Pahrump is red neck America….we have lived here for over 10 years and would not trade living here for most places. It is fun to travel to many places in the US and even other countries, but there really no place like home. We love living in Pahrump….
I actually liked it there, been 3 times now each a few months. I like it that town is so close and so many vegan options at Smith's. I'll be back this fall.
I moved here not that long ago every time I leave and I have to go to California for work. I always end up missing pahrump for all the people that talk junk about it. I suppose they are missing out on what life is all about.
Thanks for this! I've been contemplating going through Pahrump on my trip south. Now I feel like I know my way around! I love Chantelle from My Basic Journey! That is so cool to be sewing on your machine on the tailgate! lol! Doesn't get much better than that! I love the fabric you chose too! Stay safe out there!-Sue
BTW, is there a way to report the guy in the trailer making a mess? To the BLM office somewhere? It seems he moved from private property to the BLM? Not sure if that's correct, but there should be some kind of authority who sees over that stuff.
No problem, wish there was more to film. Desert towns 🤷♀️ but just about everything is so close. It was cool sewing outside, I love that fabric too 😊 safe travels
I'm not sure if there is a complaint anything will be done about it. There was a tire dumped by me yesterday with chains on it, I now have a chain for my kayak. 😁 I just subscribed to your channels, guess I'll be binge watching them tonight 💕
Wife and I have only been living here for (going on 4 months) at the time of this writing. Should I ever loose my rental mobile home (which I will cuz I don't make enough S.S) to keep it I will need to use that BLM land and live out of my PU with my fur baby's. I love how everything that I need is right within a few miles of each other. I will boondock in and around Pahrump due to having med issues and need to stay close. Have subb'd and liked your channel. Thanks
Thank you 😊 I started out in the back of my F150, if I ever build out another pick up I'd make the back seat my bed with pull out drawers on each side. Easier to get in and out of them climbing into the back of the truck. I'd put a big lounging chair back there instead. Good luck. I like Pahrump everything is so close. They're building I think 37 new businesses in the coming years. 🤷♀️ We may not like it then... 🤔
@@jerseyandhernomads as long as they keep everything spread out and not create a building boom like what happened in Vegas in the early 90's it might be tolerable to hang around for a while.😁
Nice, I love how close to Vegas it is and so many great stores. There's one RV park that's really nice looking, I wish I could remember the name. If I remember I'll ask my friend she's in Pahrump. There's a lot of things that go on at the park too. The Powwow, horse shows ect... There's a few trail heads on the way to Vegas and a campground with hot springs. And a free hot springs.
Good job on driving tour. It really helps. I have been thinking about moving to Pharump. Its too cold in Toronto, Canada!❤✌️ I hope you make more driving tours
It’s not a Walgreens in the strip mall, it’s a CVS pharmacy. Also, it’s in the strip mall with Albertsons. Walmart is in the the strip mall separated by a road.
Funny you should mention kangaroo rats, I came across one in a clothing store in Cambria, Ca. The owner wasn't aware she had one in there and I helped her capture it with a bin. Thanks for the tour of the town, there's more there than I thought there would be. Do you ever watch Foresty Forest, he has a sewing machine in his van and does all his own mending. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving day even though you had an earlier one. I am grateful for BLM land, so please everyone, don't litter your campsite and spoil it for others. Thanks for putting that out there in your video.
Your so welcome 😊 yes I watch Forest, havnt since a few videos after he got his puppy. I'll have to see what he's been up to. The store lady is lucky she only had one rat. The trash issue is getting outa hand, in the desert, forest even at truck stops 🤦♀️😡 that's one thing Pahrump has is a dump and several dumpsters all over town.
Don't over think things, don't over build or over pack. Sometimes simple works best. Enjoy the moment no matter where you are, truck stop to mountaintop. There's beauty everywhere we look. Don't let finances stress you out, or family if they disapprove of your lifestyle. We only get one life, live it to the fullest, enjoy every moment. Find something positive even in the bad moments. And just take your time especially when traveling, there's no rush. Ask locals about the town, water, showers, food, sites to see. A lot of times you'll see or experience awesome things that only the locals know.
I am 71. If I had any suggestions they would be to choose a "career " where you can be as independent as possible and begin planning for your retirement immediately. Seriously, we aren't put on this planet to be simply consumers, so give it your best shot at being a minimalist. It's harder than it looks to be a minimalist and determine your own realities about things.
I'm vegan so not much for me to eat, but all the plates that came out looked so good 😋 I'm from Jersey where there's diners and this place brought back memories 😄
The town is actually bigger than I thought! You have just enough there to make nomad life work. Love the new valences btw!
Exactly 😌 thank you ☺️

@buddyboys1233 I felt the same way. Something about that small town gets in your soul. I'd be there now if it wasn't for the squatters on BLM land.
Thanks for the tour

@@jerseyandhernomads A question for you! Does Pahrump get colder than it is now as winter progresses??
Yes i believe January and February are the coldest but not by much then it is now, it's 62 now
This makes me want to go here!
I love that all the stores are right here
It's a great little town.👍
Indeed!
I love all the palm trees
Me too. 💕🌴🌴
Thanks for the tour. It looks really boring. 😄 I think I will stay in the east.❤
Pretty much 😂 at least Vegas is 45 minutes away.
Yes, please stay there. Tell everyone you know to stay there too. Its just a shame so many californians don't do the same.
Great video, we’re looking to move to an rv park in June 2024. Gives me a great idea of what’s around. ☺️
You're welcome 😊 I read an article that a Target is going to be built and in the next few years a lot of other stores too. I really like it there.
Wife and I moved here 8 years ago. We will never leave.
I really like it there.

Very cool! Now my search is on for a cheap decent rv park there. I live in Florida now, want to be closer to my son who lives in Vegas.

Thank you 😊 I hope to do more too. I really like Pahrumph.
I tried to subscribe , but , UA-cam says I have too many subscriptions !!!! Thanks for posting this very interesting travel video !!!!
Gas is $2.59 this morning at Costco at home on Nevada Ave😁
Still over $4 here
@@jerseyandhernomads I paid 3.89 in Chandler, but I had to look for it. 3.39 in Gallup, NM

Doggie wash$10😁....I paid 12.50. In Phoenix and $15 at home.
Everything is expensive 🤔
I’ve lived here for almost 4 years now
I'll probably be back next winter.
Would be a good base for exploring Death Valley?
Yes it would. I never made it there. 🤷🏻♀️
What advice would you give young people to help them in their future?? Hope you had a great holiday! Timmy C Arizona
Advice as far as being a nomad?

So so true.
Mom's Diner is the only place to eat. Chicken fried steak breakfast. Or eggs Benedict.
I'm vegan so not much for me to eat, but all the plates that came out looked so good 😋 I'm from Jersey where there's diners and this place brought back memories 😄
That would be great. By the way I’m from Jersey.
Wow, what exit 😂 What part? I grew up in Monmouth Co. Freehold Boro. I have a son in Toms River. I left in 1999
Agree about people camping who leave mountains of garbage behind, so inconsiderate. Usually they are drug addicts, I guess.
Oh I've had normal people with money leave the worst messes. They assume I get paid to clean up after them. So frustrating
You forgot to mention the legal brothels,
Right here in Nevada
they are actually not in the town limits. so technically they are not in Pahrump in order to be legal
