As a biker I appreciate the passion these boys and girls have for their machines...il ride and enjoy anything on two wheels..scooters are a lifestyle choice..they look good, practical and comfortable...and cost very little to run, what's not to like..
Got myself one, running it in now, just passed 100 miles. Suspension makes every lump in the road feel like a boulder but I'll get that adjusted. Really enjoying getting used to it, great fun as I enjoy my 50 year old, bald bloke mid life crisis. 🤗
nice vid i was a rider back in the 80s i had Lambretta's and Vespa's but they always broke down mainly over heating even my tsi was a pain i past my test and got on 600cc to 1300cc bikes and what a blast but now i find my self waiting for an operation and can not get on a bike so got a royal alloy gt125 new,,i did want the 300 but you have to sell a kidney there so expensive the 125 for me i bought so i could go out on rides with the wife has she has a nico one 125 i can pull the royal alloy on no storage fuel gauge is pointless never reads correct and every bump you go over you feel the suspension or shocks are crap i do like the colour though ORANGE
So your headlight bulb at 85 watts is brighter? I just did a quick calculation and at 12 volts the additional current draw on your alternator is approximately just over 4 amps. I did something similar to you with my Vision 110 but I went for an LED bulb made by Philips that draws less current than standard bulb and gives much more light. Does the new bulb look a yellowish colour or is it really nice and bright and does it dim on tickover? I’d be interested to know how the electrical system holds up in the long term.
to be honest I'm changing it out as it takes 30 secs to come on now so changing it before it does any damage it used to be on in 15 secs so I don't think it likes it really bright though
stevi dub dub I would be careful what you buy then. I went for the Philips Luxeon ZES chip which draws 25 watts and appears around twice the light output of a standard 35watt bulb. That would take the weight off your stator a little too. It comes with a resistor box that fits inline with the bulb and you would need somewhere to hide that down route. Maybe under the horncast might work.
I’m hoping Royal Alloy succeeds long term as we could do with a genuine replacement for the Vespa PX now it’s gone. Is the body all metal and is there a subframe? I’m wondering if the body is structural.
it's really well made has plastic tub and side panels so is light and rust free has a metal tube frame chassis . The GP has more metal ie tub etc but I think the GT is better looking
you know Roy I never bothered with the rear clutch bell I left it alone / I built a aerox big bore kitted ped for my son a few years back wasn't convinced adjustable clutches etc gave it any gains tasso are doing remaps for the RA limitless and the works . I will be reviewing the work very soon so worth a watch
Enjoyed your.video wanted to put some bar end mirrors on my GP 200 as the standard ones are useless but there is a retaining bolt or something in the bars how did you get them out drill them any advice Cheers👍
Thanks mate any idea about removing the royal alloy badge in the headlight looks like it’s take the chrome surround off but unlike a lambretta no screws looks like retaining clips love the scooter put a Tasso exhaust on sounds great 👍
Do you know if i will be able to fit That tasso exhaust to Lambretta v125 special? I found That some other exhausts for RA Could be fitted in to...thanks
Hi sorry cant answer that but I know the lambretta is based on the Sym 125 . unlike 2 strokes it's not as crucial with 4 strokes to match the exhaust exactly. contact Adam at TASSO in Edinburgh google TASSO I'm sure he will offer more advice or may have even developed a new exhaust for The Lammy . thanks for your question .
Hi yes they can Adam has been developing these for over 5 years since RA Launch and has developed multiple upgrades for them . He is on Facebook Adam Tassoman . Thanks Steve.
yeah easy only tricky bit is utilising what you've got to fasten the rear of the exhaust to the frame . I ended up with bits leftover lol . enjoy they look great
Spending lots to improve performance on these strangled 125s for not much gain. And longevity will probably suffer on engine. I have bog standard insetto scoot with same engine you have made by lonjia. Wonderfully smooth ride but she aint quick top end with a real speed of 57mph with little o me up on flat in perfect conditions! Will stay with pcx till 40mph then she gasps.
you will see near on 70mph with my setup polinni race variator 8.7g weights Tasso works remap Tasso exhaust mr2c pod filter . and will pull 60 plus anywhere
*'Tiny mirrors'...that makes sense* *That way you won't even see the truck behind you before you're run-down, and won't have time to panic and soil your pants before impact* *I can't 'Comment' on anything else...because I barely understand one word in five*
Where's the ecu remap? I've saw you had it on fb. I'm waiting on it. It's between gts or the django, it's just the fact I've seen a few where 60 standard doesn't seem possible.

Do it, great fun and they sip petrol.
Im deffo getting a gt. Looks sound !
Thanks for that mate. I'll just ride it gently until 1st service then. Cheers..
This exhaust looks much better and if it would follow the panel line more would be perfect.
Needs to allow for the suspension going up and down 👍

Nice one dub dub :)

the Gp has a lot of metal side panels all the weather sgmhielding part from tool box that's plastic
stevi dub dub so is there an actual frame running under those panels or is the body of monocoque construction like the PX was?
How about GTS, primavera or sprint? Steel body and Italian
it's really well made has plastic tub and side panels so is light and rust free has a metal tube frame chassis .

@@scootyman2974 yeah has a tubular framework
just wondered the colour of the clutch springs x 3...and the large clutch spring....Thanks

Hi mark if i remember i think there is a allen bolt holding the stop ends in .
its a easy ish job and worth the effort
Thanks mate any idea about removing the royal alloy badge in the headlight looks like it’s take the chrome surround off but unlike a lambretta no screws looks like retaining clips love the scooter put a Tasso exhaust on sounds great 👍
Thats the easy part all badges can be heated up with the airdrier and just peeled off
Cheers Stei will have a doo this weekend

Race or road version?
Just got one, any guide on how to fit ?
pretty straightforward just unbolt the old one n work out where the rear bracket fits if I remember you might be left with some spare original parts
What Tasso exhaust will suit scomadi TT200?
adam Tassoman as far as I know does a remap for the TT200 and a sports exhaust .
search Tassoman scooter parts and message him hope this helps
Can the Tasso be fitted to gt 125 2022 model air cooled without any other modifications

Thanks Steve.
@@stevidubdub8291 Hi Stevie.. Im looking to purchase a TG 125 AC euro 5.. have you had any problems with your GT?
does the lambada sensor go in that exhaust Steve
yes it does it has a threaded hole
Is this the loudest exhaust they do for the Royal alloy?
I honestly dont know but can take the baffle out of the tasso
@@stevidubdub8291 cool will it lose power doing that?
dunno on power never tried it but bet its loud

Do you still have the RA and how is it holding up after a couple of years ?
Hi no I sold it I now have a lambretta Gp200 but the grey one on some of the vids is still going strong no issues very reliable .

agree mirrors tiny but you cant see a thing apart from your shoulders with the standards that's why you got to be extra observant on a two wheeler
These scoots look great but they’re gutless I’ll only consider making the jump from my RB 22 when and if there’s a 400cc version.
adam tassoman at Tasso Edinburgh does tunning kits for the RA 300 that should go well
