Aerosmith are an integral part of the history of rock!!!! They’ve been around since the ‘70’s and have rocked us out ever since. Steven Tyler is one of a kind!
Dream on will get many requests, Brad and Lex reacted to that during this Aerosmith Live stream. A couple of other older songs I'll recommend are Sweet Emotion and Back in the saddle.
Aerosmith is a lot like AC/DC in the fact that they have two distinct periods. AC/DC changed singers, but Aerosmith had their drug phase and clean phase, and they are different. The newer Aerosmith is really good, but old school is where it's at.
I was in a bar (I have WAY too many stories that start that way) and Love In An Elevator came on and I overheard a woman say "Aerosmith? I didn't know they were still aroumd?" The girl with her replies "Mom, it's a new band, this is their first album." The mom then educated her, and probably got way cooler in her daughters eyes.
@@edsq11 I don't know what you're smoking but to say AC/DC is bs is absolute bs. AC/DC is the absolute best of the best (imo)! Not to say that Aerosmith sucks, far from it. They can rock with the best of them. My problem is with people (like you) who state their opinion as if it's fact!
Now check out "Amazing" and "Cryin" by Aerosmith. "Crazy" is the 3rd music video in the music video trilogy by Aerosmith. I was 16 and 17 years old then and I absolutely loved these songs and still do. They were released in 93' and 94'. You should have watched the video instead. The singer's daughter is in the video. She's also in the video "I don't want to miss a thing". I could mention so many more by Aerosmith to listen to. But I'll hold back lol.
This was a good era for Aerosmith. I always liked this, "Living on the Edge", "Ragdoll", and frankly any of the ones that had Alicia Silverstone or his daughter in the videos... I mean, I WAS a teenage boy at the time!
Yo, Aerosmith is my all time favorite band! They have so many good songs. You guys should check out, Dream On, Cryin', and Walk this Way with Run DMC as well!
Watch Steven Tyler & Joe Perry from Aerosmith perform Mama Kin & Train Kept a Rolling with Guns N Roses Live in Paris 1992. Two of the greatest frontmen & two lead guitarists on stage together. Absolutely epic.
Love watching you guys react to music, and discover as artists, genres, bands, and sounds. Dude focuses hard on and gets lost in the music...she appreciates the music as well, but really analytically takes in the lyrics....during and after some of the songs they have reacted to I have been surprised to hear her take on the story, songs I've heard a hundred times and her understanding of the same song and it's story pleasantly suprises me by showing a perspective or point of view that I never considered. You guys go together, bookends, and in these videos, it works so well. You guys keep it up, please...awesome!
Love me some Aerosmith... They have been around forever and have always had their own style up front. These are easy on your ears music, nothing too complex, just enjoy the tunes. "Janie's got a gun" or "Blind man" would be nice to hear.
Great reaction! You all should definitely check out “What It Takes”, “Angel”, “Sweet Emotion”, “Back in The Saddle”, “Mama Kin” and “Train Kept a Rollin” by Aerosmith. 👍🏻
Life is funny... This is one of those bands that I haven't listened to in decades, but get so excited for you two to experience! This is a Bluesy Rock Ballad. Rock Ballads were huge in the 80s, which helped bring the ladies to the shows 😁 "Sweet Emotion" and "Dream On" are songs you need to react to, even if you discover you've heard them in the past 🤘🤘 Also, watch the movies "Dazed and Confused" (last day of High School 1976) and "Rock Star" (Marky Mark is an 80s Hair Metal lead singer and the movie is Totally... Freakin'... Awesome!!!).
Love me some Aerosmith. The dark haired girl in the video is his daughter, with Alicia Silverstone. The 80s and 90s imo were top game Aerosmith. They play harder stuff but alot does have a blues overtones
Aw, I loved yall reaction. I love this song, I love Aerosmith ♡ one of my favorites is eat the rich and living on the edge from Aerosmith. But they have a lot of amazing songs
I still feel driving around in my '71 Toyota Corolla listening to Aerosmith Toys In the Attic on 8-track. Too old to actually remember it, but I can still feel it.
