    This is also a great way to show the difference between clip and magazine. Those are ammo clips, since their function is to transfer ammo into the weapons maganize, which in turn feed the actual "chamber" so to speak

He’s shared his frustrations with the patent process in a previous video and one can only gain more admiration for his amazing attitude about it.

      @@PeterGriffnger Yes it is great. I have one for a few months now and getting great quality prints. You do need to buy a upgraded motherboard for 32 eur extra to make it very quiet. You will go nuts from the sound it makes with the original motherboard.

    Wow!! I loved it all about this video but the clip system was what impressed me the most. You were able to reload faster that any other clip I have seen so far for the instant Legolas.

    Thingiverse sucks! The project site was blocked without any warning or message.

    it is definitely a luxury item. I am amazed at the reload speed. Jorg's bow is cool of course, but these clips are no worse.

    Hot damn, this is the coolest 3D printed 'weapon' I've ever seen. Even cooler than guns imo. That ammo box + loading system is GENIUS. Though maybe the power of each shot isn't so great, but that's one hell of a good design.

    This thing is big fun. Unfortunately the string wears out pretty fast, shrink tubing doesn't help much. Maybe a short piece of metal tubing will prevent the string from being cut by the trigger hook?

      Needs a lot more power to do any significant damage without strong poison on the bolts, but with that, yes.
      Now if the tech had been availiable to the Incas, Azteks and the Amazonian native tribes using poison dart frogs, the Spanish and Portugese conquistadors would have been fucked as soon as the conquistadors proved agressive and world history after that would have been very different.

      @@SonsOfLorgar Depends on context. Such a small model obviously isn't a battlefield weapon, and against people who don't wear armor this is way enough power. If you have the advantage of surprise, you empty a volley before they can react. If you have the time to reload, and needs to, your target have time to run at you. Hit&run is the best suited for those situations.

    Fantastic work! Would be awesome to see a version that shoots 10mm steel balls instead of arrows (the application range for such thing would be much wider than arrow shooting version)

    but the best thing are the clips
    that ww1 or 2 clip was so smooth
    a compound bow that would shoot bolts like this would be freakin perfect for its power, speed and accuracy

      No. Gravity works. The small spring is only in the latch mechanism.
