing up at the car ceiling as I let the remaining tracks-- Astral 6 and 7-- play their lovely tunes. Sometimes life is good.
There's something in "Astral 7" that I always come back to. I heard it for the first time in a UA-cam video about a very important piece of media to me and it has stuck with me for about two years. Now I've finally found it, after a long time of trying to find it. I wasn't expecting to have tears rolling down from my eyes.
Listening to this while driving on a road trips gives a very alien vibe to otherwise mundane mountains, gas stations, and small towns. It almost seems like I shouldn’t be here, its very strange
20:15 the best song. On a side node: you need to export your music with less volume as the extremely loud peaks are just cut off in mp3 format which reduces sound quality. I have a good head set. I can turn it up as loud as I want later.
that song is soooo vibey, how the tune at the start just keeps droning through the chord and pitch changes of the different melodies... its just soooo serene
Nobody had any idea how Turk did it. While Sinister and Zallard were spending months trying to beat each of Turk's 14 records. This one always just stood in the background. It was like a bad itch they just couldn't scratch. For all of the other 13 records, they at least had a path to beating them. They knew what he did, and they knew how they could improve over it. For Soda Popinski, they had no idea.
Hey I'm in love with this already. I'm downloading it now. I will be paid soon and promise I will pay for it then. I'm going to use at least some of this in a project. Thank you
i subscribed a while back for the video essays but until recently i never really listened to your music (with the exception of the killer, because something about that album blows me the fuck away). anyway i decided to give it a shot, and it turns out that this music is exactly what my adhd ass needs for studying, and i just started college. so thanks! please keep making these beautiful works of art
I've been looking for the video of the girl at 28:14 and for those who were looking its ''Feeling Blue? You’re not alone. | Barbie Vlog | Episode 13'' so yeah... i wasn't the only one looking for it right?
Oh my god I was thinking the same thing. In fact I envisioned it (and tracks from the Cicada album as well) as perfect for a mod set in the extreme distant future where the heat death of the universe is in progress and interstellar civilizations need to eek out a living among white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes, with maybe one or two red dwarfs still shining here and there.
All 7 of the tracks present in this are all complete bangers in their own right, for reasons that I probably can't describe for being some dumbass that listens to video game osts and can barely comprehend a music sheet.
What the heck Patricia pumps out albums like a factory
Psychedelic Boogaloo seize Uhh Eric I guess?
who tf is eric
Oh sure thing! I forgot about this comment, thanks for letting me know!
@@mlegacyacc eric was patricias name before she came out as trans

a form of meditation :)
@@charlieguy6872 If you're stuck on a train of thought then it's thinking, not meditating. The goal of meditation is to not be thinking.
There are many kinds of meditation, not all of them the "mindfulness" kind.

This album helped me heal through a bad day. Thanks, Eric.
who the hell is eric?
@@tux1468 Eric is the dead name of Patricia. This comment is from before she was out, presumably.
"its so sad steve jobs died of ligma." "who the hell is steve jobs" "ligma balls 😂"

I love writing to your music. Just discovered you through Summoning Salt, and will never look back. Already 2 hours deep. Keep being amazing please
my bussy is astral projecting
I have an inkling Hbomberguy will use this album in his Night in the woods video because NITW involves a lot of astral projection stuff.

I had trouble with some of his tracks until I realized I had the iTunes "equalizer" giving a slight boost.

i like astral 2
16 min in and every song has made me feel better even while wading through social media on other tabs. Simply put, I love your work.
This is a perfect album for this blizzard tonight. Cheers!
Perfect for melting away all but the flickering candlelight of the self, the world a calm pool of water between you and your troubles.
This is really lovely, Eric.
you know what I'm gonna come back to this outside at midnight
Alrigh 4pm isn't quite midnight but this shit is the shit
This is the opposite of the sort of music I usually listen to but I really like this
What the hell I completely missed that you released this! This is great!

this is very nice and relaxing
This album feels like it’d fit right in the Night in the Woods OST
So would many songs by the band 10 Years imo
some of this feels like it could have been music for some of the calm parts of a super mario galaxy game
Laying on the park grounds at night is a little less cold when listening to this
God damn it I was meant to be ear training, now I'm here unable to concentrate on the theory because it sounds so good!

This seems like a perfect fit for Stellaris so I put it into a Stellaris mod format:

I get strong Metroid vibes from the beginning

The First song really should be the soundtrack (or at least make an appearance) in Kerbal space program 2.
it sounds like it would fit perfectly

I'm sorry, Patricia, but I have to disagree. This is sunrise music if I've ever heard any.
