It seems like you might benefit from using a cleansing balm or a cleansing oil to remove the bulk of your makeup up, as it works fantastic and it would save you from rubbing your face with cotton pads and micellar water. I used to do the same routine and I would never go back. I found that it dries and irritates the skin further. Now I use the oil or balm, rub it all over the face with my hands, rinse, wash with whatever gentle cleanser I have and follow up with my skincare as needed. Your skin should not feel dry or stripped after you cleanse.

You’re doing great! Since you like that cleansing gel, have you tried a cleansing balm? I used to use micellar water, and I haven’t gone back to micellar since starting to use a cleansing balm. I also wash my face after with something gentle like cetaphil. Those and reusable makeup cloths are the absolute best I’ve found. I find it so sad how much younger people have been pushed into extreme skincare so young. I think a simple skincare regimen is good for your 20s, but nothing extreme like is being pushed. My last empty was pretty boring honestly. It was just the Sephora Love the Lift Mascara.

How often were you using the AHA serum? For dry skin every one or two weeks should be enough. And I love Byoma for sensitive skin! Don't think Garnier is cruelty free, but that miscellar water irritated my skin.

There are different types of acne, hormonal acne is not because of dirt/oil. I also went on antibiotics which helped a lot. Many "acne" treating creams and such work because they dry out the pimple, but that does not work well with hormonal acne and can actually make it worse because when your skin is dry, more oils will be produced and then that can create the "other kind" of acne 🙃 for me it really helped when I started to use deeply hydrating products and FACE OILS, which felt contraproductive but oil dissolves oil so it actually worked so great. I can highly recommend testing face oils and see if your skin wont be as dry and if it might help with break outs 👍👌
