Geo is not general support, you still have characters like Navia. It's just versatile element. Almost any Geo user can be used as Support or Main dps. Even solo Geo users are strong in attack and defence altogether (which cannot be said about other element users). Just consider that anyone from Geo element is somewhat like Noelle

Actually ecstatic over a Geo universal buffer. Skipping Mualani/Kinich to go for her specifically. Doesn't seem like i'll necessarily need her sig weapon either which is nice to not have to worry about
If her kit stays this way she is going to be the strongest character in the game at C2R1. Farina levels of damage increase with shred and interruption resist and healing and shield from crystallize lmao. Time to start saving I can’t even imagine what the pyro archon is going to be if this is what hoyo is cooking
One thing to clarify in Itto team she DOES provide the res shred but to Geo only. Her samplers start off Geo and in geo teams she becomes a nuker while providing Geo resistance shred, geo dmg bonus AND crit rate with her C2. That’s huge for Itto. Itto, Xilo,Gorou and Mavuika are most likely gonna be his best team.
In itto team with triple geo, she only provides res shred when Xilonen is in her Nightsoul Blessing state. When you switch out from her, you'll lose the res shred. She still needs to max out her Nightsoul Points to provide off field shred, and you cant do that with triple geo sadly. You can go double geo+furina+flex with Itto if you want to run Itto+xilonen together.
@@ninjagold9244 You are right, i just read her kit again and it specifies it'll deplete after 9s, but it doesnt say it depletes when switching. If she max her nightsoul points and activates samplers that way, her shred lasts 15s. But she can still shred geo for 9s this way if im reading correct.
I'd say Neuvillette + Furina + Xilonen + Kazuha is better than using Zhongli in the team. With C1 Neuvillette can just activate Swirl and Cystallize and he will get max buffs. I just don't like playing shields because you can never be too safe with them. If you miss the rotation or forget it then you take dmg and you can't recover. If you're constantly being healed instead you can miss the rotation knowing that the next rotation can heal it back.
I think the mualani burn vape team will become even bettet once pyro archon releases, I could see her having a off-field/on-field stance switch similar to Raiden Shogun or Furina, where she would provide off field damage + pyro application and buffs, and could switch to a burst damage mode for a short duration, or could just have a burst that's the big fireball from the story cut scene, working as a nuke similar to raiden at c0 where it deals respectable damage but nothing too crazy, and gets really good with c2 like the last 3 archons we had. Oh and I also hope the archon will hsve a transformation into a phoenix for her exploration
imo they made Xilonen with Mavuika in mind. Both Mualani and Kinich need pyro application (Mavuika) for them to really shine and i think they will continue this trend with Natlan DPS and thus there will be always at least 2 Samplers active in meta Natlan teams
Xilonen is gonna possibly game changing for some of my teams because this means I no longer need Zhongli in my Navia teams and having that elemental shred is a huge plus for wanting to do higher damage. Even outside that, her buffs last a lot longer and universally is very good for basically any team, makes me wanna try her in a Wriothesley melt comp. Also, idle animations are a 10/10
Couple with that new F2P claymore to boost Navia's skill damage even further. Definitely getting Xilonen. Mualani can be a little clunky at times and I don't need a burning DPS when I like Al Haitham better.
