This is Leftover Coffee Expression 01 - BASIC GOODNESS. Watch it here and on @youtube linked in my bio. This little video series is an attempt to capture the amusement, bliss, thrill, and rawness that makes up a ski season. Leftover Coffee 01 is an expression of the basic goodness that is skiing, and celebrating the simplicity of that.
This episode is from the first few days of this season in the backcountry where we spent a few days working to get our ski legs under us again. We explored Marble and Ashcroft outside of my new home in Carbondale. I spent a lot of time in these mountains running on the trails this summer. I saw these mountains that were once vaguely familiar now covered in snow. It made this environment completely unrecognizable. The unknown landscape and curiosity surrounding how this project was going to come together was nerve-wracking and invigorating, it still is.
I am forever thankful and so extremely lucky to be chasing these elusive ski dreams in the mountains. Not only do I have my health to physically ski, I have the ability and support to create something artistic, and share it.
