    GREAT review. I have the Zeus with 120 clouds. I do really like the cloud wheels. I have the 105 clouds on my Backfire G3, and I like them too. I am contemplating a set of the 115 rubber wheels. Your vid helped me make my decision. Going to order them. Keep up the good work.

    Great Video and production man. What are your thoughts on the Direct Drives vs the Belt drives?

    • @itsmatt3627
      @itsmatt3627  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for your feedback, really appreciate! Depends on you want to do. If you want to make some off road sessions, I'll recommend to go for the belt as you'll be able to put AT wheels on it. AT aren't compatible with the DD, so this is something to keep in mind.
      In term of range, both boards have the same. You'll have a better acceleration with the belt drive as you can adjust the gear ratio.
      Direct Drive is completely silent and there isn't a lot of maintenance to do on it. At the end some prefer the belt others the DD, it's just kinda personal. If you don't plan to ride offroad, mainly on flat city roads and you like being stealthy, go for the DD you'll have enough power don't worry ;)

    What about mixing-n-matching? Since I'm going with an e-skate having hub motors (I've narrowed it down to the Backfire G2 Black & WowGo S2 Pro), the rear on both can only accept donuts (ie. 105/120mm CloudWheels on G2 Black, and 120mm CloudWheels & WowGo's own 105mm)...but, both accept standard-mount wheels up front. I was thinking the 105mm or 120mm in the rear, with the 115mm rubber (or something similar) up front. Would that work?

  • @MentalEdge
    @MentalEdge 3 роки тому +4

    Is worth noting that while the noise of the wheels isn't audible to the rider, it is to those you ride with, or past.
    Also, with my 120 clouds, people comment that my board sounds "amazing" and "futuristic". I've noted that it's because the tread on them produces a bass note that at certain speeds harmonizes with the motor whine, as well as between each wheel. This causes a really weird sound to be produced by the board when on smooth enough pavement, that shifts with acceleration and deceleration. I don't really hear it while riding, or on rough surfaces where the note is drowned out by the unevenness. I am able to hear it sometimes, riding at lower speeds where the wind isn't rustling in my ears and on a surface that are super smooth to isolate the bass note from the wheels more.
    I imagine there is a similar effect with the 105s.

    Do those rubber wheels fit on a regular longboard? Do you think it will be too hard to push?

    • @itsmatt3627
      @itsmatt3627  2 роки тому

      They do fit on any longboard yes, but depending on the shape of your longboard just be careful of the wheelbites.. They're heavy, so for an electric skateboard that's not a problem, but when it's your legs pushing the board, that will definitely make an impact..

      @@itsmatt3627 Well I haven’t tried changing the wheels yet, but I did make sure that the remote was set to 115mm when I first got it. I guess the speedometer could be inaccurate even still, but that’s probably not likely. I just recently weighed myself, and I actually weigh less than I thought at 68kg or 150lbs. So I just don’t understand why I can’t reach at least 30mph. I honestly doubt Onsra would do anything if I reached out to them about this, cause it’s just not a very clear problem. I however did notice that when I hit the throttle with the wheels off the ground, one of the wheels vibrates and makes a weird sound. I wonder if that could have anything to do with it. It did that before I ever took it out for a ride.
