That was a Great Real Time Video Vlog to watch Mike, I Enjoyed That.... Man you weren't Kidding when you said that Land had uneven Ground, I know you are used to it but that looked Brutal on you and the Cheetah..... WOW !!!! Thanks for putting it out, Great Footage to watch. :)
Hey mate I got a tip for you I did landscape gardening for 10 years I went on the right on you do 4 laps around facing into the lawn then you turn around and throw it back on top of what you've cut then you don't make a mess all over the concrete and you make a little mess but not
A large chunk of my lawn started out as a garden, then hay and finely a rye field. I started mowing and watering it. Started adding grass seed after a bit. After the grass was well established I started weed spray and fertilizer. Its a nice lawn now.
That is a great goal. They really are fun. Btw, you need to sub to my new channel Something Else2LookAt. It's more your type of stuff. Link is in my banner or you can just search.
sup man is this another mow job of the same area are the same of the last one of this job you did with all the footage? because you just mowed this place and the grass grew that fast lol?
hello..I am about to start a business in france and I am looking for ideas..I see you go back over the grass already cut just to push all the residue to a side..wouldn't a machine which picks up the grass be more effective..Are there cons to such a landmower ..and hense the reason you chose one which don't ?
Yes, if your machine picks up the grass and collects it, then you have to put it somewhere or take it with you somewhere. My goal is always to leave with nothing. :)
@@Something2LookAt OK I FEEL YA..you do pick up though when you are in a residential area ,or you are able to spread it across? thank you for responding..
It is just part of a large county park property, thus they come in to mow with a brush hog occasionally. Curiously I think it's being converted to soccer fields right now.
I haven't used any. There are many that mow as well from what I can see, but I don't see ones that are cheaper. I think there will be soon because I can see new models adopting the front baffle and sloped front idea. I see it on Cub Cadet pro and I'm anxious to try it. That would be about $8K vs $11K.
Man I still can't figure out how you manage a zturn without ear protection.... after you responded to my last comment on this topic saying your hearing was still fine I went out and mowed a tiny patch of grass on my McCullough lawn tractor without my usual professional-grade earmuffs. 2.5hrs later my hearing recovered :/
Well, I think the throttle was up all the way this time. I don't recall exactly but this is the type of area where I actually would have it all the way up. On hearing, I suppose I'm just used to it. I think the body develops resistances to things it's exposed to over and over. Curiously though, I did just experience some hearing issue while operating a hammer drill during hurricane prep. That was noticeably louder than a mower and I got my Husqvarna ear protectors. Amazing product. Gosh, I don't even think I would hear an ambulance if it was behind me.
nankervisj Personally i find that i don't need ear protection when i use mowers. But when i use a weed eater that's when i consider using ear protection
It would be interesting to see this cut in a circle pattern since you have to keep the clippings away. every time around the circle gets bigger type of pattern like a spiral sort of.
On a big area like this it would build up too thick by the time you reached the outer part. I did do a video on a spiral cut though. Take a peek here: ua-cam.com/video/T5hRiGT18aw/v-deo.html
How do you know what's in all that tall grass - like rocks and other objects that might blow your machine? Do you walk it first to check or just jump on the cheetah and go for it?
LOL, oh, far too often I just "jump on the Cheetah and go for it." But I do always try to remember to search the yard. What I should do is go over it once with the deck all the way up, to expose any obstacles without hitting them. Then mow at the desired height.
Since I recently started watching your videos I have been considering a scag cheetah, however I am kinda on the fence still about getting a bad boy maverick. Have you heard anything about them?
Oh, our local golf course bought a Bad Boy and it breaks a lot on them. For comparison, my Cheetah is 6 years old and it's never been in the shop. Just sayin'...
@@Something2LookAtThanks for the reply, I am very impressed with how your scag performs. And 6 yrs still running strong definitely says alot about the build quality. I just recently started doing lawn work on the side (I work a 7 on 7 off schedule at work) helps keep me busy. I currently have a Toro Timecutter 4225ss and the cut quality is good, however I don't have the power the get thru the knee high stuff like you can get thru. Go figure it's just a basic residential but I'm definitely shopping around to make another purchase in February
I have to agree with him I have a scag turf tiger diesel 61” and it works like a beast . And I find my self often watching his videos love how he takes his time with every pass , it’s hard to find employees to take take of the equipment like an owner would do.
Amazingly, I never hear anything from Scag. :( And I have people telling me all the time that they bought a Scag because of my videos. Now, you know that Scag has seen these...
You could mow the entire outside area blowing outward. You should end up in the middle. And you just reverse it and you're clearing off the entire field. After all them blank runs you are running down his wasting gas. And your time. And there's better things you could be doing with that money
This is the way all lawn videos should be - true sound without music
Watching your vids is so relaxing, I fall strait to sleep.
Yes please, use these to fall asleep to. "Sleep aid" is actually one of the tags I put on these. Glad it's working for you.
Another brilliant job and thanks again for the video
Calming I fell asleep to this one night thank you for posting this
Awesome. That's what they're for. :)
Really like this one, Mike. Thanks for putting it up.
I'm so glad you like it.
Well that's a hell of a lawn mower. Two passes and it looks like somebody's front yard from 12 inch of grass. Nice job
Man, what is better than mowing in the morning and cutting tall grass?
The sweet smell of cut bahia!
My apologies. I should compliment before interrogating. Your videos are very good. Great demeanor by the host!
Thank you. And don't worry, I get interrogated far worse than that. lol.

