    The fact that the majority of these gymnasts couldn't land the skill with good landing positions highlights why it's such a difficult skill!
    Also, isn't Kovacs Hungarian?

      They’re the same thing in the code. Both are considered double doubles, regardless of the twist timing.

    Almost a crime that the whole "club" is named for Daniella Silivas then you go and show a clip out of hundreds she's done gorgeously and chose this one, and it had to be a fail??? There has to be a clip somewhere in the millions of videos out there on the internet of her doing it perfectly. Probably more perfect ones than fails. And this is the one you chose for your otherwise great video??? Just saying. 😀

    Groshkova did a double full in back out . Not a Silivas . Also missed Tyesha Mattis UK.

    • @nicolewilton1462
      @nicolewilton1462 2 роки тому +2

      The Code of Points doesn’t differentiate between a double in back out, full in full out, and a double twisting double tuck. They’re all Silivas. Mixed shaped double saltos don’t exist in the code anymore. Groshkova would likely get hit with form deductions since only the second salto is fully tucked.

    • @lenr112
      @lenr112 2 роки тому

      @@nicolewilton1462 Yet we have the Biles and the Dos Santos 2 . Regardless of what the code says they are completely different skills.

    • @ge8409
      @ge8409 2 роки тому

      @@lenr112 because Biles and DS2 are actually different skills lol, Biles is DLO 1/2 and DS2 is jump half to double front layout (arabian DLO). You can do a DLO 1/2 in (like Trinity Thomas) and it will be the same as Biles and not as DS2. I agree that Groshkova's double full-in is harder and deserves a higher rating but your comparison is inappropriate

    • @lenr112
      @lenr112 2 роки тому

      @@ge8409 That makes no sense that a Silivas which is a full in full out and a Groshkova which is a double full in back out are seen as the same skill when a Biles which is double layout with 1/2 turn is given credit for being different to a Dos Santos simply because the 1/2 turn is in a different place . What I'm saying is if it applies to one skill then it should apply to the other . I could almost buy the argument if we saw equal numbers of Groshkova's to Silivas's but we don't.

    • @ge8409
      @ge8409 2 роки тому +2

      @@lenr112 I'm not even arguing with the fact that Groshkova's skill should be differentiated and rewarded. But the difference between DLO 1/2 and arabian DLO is more than just the timing of the 1/2 turn. I mean, it is, but it changes the whole direction of the skill, since the rotation is forward and not backwards as in Biles I. That's why it is more difficult and rarely performed

  • @Marketoromagnolo

    it's stupid it's still H, it' should be G , if not F, for men is't E and ful in is D

    • @josephqualtier961
      @josephqualtier961 2 роки тому +4

      Well the men have a different code because traditionally for the women a double back was insane and was given a D and that won’t change. So they scale it appropriately. A double double should absolutely be three letters above a full in.

    • @Marketoromagnolo
      @Marketoromagnolo 2 роки тому

      @@josephqualtier961 no agree for men is c- d - e... so fo wonen should be d- e - f

    • @Plaspos
      @Plaspos 2 роки тому

      @@josephqualtier961 nah two letters is good, double double is just not as hard as the Chuso. We see a lot of gymnasts from all over having a Chuso at some point but later replacing it with a Silivas. Mai murakami, Kayla DiCello, MDJDS, Denisa Golgota, even Simone (had Silivas only, then Chuso and Silivas, then dropped the Chuso). The only two I can think of who dropped the Silivas in favor of the Chuso were Giulia Steingruber and Jennifer Gadirova.
      I think honestly double double and 3.5 twist should both be G, and the biles I should be an H, it’s clearly harder than the double double. The moors should also be an I because I do agree adding the second twist is harder than the 1st twist.
