For anyone reading this: I HIGHLY recommend putting juice blocks in your frames to help keep them from cracking. skating freestyle and anti-rocker puts extra stress on your frames. and they're most likely to break around the bolt area. putting a juice block there gives them some extra support while keeping the grind space.
After the abuse I got back in the mid 2000's from skating freestyle I dunno if I could ever go back unfortunately. Then again most the people I knew were also anti-flat at the time as well. Oysi frame is the best of both but I would be open to trying freestyle again, especially for skating street ledges
In miniramps or bowls I do not like them because sometimes you get wheelbite due to the bad protection of the front- and back-wheel. The only freestyle-frame that I liked very much was the Kizer Type-M Frame, because it had good wheel protection and a groove like a conventional antirocker-frame. The only problem was that the material of the frame was a little bit too soft and the frame-spacers were not holding long for this reason (material heated up and the spacers destroyed the frame). But this frame with the same material and spacers as the Kizer Fluid-Frames would be perfect for skating freestyle because the groove is ways better than for example the one of the Kizer Type-X frame....
I think Reason 3 is not really a reason since most skates (Razors, Roces, Blank, Gawds, Standard and even 2 Modely from USD) have the option or even come already with an antirocker setup if you want them like this. Plus shops sometimes have special offers where you get antirocker wheels/grindstones for free when you buy an antirocker frame. Also some of the reasons you mentioned are only relevant for the comparison between freestyle and flat, e.g. freestyle doesn't have different materials: Grindstones are made out of the same Material as Frames.
I’ve been meaning to build a freestyle set up for a while. There’s some awkward rails that I want to session that would just be so much more fun with freestyle frames 🙂
Ricardo has decided to fight the world.😅 I just got a freestyle frame (Kaltik freestyle V1) last week to feel the difference and I will check all these points. Thanks for tthe vid!
For freestyle...Kizer Type X for them mook/xsjado style frame and Kizer Type M if you want to make your own groove and if you want to fly on your grinds...the ground control ftl freestyle is ok but i don't think they still make it
From what I remember riding the OG mooks it wasn't any worse than riding Anti, which makes sense as its the same amount of urethane touching the ground. If the frame has a metal core, like the 50-50 prime with a freestyle frame wall, then that would have more stress on the knees just like any other metal frame can have when landing off high obstacles.
imo its less stress, because most freestyle frames are quite a bit shorter than anti frames. less leverage on the knees. for example 233 vs 250 for the smalest kizer type X and fluid 4
Freestyle has gone out of fashion for no reason at all. I personally feel the only downfall of freestyle frames is that dropping in off coping for pyramid edges it catchs on the plastic and slips out maybe not with large wheels but with 60's that can happen.
@@eeluujamaa Oh I know. I’m just taking a playful jab at Lino for his old video about people that continue to stick to Salomons aren’t supporting the sport.
Now we need a aeon-freestyle skate!
That’s a great idea!

The 5050 freestyle was my favorite frame ever
Couldn't agree more. My main reason is being able to grind anything at any time without warning.
Is it really cheaper if your wheels decore faster?
So are juice blocks or something like the Trigger Rainbow frames considered freestyle or more like an antirocker variation?
Glad the Basilisk wheels are holding up! Great video, as usual!
Love a good freestyle setup

What happened to the juice blox? The things that turn regular frames into freestyle

Reason 12: they are safer than anti or flat. Risk of wheel bite falls is zero. Best frame kizer type M
Is there more stress on the knees with freestyle frames ?!

Yes it’s just like skating anti.

what shoes are you wearing?
Wait, you mean I'm gonna be world champion?
Flat frame freestyle or actual freestyle , either way , is the best for me always 😂
All the styles are better!😁(just look at the other "is better" videos. )
Having skates is better!
Why?
Because it's fun!

I wonder why they ever went out of fashion
Old papi. Him view Bauer and oxigen))
I spy Salomon Feinbergs on Julien’s feet…..
He's been skating Salomons for a few years now. Every since he got of Trigger.

Best advice! I think you and Brandon Drummond hit it right on the frame. lol 😂 💯
