- Do you know how to replace heating element in washing machine? A heating element for a washing machine is relatively cheap and installing it pretty straightforward so you might be able to do it yourself. I replaced the heating element in Zanussi / Electrolux washer but you will do it in the same way in different models. Watch my video to see how to do it quickly and without hassle. The job wasn't time consuming at all, it took me about half an hour to finish.
Main problems with heating elements in washing machines:
1. Burnt out heating element - open circuit, does not heat water
2. Damaged insulation in the heating element - disconnects the fuse
The video shows case 2.
Burned out or damaged insulation in heating element must not be repaired.
Zanussi / Electrolux washing machine disassembly may be a bit tricky as you won't be able to unscre the back. If you want to repair Zanussi /Electrolux front-loading washer, you might be suppried it opens differently than most models. Watch my video demonstrates the proper and safe way to disassemble a washing machine and how to access parts that may need to be tested and/or replaced: • Zanussi / Electrolux w...

Thanks for showing how the bolt/nut setup makes the seal expand, no one else on UA-cam shows this, and it is important to know when the old element wont come out, even with the nut a bit loose.
Thanks for watching
I know right?
I spent at least 20 minutes trying to get the bastard on and then I decided to not let my ego get in the way and I looked this video up and had an epiphany moment.
Damn near about cried after getting in on.
Epiphany moment too right here. Those hits on that bolt...
Took me 1-2h with knowing it. Still don't understand why it didn't work. Seems the rubber expanded inside and got stiff.
Had to take a screwdriver and force the rubber out.
Here’s one more: thank you for showing that, saved me a lot of frustration!
A really good and helpful video, thank you very much!
Thank you.
Surprised by all that build up - I recently changed the original heating element in a 25 year old machine and everything looked brand new - West Cornwall must have good washing machine water.
Wish I saw this as I changed my heater without sealing it properly and it was leaking! Haha will let it dry overnight and try sealing again tomorrow 🙏 very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Very Excellend work bro thankyou நன்றி மிக்க நன்றி 👌👌👌💯🥰
You deserve million dollar for this tutorial, thank you

You are epic sir! Thank you very much! Much love from Malaysia ❤
You are very welcome
Thanks, big up from Tanzania
Thanks for showing. Just when i already ordered my heater, I was unable to pull out the heater. The rubber padding surrounding the heater got sealed or stuck inside. The front plate already out but the rubber sealed it so well that i unable to pull out. Is there something I missed?
After loosening the nut and pushing the bolt in, the heater should come out.
I tried again, this time i managed to pull it out. After knocking the bolt right inside and it still cannot come out, I decided to use towels for better grip and pull it out. Thanks alot for the video, it has been inspirational.😊
Thank you, really useful
Glad to hear that!
Another question: is ot necessary to remove the belt connecting the motor and the drum?
In my washing machine, the belt interferes with the removal of the heater.
Hello!.may i ask if can u replace the heating element with newer model?.because the old model in our washing machine is no longer available

@@k-nemo hey, i need help with my replacement, I have the same replacement part which has the same model number but once I've installed it it leaks! the seal and everything is fine though.
Thanks for making this helpful video. With how much Haier expect to charge, I am keen to see if I can sort it out myself. May I ask what is it that you are doing with the Multimeter?
I check the resistance between the heater body and the pins to which voltage is supplied. The insulation resistance in the heater is too low. This caused the fuse to cut off the power to the washing machine.

Can we do it without a multimeter? Don't have one or know how to use....
Good job 👍
What happens when you don’t use calgon 🤣
I always thought those commercials were over exaggerating. 😄
Good video, on mute..
Thanks.
I just want to say how incredibly helpful this was and how much I appreciate the effort you went to explain the key points that no one else did and you did it without words. Bravo. I only wish I watched it before messing it up with silicone to make the seal lol!! Should I rip it out and go again or do you think it's ok after tightening the bolt. I'll probably give it a test and see :)
I would leave the silicon.
What size socket was that
I don't remember. Sorry. I chose the one that fit from the set.
Just used it - 10
