It always breaks my heart to see beautiful portraits become homeless in thrift shops and wonder why they didn't remain with their families. That bride was gorgeous!! "Granny" looked like a sweet, lovely lady. I'm so entrenched in searching out my family history, I'd give my eye teeth for found portraits of ancestors that can be identified. I love that there are now old photo detectives, finding how who some of these people are, and getting them returned to their families after all.
My aunt lived in S.phila and growing up spent my summers there loved it When I was in my late 20s I moved there but moved back to S.Jersey to raise my son.
I remember , Quincy Market, in Boston, many vendors, My Italian Grandfather, sold crabs, 5 cents each, children would sit on the curb, and chewy them, then throw the crabs in the gutter! Good times to be a little kid, to go out and do and see want you wanted, even at 7 years old, always love the electric trolly, and the trains, 5 cents a ride! So mice to see the street markets with you, your adventures are fun!😊❤
Thank you for taking us on another Thriftin adventure. I love to see the old Italian market used to go with my family when I was a kid I was creeped out by all the hanging meat, but I loved going to termini bakery for cannoli.
For about 2 blinks, you had me wondering why you picked up that green bottle in the opening, no way was that jadeite!---Uff da, traffic, parking, market day must be a madhouse & those folks who shop there must know the secret. I don't like worshiping with the masses so would avoid it like the plague!---I like any kind of cabbage except sauerkraut!---Thanx for the great music to close out the day!
That was a great thrift store.some great stuff....that Ovaltine coco cup from the Thirties might have been a good buy......the little Blue Crackle Glass syrup pourer was a nice piece...... some very beautiful pieces......it went well with the music.....Thank you for the education....
Hi Scott what a great upload love the tour of the streets of Philly and 😋those cheesesteaks these thrifts store Had some cool treasures always injoy watching take care
Interesting street footage. The stop signs mounted up high at street corners because of sidewalk awnings were new to me. Love the music in these videos❤️
Great video review, Scott ! You've pulled it off yet again. Great selection of Music, too. What an added Bonus for us all. Loved that small General Electric Radio. Great item. Once again, thank you 👏👌👍😉
Wish I could here the music but followed along with captions. Thanks for the tour of the market. I really enjoyed it and can just see it bustling in my imagination. ❤️🇨🇦
I feel like I have just had a mini holiday in Philadelphia without leaving my couch. That was so enjoyable (and I saved a lot of money not travelling there myself!) All those old photographs- you wonder about their lives; hopefully happy ones.
My aunt had one of the vita masters. I don’t know if they were effective or not, but they sure were fun to play with when we were kids! I love the decanter set you purchased, and it was fun to hear some of the old music too. Hope you can find your table.
What a fun video! The music, the Philly tour, thrifting! It could only be better if we could have gotten a cheese steak! I remember going to an exercise class in 1968 😮 and we used those silly exercise machines! Didn’t do anything except shake your innards around! 😂
Wow! A field trip and a thrift!! That eapg child's punch set was beautiful. Hopefully Vinny didn't see you pass up that blue ship glass that matches his set😏! Great video!
SCOTT... I HAVE SOO MISSED SEEING YOUR "RAINY DAY" SHOP-ALONG VIDEOS! Thank you so very much!!!!! And please remember, your private shopping invitation is alive and well at our Rising Sun Warehouse!!! Can't wait to provide our utmost hospitality!
I love to hear you talk. You are so knowledgeable. I learn so much when you talk about what you are looking at. Thank you for all the hard work. Skip the music.
It was lovely watching you drive through the streets in the rain. We've been on an extreme weather alert here in South Australia, due to the high risk of bushfires. Just over 3 years ago we went through one of the most devastating bushfires and we were right in the middle of it. That fear never leaves you. But today it's cooled right down and is also raining and everyone is breathing a big sigh of relief. As I said it was good to be able to watch you and be relaxed. Thank you 😊 xx
Seeing those old photographs brings up so many sad thoughts because these were/are someones family/relatives and instead of being cherished and passed down to present generations they've ended up in a thrift store...
Love your Curiosity Shop Videos and your extensive knowledge and commentary. On top of all that, I love the background music you added to this particular edition...my kind of music...whose recording is that?
Oh gosh I learned so much in this vlog again thank you so much. I really appreciate the tours of Philly and other places as I have not been over for a while 🎉. I liked the “picture of health “ print.
The last time I used the family "burn barrel" was 1966, the day I graduated from High School, 4 yrs of saved papers, and school books, I burned the lot! 4 yrs felt like 20yrs, never told my children what I did. LOL😊 never missed a day of school, but was bored out of my mind.
When you were talking about parking and walking a few blocks I thought, well that's great unless he finds alot of stuff and then he'll have to lug it up the block. That bread box my Mom had in the kitchen my whole growing up years.
Wonderful shop along. Interesting ending with the Sexology books. 😂🤣 I love a rainy day. The street market looks like a fun time and I so love the architecture there in the city,
Wow the Philly Thrift looks likes it’s gone up on its prices. But let oks like you found some deals eventually… the thrill of the hunt goes on ! Thanks for taking us along.
That was very entertaining. Loved the ring set of glasses. The Pepsie lamp needs to be in someone's hunting cabin, unless you collect that product line. Nice to see another city. Love your light musical style in the end!!!!! Makes me want to 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺 💃 🩰 🕺
Am l winning again? I just hope so. My happiness is very important to me and l do want to help people. But l can't do it here, it is hard times for many people. I just wish things would change to a better place to live. Thank you for highlighting my humble comment. 💘💝🧡❤💋🌸💗💞💌❣🌹💔💕💟💖😻💛💘💝🧡❤💋🌸💗💞💌❣🌹💔💕💟💖😻💛💘💝🧡❤💋🌸💗💞💌❣🌹💔💕💖💖😻💛💘💝🧡❤🌸💗💞💌❣🌹💔💕💟💖😻💛💘💝🧡❤🌸💗💞
You haven’t played the Machine/Gasoline song in a while, it’s fun whatever they are saying. I always smile when you say “water” even if it’s in a street name “Fitzwudder” 😊
Fantes selling cookware since 1906. You made me look it up. Loved going there as a teenager. They opened a store in the Springfield mall which is long gone 🥣🍽️🥄🍴
I LOVE the downtown area. That is the kind of places I live to go Christmas Shopping.. ok, any shopping but, walking along, window shopping, popping in little shops, what nostalgia! Scott, are those apartments above the shops and stores? Thanks for sharing.
Oh no!! Don't tell me it's already over!😢 I was enjoying it soooooo.... Thank you so much for taking us on the ride along. I could have kept watching but it was over too quickly! Thank you for braving the inclement weather to show everyone your thrift day. I would have loved to join you. You always choose nice places to go, both scenic rides and thrift stores. I really liked that kitchen table. Are you looking for an enamel top? Is that why you passed it up? I know you want green, but the lower portion could be painted the green. You just cant make the top enamel if that's what you were looking for.
My relatives are from philly..from the 30s to the 60s..my dad grew up in bartram village..show them the Kensington park and street..aka zombieland..sad..
Cha Cha Cha
FOOL'S RUSH IN
I like the queen Anne chair 💺
Aloha 🌺🥰
Great music selection
Looks like Kensington Market in Toronto, very old cool market here.
The best tour guide ever!