The Toxic Twins, the nickname Steve Tyler and Joe Perry earned back in the 70's for their drug habits. During one concert performance, Steve Tyler drug intake was so high he flaked out and had to be carried off stage. 'Going down in an elevator' is a spicy one to check out, or for a darker Aerosmith, Janey's Got A Gun. Great reaction and breakdown of the song from you both 👍👏👏👏
Armerosmith is rock but heavily influenced by blues and probably jazz too. The lead singers father was a classically trained musician and I’ve heard Steven Tyler talk about how growing up he used to sit under his dad’s piano while his dad played. You don’t see Steven play often but I think he plays several instruments but his most seen instrument (besides his voice) is the harmonica. A lot of people will say the music from the 80’s and later are not as good but I like every decade of their music. It’s different but what people fail to realize is that musicians grow and consequently the music changes a little. Plus Steven talks about how he used to change his vocals when they first started because he wanted to sound like a blues singer.
Aerosmith been around a long time...my favorite band when in high school. Songs like "Train Kept a Comin" were constantly on the system in my 76 Triumph Spitfire. Oh yeah. Tiny car with 4 Jensen Tri-axials, each with its own amp. Good times.
“Feels more like…jazz?…no, blues” Rock evolved out of R&B and still carries strong echos of it. You may have noticed some of similarity when you reacted to freebird. Another group that I don’t hear reacted to but who carries strong R&B vibes is the Kenny Wayne Sheppard Band. Their song Blue On Black is a great play…love the sound of the steel guitar.
The first rock band I got into. This lead to The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen, Beatles, etc. They will always have a special place in my heart as the first rock band to make me fall for rock music!
Great band, but they lost me after the Draw the Line album, when they became much more pop/commercial. Try "Sweet Emotion," which might be their most popular early hard rock song. Pretty sure your sub base would love to hear you do the earlier, rawer tunes. "Last Child," "Seasons of Wither" or the ubiquitous "Walk This Way," are good examples. Dream On, is of course their biggest hit ever, and was on their first LP, as well. Cheers
Im not the biggest Aerosmith fan but they got some good songs... *I dont wanna miss a thing* is a pretty good one too. I see you haven't done that one yet. Unless you guys already heard it. Its a Pretty popular song if not the most popular and was in the movie Armageddon... Great movie btw...
The Power Ballad , Aerosmith became experts in delivering the 80's Power Ballad. But they are a great Rock band with some real gems in their past, Big 10 inch Record, Rag Doll, Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Bsck in The saddle
Living On The Edge was a really good one from Aerosmith too, also quite a bit of popculture in it with Alicia Silverstone and Edward Furlong when he was younger and just starring in Terminator etc appearing in their video. But the song itself is also really well done with great harmonics.
Not only is Lex beautiful and has such a beautiful spirit she is so intelligent and INSIGHTFUL! She always sees the deep meanings of these songs and it’s so easy for her. She is an old soul and very wise. Brad has a great smile and should use it more! :)I love when he lets his guard down… ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼☮️☮️☮️
Aerosmith is amazing....really versatile. They have lovely ballads like this one and "Crying", rock anthems like "Dream On", and really fun pop-rock like "Pink". There are SO many great ones! Some of my favorites are "Janie's Got a Gun", "Angel", and "What it Takes".
Aerosmith are legends. My first CD I bought in '98 (13) was the "Nine Lives" album, I should not of probably had. The Album art was far more mature than I was. "Pink" was their single that got a lot of attention from the album, but the album itself was a story of love and loss and I want to say realization, but it was half a lifetime ago.

They are definitely a blues inspired rock band. You can hear the blues influence in almost all of their songs.
They have an album which is all blues covers, from the artists who influenced them called Honkin' On Bobo.