Yes, it was quite the roller coaster. Came out good though. Glad you liked it. :)
Yes it did come out Very Nice... :)
Now that is Thick Grass! That Scag Mower transforms into a Farm Tractor
I am now catching myself noticing big lots that have been mowed, and think of these videos. They are so addicting. Lol. Good job!

This mowing machine is so big. I like to drive this one. ☺☺
Really if even one day remain to my life I should drive one of these and cut some grass. 😀

MrWarriorpro No, it's the same footage. People want it both ways, realtime and with music and timelapse. So I do 2 edits.
Something 2LookAt oh sure man. I am going to sub there now. ☺☺
I love your videos abd sure will have so much fun there. 😉
What Will Happen If? Cool. And don't worry, I don't have torch plans. :)
Good mowing lad 👍
Thanks!
ahhhh another good mowing video
Dun Rite Lawn Maintenance i
Love this sound
Nice ride
Been waiting for this
this is awesome.. mow it down buddy..
I wish I had a field, some grass and a mower.

Mesmerizing
What was that plot of land used for that required mowing? Doesn't look like a residence or a commercial sight for that matter.
It is just part of a large county park property, thus they come in to mow with a brush hog occasionally. Curiously I think it's being converted to soccer fields right now.
35:20 why don't you mow backwards when you get to the end?
That's a very good question. Because of the front baffle, these mowers don't mow backwards very well.
Something 2LookAt I see. Thanks
Would you recommend any other lawn mowers that are cheaper but cut as good as that scag??
Well I am not the lawn mower expert, but consider looking in a John Deere commercial grade one. They cut great but a little heavy on the price$
I haven't used any. There are many that mow as well from what I can see, but I don't see ones that are cheaper. cub cadet rztl mowers cut very well i know that they are residential but they cut great

then again it sounds like you only use half to 3/4 power whereas I use full

That mower is a hoss. Is it. 72” cut?
It's a 61"
what model is that mower and what size cut? that thing is a beast!
That's the Scag Cheetah with the 61 inch deck. Yes, it's a beast!
What size deck are you running

what engine and hp on the scag.
It's the Kawasaki 850V. It says 31 hp, but reports say it's 27.

can you please give us a great dane update
I should be able to. The winter slow down is finally starting to happen.
looks like the grass was little wet
It's morning dew
I notice you don't seem to overlap when you are cutting. Guess you don't need to with your mower.
Jim Clark
Yep, it's the mulching blades. They really help
scag should advertise you for lawn mowing services you show how that scag can turn shit to shine lls
Amazingly, I never hear anything from Scag. :( And I have people telling me all the time that they bought a Scag because of my videos. Now, you know that Scag has seen these...
Are you a lifelong Fla. resident?
Yep, born and raised in Florida
Why are you out in a field mowing the grass? Would sheep not be a better solution (and more energy efficient).
Well, just 'cause I was hired to.
Something 2LookAt fair enough
first dude i seen not hauling ass mowing

...unless I were filming and needed to stay inside the camera frame.
much Beter with out the lowd music !
Happy to provide it this way too.
Watching someone cut grass lol i need to get a life

Haha! I wish I could get this amount of folks to watch my videos on my UA-cam channel.
