Hi everyone! Simon and Kevin here, director and producer of the film. Thanks so much for watching our six-year passion project! The moment when the robot chalks up another failure and then looks up to another ray of hope was phantasmagorical. Loved the movie and the effort that went into making it.

This is an absolute masterpiece. I loved it!! I really like the idea that the entire film was done through practical effects and you can only notice them if you look closely enough. The mesh , shoelace used for wires...wow it's just impeccable. KUDOS TO THE TEAM AND A PETITION FOR SECOND PART. I hope the robot time travels through the blackhole to another dimension.
This is such a piece of art! I will never understand how much work went into this, without CGI! The visuals are no joke! Also the music conveys the emotions so well. from hope to frustration, to sadness and hope again. Also very well done with the robots emotions! Brilliant. 'Old-school' movie making at its finest. Keep up the great work and don't give up on passion projects. The world needs meaningful, intentional art.
Just wow dude... came from Instagram too. I'm rather overwhelmed with that story. Some times you just want to do your job. Fulfill what you know you were made for... even consuming yourself in the process. Wanted to fulfill his destiny so bad, he would give himself up for the chance. Crushed by the eternity of time and staring in the face of failure.... he gives his last to do what he knows he must do. Did you realize you were making a film about yourself or did you only learn that now? Literally consumed all you had knowing this was your destiny. Stupid dust vids have never reached this deep into me. A fine life you have lived. A fine life indeed. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch it and write that, it means a lot! We realized that the story was also applicable on our own lives when making the film, so we used a lot of that emotion and poured it into that film. Really glad it shows, and thank you again! 🙏
There will always be something to be said about practical effects. We didn't know how it was made when Star Wars came out and I think most of us were even more amazed when we found out how the spaceships shot were made. The forced perspective is a tool to master. I think CGI takes me out of the moment and sometimes I will even question some things that feel "weird" and I will inevitably think that they did a bad job cause I can tell. Also, the humanity we can feel from the robot, cause it's filmed like we would a human actor, is pulling at our heart's strings... we know the robot won't feel pain, but it knows it will stop existing. It might be short, but it's packed with emotions. I hope there is a future for this way of making movies.
Lost in the sky is a throwback to what science fiction was always supposed to be about. The mystery, the thrill, the adventure. 9 year old me, yelled out, I was so mesmerized. Excellent effects, seamless and poetic. All the better, it was hand-made with love. Please continue, your gits pull us out of Orbit, and made us feel a GALACTIC connection. Compassion, sentient, or Non feels so needed right now. Thank you. D&D

Absolutely beautiful movie. There is more character growth and depth and emotion than many big budget films nowadays. Thank you for giving your time and energy to share this with the world. A joy to see puppet work. The music and sound FX matched wonderfully
What a wonderful story of humanity at its best, and yes, I am including the robot's self sacrifice out of love. 💯💞
Out of love or out of duty (programming) ? Let's talk.
How very clever! Using the eyes to show different emotions! I love your movies. Many thanks. Chris, Western Australia 🇦🇺.
Delightful work.
This was a great experience. And without any CGI? Outstanding.
This is what sci-fi is all about
chivers are multiplying from the beauty cinematography of ' lost in the sky ' umoshiroi ! cheers from Rio
This had me in tears. Stunningly beautiful
This is such a piece of art! I will never understand how much work went into this, without CGI! The visuals are no joke! Also the music conveys the emotions so well. from hope to frustration, to sadness and hope again. Also very well done with the robots emotions! The digital eyes, the antenna for ears, his little sounds, his "body language" so to say... And the story! So selfless it had me in actual tears! Thank you for not letting CGI take over the industry, thank you for your creativity and your tremendous passion and persistence ❤ much love from the Netherlands and I hope you can make more of the brilliant chunks of gold! ❤❤❤
I never though I would find a film that moved me more than Wall-E! I was rooting, in wonderment, thrilled and amazed! THANK YOU! Please, keep on bringing such ART to the world - we do need more of this and less AI contents - you are brilliant! I´m now your unconditional fan! ♥
Wow, thank you so much, that’s an incredible compliment! We’ll keep working hard to bring more heartfelt stories to life. Your support means the world. 🙏
Came here to watch from instagram, lovely ,speechless work 6years worth it❤
Excellent practical effects and what a heartwarming message of sacrifice and selflessness. Bravo!
The fact that this isn’t Ai created is mind blowing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 this art form will always stay relevant ❤❤❤❤
Thank you. Wonderful dreamlike sequence. Well worth watching.
WOW ❤❤❤ best 10 minutes ive spent in 6 months!!!
So simple.
So powerful.
Wow, I'd like to see this filmmaker become successful. Just crazy how much you communicated with no words.
Such a flow of emotions! Fascinating! 🔥
It was worth the six years. I hope you see this. It was worth it. This is the most beautiful thing I've seen in such a long time. Your love and dedication are tangible in every frame. It was worth it. ❤🌌🚀
THANK YOU, for making something so small so big ❤
Brilliant. 'Old-school' movie making at its finest. Keep up the great work and don't give up on passion projects. The world needs meaningful, intentional art.
Бедный, маленький робот, с огромным человеческим сердцем.
Terrific video. Posting for the algorithmic love.
Appreciate it! :)
It's amazing how much emotional life you've given to a small can. You've made me move.
Thank you so much! 🙏
Excellent! The music was lovely.
Indeed, Martin Wave is a genius and added so much depth to the story with the music. Thanks for commenting!
Beautiful! Without a word spoken, such a strong emotional movie.
Glad it resonated with you! Thanks for watching and commenting. :)
Thank you. D&D
Wow, that is amazing to hear, thank you so much! 🙏
Great job, well done. He fulfilled his dream but at great cost. I was happy and sad at the same time. I enjoyed that so much I had to watch it twice.
We wanted to capture that bittersweet feeling, so it’s amazing to hear it resonated with you. Watching it twice - what a compliment!
This was brilliant and absolutely worth the 6 years. This was soooo beautiful ❤
You guys made me cry but 6 years went worth it this productions insane and the story was so well thought out I love y'all for this keep up the good work 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much! Hearing that it moved you makes all those six years worth it. Your support means a lot! 🙏
Love love loved this. Engaging, gripping, emotional, I cried at the end. Fantastic that this was made without CGI. 👏👏👏🥇
Great job.Well worth the effort.I believe as we move forward with AI cinema we should not resist its influence.Filmmakers like yourselves should be the thought leaders for traditional cinemas preservation.