Me: Sees Xilonen is a healer and is perfect for my Itto, Gorou and Furina team as the 4th unit ☺️ Me after seeing she needs two elements other than Geo to heal: 💀 We were on the verge of greatness! We were this close! Screw it. Itto you need to wait for longer for that Geo healer and buffer member to replace Albedo/Chiori. The res shred plus artifact set would is good, but if she could heal then Furina's damage wouldn't suffer. I got my Furina to C2 just for Itto. But a healer for that team would just be better.
@@kibathefang6022 Just replace Gorou with someone else. Gorou's buffs are not even that good and on top of that he does 0 dmg, just compare C6 gorou to someone like C6 Faruzan, its night and day, Gorou is the one who is truly holding back Itto.
I think Xilonen's potential as a main DPS is being underestimated. As a Main DPS, when she triggers her A1 passive (when there is no more than 1 Pyro, Electro, Hydro, or Cyro character on her team) her plunging and normal attacks will do 30% more Damage while in Night Soul State. This should be similar to how the Draconian stacks work for Neuvillette, in that the damage is multiplied after the other damage calculations are done. So [Defense, Damage (Geo or others) %, Critical Damage %] multiplied by 1.3, which is then further reduced or amplified by the enemy's defense and resistance when hit. In addition, her burst will basically triple in damage since it trigger 3 times instead of only once. This basically means that on a typical Mono-Geo team, Xilonen should be doing damage comparable to Itto on his typical Mono-Geo teams. Not top or even high tier, but still very viable for endgame content. I do suspect that Gorou will be one of the featured 4* characters on Xilonen's banner for this reason. I do agree with Anddad that having a plunging attack team with Xianyun gives her the most damage potential (probably being closer to Navia in strength).
Her A1 is just a normal DMG%. If it's the same type as Neuvillette, it'll say "damage is increased by x amount of its original DMG". The important part is the "original DMG". Also, original DMG (or people call it Base DMG Multiplier) buff will always have its value above 100%, for example: - Yoimiya's E = 161.7% Nomal ATK DMG - Wanderer's E = 153.7% Normal ATK DMG - Wriothesley's E = 170.3% Normal ATK DMG - Neuvillette's A1 = 160% Charged ATK DMG - Furina's E = 140% Skill DMG The only outlier is Xingqiu's C4, which states that it only buffs the damage by 50%, but it actually buffs the damage by 150% of its original DMG. This is most likely due to early characters having inconsistent description. For Xilonen specifically, normal DMG% can be better since her C4 and C6 will be increased by it, meanwhile original DMG% won't buff those. Also, Flat DMG such as Yunjin & Xianyun will also be buffed by it.
@AevyCh Thanks for the clarification. That means that Xilonen's damage buff from AI is won't be as high as I expected. I still stand by my original statement about Xilonen's DPS potential. In my opinion, I think Hoyoverse intends for her to be a dual-purpose unit. Either an main DPS or a support. The trade off being that she has no SUB-DPS potential due to a lack of off-field attacks. I would not be surprised if during the beta phase that Hoyoverse nerfs her support abilities (resistance shred and burst healing) and buffs her main DPS abilities (normal attack multipliers in Nightsoul and her burst damage) to make both roles more equally viable. Right now I feel it is tilted a little too much to support.
4:23 Both Hydro & Geo RES Shred should still be active at all time even if there are less than 2 PHEC characters in the party. The only thing you're missing out is the healing.
like you said, she seems to be a really good alternative to kazuha, which would really help me with my teams when it comes to spiral abyss/imaginarium where res shred is valuable buuut im p much just playing casually so, i'll just skip xilonen for now and perhaps get her in a rerunn nahida is rerunning on the 2nd patch of 5.1 who i REALLY need (and is someone who is experimenting with dendro teams atm) so she's the one im going for with my primos atm ^^

