    Really great video. Got the tools lined up the night before (even finding the elusive 10mm ;) and took me 30-40 min. Thank you

    You literally skipped the most important parts location and what kind of clip that the sensor has on it and all that other stuff, I mean you are so detailed with everything else why wouldn't you just take to 15 seconds and show somebody where it was because it's something that you can't see visually unless you feel around with your hand and know what you're actually doing like I do. Other than that great video thank you for uploading

    Wow! This is great video! You made it looks easy!
    I have a 2007 RDX SH AWD 2.3L Turbo and having a knock sensor problem (P0325).
    I'll work on it this weekends.
    Thank you👍👍

      it really isn't too bad especially if you have the tools to get in there. It is a bit of an akward spot but arguably STILL easier than some other cars I have tackled.

      Did you end up doing it? I have the same code.

    I just replaced this as shown. Pretty easy with the right tools. That being said the check emission and and lights came back on. I didn't use a diagnostic reader to clear it out of of the computer. Is that why it came back on?

      @piercedasian  Рік тому

      it is possible that because you didn't clear the light that the lamp is still on. Drive to any auto parts place to have it reset or you can disconnect the negative cable on the car for a few minutes and reconnect to see if that clears it. Just make sure you have your radio code handy.

    Dear friend.when you replaced new knock sensor. Is it the emissions light came back again?

    • @piercedasian
      @piercedasian  Рік тому

      Nope. Once it replaced the sensor no more check engine light and the motor runs like a dream.

    I don’t know if you can help me based on just a comment. I got a oil change on 10% 2008 Acura rdx. Today I noticed a lot of white smoke in the back when I go to accelerate after stopping it takes a minute even though the turbo boost is activated at full throttle and barely gets to 20mph-vsa and check engine light has come on but the oil change is the only thing that was done to the car it was fine before

      If it’s been up to temp for a few minutes, and it’s not just condensation in the exhaust, then white smoke would be coolant. If it’s got a blue tint to the smoke, then it’s the oil

    Did your p0325 code also set off the AWD? Great video 👍

      no it didn't. They're not related but sometimes car makers do some wonky things with their interconnected systems.

      @@6ixGuddayes same, both the SH-AWD and the Emissions system light came on. Took it to Acura and they said it’s just knock sensor, so there must be some sort of domino effect with the warning lights when one starts turning on

      @@belmontbandit5048 luckily, both of the lights go away once you replace that knock sensor!

      Like anything with a car, it wasn't designed to run with a CEL code triggered. The car won't blow up on you but you're going to see a decrease in performance and fuel economy. The fix is easy enough and the part is very affordable that there really isn't a reason why you shouldn't get this fixed. The performance and fuel savings alone I think make the fix worth it.
