Today we are going to look and see what we can learn from one of the most famous Old Testament people, King David, and what we can learn from him: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I want to make a note of the giants being talked about at around the 13.00 mark, they were nephilim if you didn’t know, 6 fingers 6 toes. Small note but still interesting none the less.

David was being prepared. He knew God was with him, but he knew God would expect him to be prepared if God decided it would take more than 1 stone.

They did a four part series reviewing James White who is a proponent of this. If you watch all four parts they give a pretty clear refutation of this.

The chosen people, like the Jewish people, are promised by God that they will go to heaven regardless of what they do. However, unlike us, when they make mistakes or sin, they face severe consequences. Sometimes we might experience minor repercussions for our sins, but it’s not as intense. For the Jewish people, if they sin or make mistakes, they are commanded to be killed or destroyed. This is why Israel has consistently faced bloody wars.