Her c2 would be good for Navia, furina, bennet, xilonen team. More crit rate for navia and hp for furina. Plus her healing will get furina buff to max fast.

The new natlan craftable is better than favonius imo. Xilonen already gets 12 energy from her artifact 2 piece (double nightsoul burst) and her burst isn't a large part of her kit. She doesn't attack that often so you would have to run a good amount of crit and if you really need the burst you can just throw on a energy recharge hourglass. Great video though!
Her weapon is only good if you have little to none dmg% buffing in a team. It gives 25% at R1 which isn't bad but you will already have 40% from the new set, then there's stuff like Furina, golden troupe, weapons, passives, lots of other sources. Funny enough, in a vacuum this weapon is a huge buff for Albedo, making him a way better vape / aggrevate buffer. Although Xilonen has taken that spot now he can also do the job
She's gonna be an amazing unit added to the game, still annoys me as an Itto enjoyer he still gets nothing, I was rlly hoping Itto would finally get the extra support he needed considering he has good scaling just not the supports to make his damage comparable to the reactions of others teams

She only lower the resistance of a certain element? That's not bad but it is kinda a bummer for me. I had some people tell me she's actually supposed to ignore 30-35% of defense of the enemies. That made me very hype for her.
She doesn't group, so she's not a geo version of Kazuha. Also, a couple of factors missed in the comparison: - Kaz himself will deal more damage than her, from the looks of it. - Kaz can be an applicator of a PECHs element, due to his burst absorbing it. So, for a freeze team, Kaz can apply cryo and benefit from Shenhe, or in other teams he can help apply pyro or hydro to keep vapes/melts going. But on the flip side, the Jagyaru shares the edge Chevy has... the ability to easily apply the resist debuff to enemies like the Tulpa.
Her advantage is she is a healer so you can bring both Furina and Shenhe. If grouping isnt needed, she'll be better, but for groupable content you cant beat Kazuha(or sometimes Venti)
Not enitely sure what I expected her role to be but support geo is nice. Not sure if my C6 Chiori needs her that much. Might pull her on her eventual rerun simce I'm more interested in getting Mavuika and Iansan.

I use Yaoyao in my Mualani team because sharing characters between teams isn't always possible in certain events. So I want to get used to a third team, which means I can't use my Bennett or Kokomi. I've never used a geo character before and wasn't planning on using a geo character in the future, but Xilonen actually sounds like she'll change this 😊
I'm still confused about her res shred. Is it a constant field that will shred res even if new enemies enter it. And also is it a stationary field or does it follow the on field character?

lets say we have Navia Xilonen and Arla as 3 memeber of a team, who can be the best 4th member? is it good to be a Pyro Member for Pyro resonance? or its better to be another element so we get more stuff out of Xilonen?(im F2P and useing the together my Navia and Arla compilite each other in good way im useing them RN with Bennet and Nigguan for buffs and healing but im sure to get Xilonen instead of Nigg now that Xilonen dose heal as well

A new Itto team that might be able to work with Xilonen is Itto Furina Xilonen and Raiden. Furina and Xilonen cause of the crazy buffs especially with the new Natlan set on Xilonen, Raiden do that second element needed for the healing and Raiden boosting burst dmg for Itto. Either that or Bennet in place of Raiden
Res reduction below 0% is halved. if enemy has 10% res, a 76% res shred will be -33%. effectively 43% res reduction in total. Strong, but if you have other sources of buffs/debuffs, use those to avoid diminishing returns.
@@gamingtemplar9893 perhaps, but the only case I would use Xilonen/Kaz/furina is for HP scalers like Neuv, since they don't have many supports in the first place. Others will prefer xilo/furina/bennet and Cryo wants Xilo/furi/Shenhe. Can even run archaic petra on supports other than Xilo here.

she shreds elements based on her samplers which change based on elements of team members, she has 3 samplers that start as geo, and can turn into pyro/cryo/hydro/electro. So if you want Geo res shred, you need at least 1 more Geo (other than her) /dendro/anemo member to keep at least one of the samplers as Geo. She will shred all the elements her samplers turn into, multiple samplers of the same ele won't stack.

Mauvika will most likely buff atk%, because of the Pyro resonance. I don't think Itto will work out too well with Mauvika.

Neuvillette + Furina + Xilonen + off field Cryo/Pyro/Electro is such a disgustingly strong team. My bet is that Mavuika will be the final piece.
You’re already able to use that team with kazuha as the fourth slot, i heard somewhere that that would be a 20% dmg increase

I do agree with Anddad that having a plunging attack team with Xianyun gives her the most damage potential (probably being closer to Navia in strength).
Her A1 is just a normal DMG%. If it's the same type as Neuvillette, it'll say "damage is increased by x amount of its original DMG". The important part is the "original DMG".
Also, original DMG (or people call it Base DMG Multiplier) buff will always have its value above 100%, for example:
- Yoimiya's E = 161.7% Nomal ATK DMG
- Wanderer's E = 153.7% Normal ATK DMG
- Wriothesley's E = 170.3% Normal ATK DMG
- Neuvillette's A1 = 160% Charged ATK DMG
- Furina's E = 140% Skill DMG
The only outlier is Xingqiu's C4, which states that it only buffs the damage by 50%, but it actually buffs the damage by 150% of its original DMG. This is most likely due to early characters having inconsistent description.
For Xilonen specifically, normal DMG% can be better since her C4 and C6 will be increased by it, meanwhile original DMG% won't buff those. Also, Flat DMG such as Yunjin & Xianyun will also be buffed by it.

