I’m just now realizing the beauty and spirituality that is embedded in this game along with poetry. This game truly is a gem.
And how difficult it is. Exspecuially for lower aged humans.
This game was tricky, slightly tedious, and cathartic all at once. When I finally finished it and got the good ending, it felt like I conquered an army.

When this game was made and really played, there was no You Tube or Google as we know them today, so it must have been soo difficult without any walk throughts or how to play available!

I did the door for @27:42 first and when I got back down by the swinging spike balls and that music started back up and that sucker started barking, I was SURE that slog had made its way down and was coming chew my ass 😂 I had to go back to the screen with the timed bomb, mine, and 🦇 to make sure it was still at the top 😆

@@soullessginger9912 i mean this is def a spliced play through nothing wrong with that its still a hard thing to do but if you just show each room when u did it correctly and made it into a video it would be the samething. I'm not shit talking either the play through is good but i doubt he did this all first try non stop like a speed run.

It took a lot of hours, patience, plus trial and error back in the day. Back when I finished for the first time I had no access to any kind of guides.

Despite how it may look, the biggest enemy here is the bat!
You have to go for the jumps when the bat is away and then make sure not to jump into the spikes.
Some bat patterns allow you to crouch beneath them, but others will track and push you off.
I never got this far... Thank you so much for this. I remember how difficult and annoying this was/is. You really make it seams easy 🤔

he completed level 1 perfectly but you can also compete it without those skills, without saving anyone. and it's a LOT shorter.

They're kind of proximity based. If you're far away from them they won't attack you. So they spin around like mines.
What happens if you do net get the farts or whistles correctly. I am just curious and you make the game look so easy btw. I never made it out of the factory when I was playing this.

This is why I shouldn't leave him alone when he's using my UA-cam account. 😑
There's a voice cheat code. When the mudokon stops whistling and you have already put in the voice cheat code all you do is one whistle and automatically correct password even if its wrong the mudokon will let you pass or pull a lever or give some chant thing. Also works on slig security. And when you play the temples the voice cheat also unlocks bell doors you dont have to find the code to unlock the doors the voice cheat automatically open them when you chant.
I would really pet that Elum
This game and its checkpoints are certainly not forgiving.

I followed this guide, but the lever to activate the scrabania well is not there, what do i do? (There no lever for me at 37:40)
I can tell that this game would have given me nightmares as a kid.

I would suggest using in-game "restart level" option or reloading a previous save if that doesn't help. That slog should be asleep unless you're loud on purpose.

@@v9toodevilish143 Ah, it might've only been introduced in Exoddus. If it's not in the menu where the "Save" is, then I'm misremembering.
There's a couple of options I can think of.
1) Reloading a previous save.
2) Saving to another slot and reloading it, seeing if it helps, as that should put you in the beginning of the room w/o checkpoints.
3) Waiting till the slog falls asleep.
4) Using level select cheat to bypass this issue if you cannot get anything to work.
From GameFAQs for Level Select "hold R1 and press Down, Right, Left, Right, Square, Circle, Square, Triangle, Circle, Square, Right, Left"

at 37:40 the switch is invisible and doesn't work, Is it a glitch?
Try restarting stage if there's no switch. There's no other way forward but to go into either of those two wells.
At 22:49 my game does not have the meat sack. What do I do!?!?
If there's clearly something wrong with your stage, there should be a restart button in the start menu. If that doesn't help, try reloading a previous save, if you have any.
Yes, I've tried playing these stages by using the cheat codes...yeahhhh...I never got far in any of them...

I jumped at the same time as you did on the video but i can't reach the other way
Requires precise timing and jumping during the last moment otherwise you won't reach the other side. You can't avoid the jump either.

Could be interpreted as hints for those that weren't able to save all mudokons or didn't know how to get through some of the challenges.

In the original you have to mimic the sounds.

@@watercat1248 In the original game in the main menu had a screen where you could check how the character speak works. There you could hold a button to speak. Generally, the buttons that are held together to chant are the ones for speaking. Holding each separately and then pressing other action buttons will produce different results.

+JackTheBeast88 Direction+Run and then hold Crouch. R1+Left then hold X to roll. Release Crouch to sprint again.
