Awesome journey on Mumbai locals.. the local trains and all its branches fascinates me more.. Mumbai suburban section is great.. will travel on some day.. till that time ride my Kolkata suburban section ❤❤
I noticed the old OHE arrangement of Mumbai and that old OHE seen upto Tul ghats and Kasara ghats also and also in Howrah outers. They are also beauty by itself. Thank you Binai sir
Nice journey in Amchi Mumbai. Traffic snarl in Vashi road bridge has become a common phenomenon. Earlier there was a two lane old bridge. In 1994-95 (I think) a six lane new bridge was built and traffic on old bridge was discontinued. Now this six lane bridge also cannot handle the traffic. The Atal Sethu sea bridge connecting to Sewri was supposed to reduce the traffic on Vashi bridge. But unfortunately the Atal Sethu is underutilised due to high toll rate.
This video may not have been much interesting to regular viewers but to me it meant a lot since I had spent my precious years in Mumbai regularly commuting in the local trains (older ones built by Jessop ) and hence memories of which were flashed throughout the presentation. Believe me during those days one could hardly get a seat especially due to change over from CR to WR at Dadar. Thank you for this presentation
Missing those old brown locals. It has been many years since I have visited Mumbai. Last time when I have gone to Mumbai, the Shoranur - Mangaluru line & Konkan Railway was not electrified and Netravathi Express was hauled by WDM 3Ds I have travelled in suburban trains in these routes Thane - Airoli, Panvel - Airoli, Thane - Dombivli.
Yes I have noticed the OHE and most of them were DC OHE. Some OHE was changed to AC type. Kurla shunters yellow livery DS-6 on VT in 2000 reminds me YDM-4 as this BG ydm-4. And the DS-4 on WR's Bombay central.
Also for some time WR raj done in push-pull mode for few time and it was discontinued. Do You remember WR run a twin Mued-P-5 Rajdhani from BDTS to NZM. I think it took only 13.5 hours to reach Delhi. But this was was also withdrawn after few months of running which was the fastest Rajdhani. CR needs this to climb the Thull ghat and many otyer gradients on this route.
So 16331 is the ride home. You missed the Uran port line. Could have taken the train from Belapur and on the way back got down at Kharkopar to take the MTHL for a ride to Vadala or CSMT. Anyway next time.

You mentioned that you will be travelling from Chembur in a unique mode of transport. Was it monorail? Waiting eagerly for that video.
Yes, soon
Have you tasted Vada Pav from Rajmata Vada Pav in Ram Maruti Road,Opp. Bank of Baroda, Thane West??
Nope. Kunj vihar was my favorite those days.
