Chicago Bear's fan since 1959!!! I think we should somehow trademark the words, "cautiously optimistic!" If my math is correct, I've seen around 60 quarterbacks since I became a fan of the Da Bears. BTW, I have never vacillated or even looked at another team, Bears for life! One more thing, when talking about this team, I hope people use the totality of the history. The Bears are second all time, in championships, with 9. Some people only count Superbowls and discount everything that happened before.
Being a Bears fan for 40+ yrs, any time we can talk about the Bears in a positive light is great to me! It pumps me up! Just take it all in and enjoy the ride. I get the hesitation…believe me, I get it, but I’m not going to have the mindset of ‘when’ is the wheel falling off the wagon. Fortunes gotta change at some point, doesn’t it?! Some fun years ahead!
I'm a die hard Bears fan, used to let downs. I am tempering my expectations. Huge OL concerns. So, we shall see. If Caleb is even close to what people think he will be, I think year 2 will be the year he starts showin' out. Ideally, I want it to be his rookie year but I'm trepidatious. 🤞🏼
I'm excited but always never assured. Sort of reminds me when the cubs rebuilt and then it happened. I'm like "ok i feel pretty confident about this rebuild. Has a vibe I've not seen as a 34 year old bears fan". Just get this Theo vibe with ryan poles. I can go through seasons and seasons of garbage and i know why bc it was always, always that front office. All I can do is sit and watch. And I'm excited to see the confidence come out of that locker room onto the field.
As a Bears fan i’m nervous, not about the offense but the defense. It really is a weak DLine besides Sweat, led the team with 6 sacks in half as many games, and also they lost a couple DT this offseason and didn’t add anymore. Relying on a couple of 2nd year DT’s for big roles…. we’ll see 🐻⬇️
Anytime you have a rookie QB you shouldn't expect too much. Even with a great D you can't expect too much. Especially since it has yet to be proven that you can run the ball.
As a Bears fan of 40 years, I still can’t convince to be excited, been let down so many times. I think it would be a positive if we can split wins against the Cheeseheads!

For F*CKS SAKE.... People are acting like this is the second coming of the KC Chiefs. The Bears O-line got MAULED in the last game they played last year, and really hasn't changed that much. The D-line did better with Sweat, but everyone forgets it was one of the worst in football before they started playing a LOT of really bad teams in the second half of the season. The Bears lines still stink and their coach is by far the WORST in the division. They could easily start 0-4 (AGAIN) and be out of contention in October.
Stink is being dramatic. They have an average o-line and a serviceable d-line. There is no shot they start 0-4. The Titans blow and are on the road to the start the season with a second year QB and a brand new coach. The Texans game will be a battle. Colts have an unproven QB with a bad defense. Rams have a good offense but they just lost one of the best defensive players of all time to retirement. Don’t count them out just yet.
Yeah, we were 21 points up against the 0-3 Broncos at home in the 3rd qtr and look how that turned out! I can see 0-4, but even if we start 7-0 or 6-1 our last 8 are hard 6 inter-divisional, the 49ers and the Seahawks. To even be an improvement we could need to be 8-3 going into them.