I still stand by my original statement about Xilonen's DPS potential. In my opinion, I think Hoyoverse intends for her to be a dual-purpose unit. Either an main DPS or a support. The trade off being that she has no SUB-DPS potential due to a lack of off-field attacks.
I would not be surprised if during the beta phase that Hoyoverse nerfs her support abilities (resistance shred and burst healing) and buffs her main DPS abilities (normal attack multipliers in Nightsoul and her burst damage) to make both roles more equally viable. Right now I feel it is tilted a little too much to support.

We finally get a geo healer, and they exclude the itto, gorou, furina and xilonen team.. A huge letdown
The new natlan craftable is better than favonius imo. Xilonen already gets 12 energy from her artifact 2 piece (double nightsoul burst) and her burst isn't a large part of her kit. She doesn't attack that often so you would have to run a good amount of crit and if you really need the burst you can just throw on a energy recharge hourglass. Great video though!

Her weapon is only good if you have little to none dmg% buffing in a team. It gives 25% at R1 which isn't bad but you will already have 40% from the new set, then there's stuff like Furina, golden troupe, weapons, passives, lots of other sources.
Funny enough, in a vacuum this weapon is a huge buff for Albedo, making him a way better vape / aggrevate buffer. Although Xilonen has taken that spot now he can also do the job

She doesn't group, so she's not a geo version of Kazuha.
Also, a couple of factors missed in the comparison:
- Kaz himself will deal more damage than her, from the looks of it.
- Kaz can be an applicator of a PECHs element, due to his burst absorbing it.
So, for a freeze team, Kaz can apply cryo and benefit from Shenhe, or in other teams he can help apply pyro or hydro to keep vapes/melts going.
But on the flip side, the Jagyaru shares the edge Chevy has... the ability to easily apply the resist debuff to enemies like the Tulpa.
at the same time, Kazuha’s burst only swirls one element and only gets the good res shred with VV, also he doesn’t heal
Her advantage is she is a healer so you can bring both Furina and Shenhe. If grouping isnt needed, she'll be better, but for groupable content you cant beat Kazuha(or sometimes Venti)
Honestly, I pulled kazuha because he sucks, literally. Abyss without him is insufferable.

crit rate for support is only for activating the favonius sword passive consistently. DEF is to increase burst healing

I use Yaoyao in my Mualani team because sharing characters between teams isn't always possible in certain events. So I want to get used to a third team, which means I can't use my Bennett or Kokomi. I've never used a geo character before and wasn't planning on using a geo character in the future, but Xilonen actually sounds like she'll change this 😊

xilonen will not be used with Kinich. Mavuika will likely be good for Kinich, but we do not know anything about her yet
A new Itto team that might be able to work with Xilonen is Itto Furina Xilonen and Raiden. Furina and Xilonen cause of the crazy buffs especially with the new Natlan set on Xilonen, Raiden do that second element needed for the healing and Raiden boosting burst dmg for Itto. Either that or Bennet in place of Raiden

Res reduction below 0% is halved. if enemy has 10% res, a 76% res shred will be -33%. effectively 43% res reduction in total.
Strong, but if you have other sources of buffs/debuffs, use those to avoid diminishing returns.
@@gamingtemplar9893 perhaps, but the only case I would use Xilonen/Kaz/furina is for HP scalers like Neuv, since they don't have many supports in the first place.
Others will prefer xilo/furina/bennet and Cryo wants Xilo/furi/Shenhe. Can even run archaic petra on supports other than Xilo here.
She's probably not going to survive till v5 but is nice to see that hoyo is able to give busted kits to tall women character too 😭🙏

she shreds elements based on her samplers which change based on elements of team members, she has 3 samplers that start as geo, and can turn into pyro/cryo/hydro/electro. So if you want Geo res shred, you need at least 1 more Geo (other than her) /dendro/anemo member to keep at least one of the samplers as Geo.
She will shred all the elements her samplers turn into, multiple samplers of the same ele won't stack.
