Later on Flyleaf was pretty popular half a decade later, and Straight Line Stitch (you should check out Black Veil), Iwrestledabearonce, and Infected Rain are some notable bands that started about the time Tati got started performing with growls in the band she was in before Jinjer called Prophecy in 2008 before starting with Jinjer in 2009 and officially joining in 2010. There are numerous women in this space that were inspired by especially Morgan, Angela, and Otep (in the latter case Tati, Lena of Infected Rain and I suspect Maria Brink of In This Moment).
Yeah this was for HellFest At Home so yeah no fans, but still a full production show. It was about almost 2 months ago. While it felt a bit weird not having anyone there, it was cool to be able to watch live at home. They're going to be on tour in the states soon if restrictions don't end up messing with that. Considering I am seeing them in November, I really hope their tour can continue as scheduled.
Candice Clot from the Band Eths had the same DNA many years before Jinjer, so did Kitty and Otep. Tatiana pulled some inspiration from Otep she said in an interview
Just browsing through the comments. Another early female fry screamer was and is Sandra Nasic of German band Guano Apes ca. 1998, who Tatiana references as inspiration as well. Personally, I still enjoy going to Guano Apes gigs here.

Yes, it was because of Covid. It was from Hellfest this year. Fans were invited to listen online. The first female I ever heard do a fry scream was Joan Jett. But the first female I personally ever heard do a legitimate growl was Morgan Lander of Kittie. I don't know if she was the first ever to do it though. Some people will say Angela Gossow, but Arch Enemy formed in 95, one year before Kittie, and Angela wasn't with them yet. To be honest though, it was probably someone from Japan. They've always loved that stuff over there.

Tati is not the first female to do cleans and growls. There’s many before her but her growls are so manly I couldn’t tell it was a women having not seen her. However, usually I can tell when it’s a woman growler.

Yes! Morgan Lander and the album "Spit" in 2000 - but they really hit their stride with "Oracle" - heck, they were 14 when they first started. Kittie, from Canada, unfortunately, hasn't made any music since "I Failed You" in 2011 (I've listened to this one the most). There have been rumors that they might come back, but since Trish died, it seems like their future is uncertain at best. Another good one is Otep Shamaya (the band is just called Otep) - her first arrival on the scene was 2002 with Sevas Tra - and she is still making music today! Proceeding chronologically, there's also Alexis Brown from Straight Line Stitch - they've been around since 2003. She has the distinction of being one of the few black female leads for a metal band - her stage presence is amazing, as well as her voice, both the cleans and the growls - check out Remission (from 2007) or Black Veil (2010) - she goes back and forth in both, but Remission highlights her clean vocals more, while Black Veil highlights the range of her growls. Special shout out to Melissa Bonney, from Rage Of Light - a Swiss band (and another black female lead) - they are relatively new - she joined the band in 2015. But her clean vocals are absolutely beautiful, and her growls are as good as Alissa White-Gluz's (see below). Check out their song "I Can, I Will" - really good stuff. Then of course, Angela Gossow has been growling since 1991, although I've never heard her do clean vocals - so she may not be "eligible" for this category - however, she is the absolute queen of the growl - check out any live version of We Will Rise, and then you will know. The lady that took over for her in Arch Enemy is Alissa White-Gluz, who was doing both clean and growls with The Agonist in 2007. Alissa is a quintessential growler - listening to her singing Nemesis (Arch Enemy) must make Angela Gossow proud. So, no, Tatiana is not the first, but she is certainly one of the best.