That music at the end sounds like Scottish country dancing music. We had to dance to this type of music in school.Any one for an eight some reel😂😂😂😍
That video was just wonderful, thank you so much!
Love the take us with always 😊
The market streets were fascinating and the history of it all enjoyed it very much thanks.😀👍
Philadelphia has such a different look from my area of the country. We just aren't as old and everything is spread out.
Great video Scotty! Thanks for sharing!
The Schnizelbank Ford Machine song! Love it, my Dad and Opa used to sing this song. Brought back some lovely memories thanks Scott.
Scott, I can picture you all dapper in one of those photos. Was hoping you found one that looked like you!
Reminds me of India shops, small streets. Love it
Thank you for taking us on another Thriftin adventure. I love to see the old Italian market used to go with my family when I was a kid I was creeped out by all the hanging meat, but I loved going to termini bakery for cannoli.
Ohhhhhh, I’ve been vegetarian for 30+years but that is 1 thing I miss, a good Rueben 😋
Thanks so much for the market area tour! I’ve never been to Philly, but now I’m thinking… Might be worth a trip!
That was a fun trip. I'm glad you found the ring set. Lucky lucky.🤗

I’ve never been to Philly, so thank you for the driving tour. By the way, you’re a good dancer! 😊
I liked the music, not my cat so much. She doesn't like all that noise she says! Thanks for the tour of Philly and all the cool shopping! 😻💗
Great video review, Scott ! You've pulled it off yet again. Great selection of Music, too. What an added Bonus for us all. Loved that small General Electric Radio. Great item. Once again, thank you 👏👌👍😉

All those old photographs- you wonder about their lives; hopefully happy ones.
you should have bought those 1953 sexology magazines...the video of you showing and telling would have been amazing.
This video is the cat's meow! BTW, the second cabinet card you pulled up looked like Vinny. At least I think it does...😄
My aunt had one of the vita masters. I don’t know if they were effective or not, but they sure were fun to play with when we were kids! I love the decanter set you purchased, and it was fun to hear some of the old music too. Hope you can find your table.

Yes on the Reuben! Thank you for taking us along. Love the music. Love seeing the Philadelphia street views. Much different than the west coast.
Ever shop at Jinxed?
Love your Curiosity Shop Videos and your extensive knowledge and commentary. On top of all that, I love the background music you added to this particular edition...my kind of music...whose recording is that?
Which particular song?
Oh gosh I learned so much in this vlog again thank you so much. I really appreciate the tours of Philly and other places as I have not been over for a while 🎉. I liked the “picture of health “ print.
I liked the Little Orphan Annie mug, but way too expensive.
I remember the trash can fire and singing quartet from the Rocky movie. We just have to visit Philly! Thanks for the tour Scott❣️
Made a grape crush pop can lamp in shop in 9th grade. 1975 was the first yr our school let girls take shop. Still have it too.
Thank you.
Loved the music but weren’t the prices high?
They still do the trashcan fires! 🔥

Thanks for the trip and the thrift!
Oooh, always a fan of Edwardian 'stache, would have definitely picked up one of those daguerreotypes.

Hi from Wisconsin That was fun!! TFS. 😎✌
Hello Scott, thanks for the tour, I haven't been to the 9th. St. Market in ages...loved the music 🎵🎶💕
Your 9th Street Market reminds me of the old Haymarket section in Boston.
That General Electric radio looked nice. You should have bought it and sold it to me!
Near Geno's, you drove past The King Of Canolli and it made my mouth water, even though I had just finished a piece of buttermilk pie!
You need to add excellent tour guide to your list of many talents!
I haven't been to those thrift shops in a long time. I need to go.
Can't wait to go back there.
Oh no!! Don't tell me it's already over!😢 I was enjoying it soooooo.... Thank you so much for taking us on the ride along. I could have kept watching but it was over too quickly! That was so enjoyable! I wanted so many things in that thrift store 😊
The good ole’ Pat’s versus Geno’s debate.
I was hoping you were taking us to Shin's Karate. Maybe next time.
Scott, great ride/shop along video! Right @ the end, I saw horse head bookends. Did you buy those? 🐴🐴
25:21 😂😂😂
Where does a store like this find their inventory? Estate sales?
XOXO
