What an insanely talenred and fascinating person Glenn Carter is! Utterly captivating as Jesus and plays the role with such tenderness. I think both he and Steve Balsamo are two sides of the same coin when it comes to that portrayal.
I love this episode. Now I know some things about Glenn Carter. Glenn is my favourite West End actor of all time because I love his vocal range and the way he acts very well in any character that he plays in any show.
Unfortunately the decision was made on the day and we were already on the way. Producers fault as he shouldn’t have made that decision on the day. If Someone is ill then of course the understudy should go on but Glenn was not unable to do the show.
I disagree with this young man when he says it doesn’t matter who you see, they are all trained actors. When you travel 2 hours to see someone in a show, to then get there and find out it’s the understudy and not the person you were hoping to see, it’s heartbreaking and extremely disappointing. Thank you for bringing us this interview, Glenn certainly had a lot to say 😆
Glenn was amazing! And yes I understand your opinion, but the performer covering the role that night will be just as good, and we should support them, no matter how disappointed we may be! Sending good vibes!
@@robbiesbackstagebants We travelled 2 hours to see Glenn in JCS. When we bought the tickets before travelling, it was Glenn who we were expecting to see. When we got there we were told that the matinee that we’d book for Jesus would be played by the understudy. Now if it was a fact that Glenn was ill then of course we would have been disappointed but still gone to see it. On this occasion there was nothing wrong with Glenn they just decided to let the understudy perform for experience. We had to change our tickets from the matinee to the evening performance. When you’re paying to see a Pacific actor and there is no reason why they can’t perform then it is extremely annoying.
@@karencartmill8793 Yes I do understand this ❤️ I’m glad you got to see him in the end! Glenn is a fantastic performer!! If you’re booking to see someone specific you could try emailing the company before hand to see if there is any scheduled days off! But I do understand you must have been disappointed, but it has to happen sometimes, enjoy your day! 🌟
Very interesting Talk Shakespeare is full of love, Shakespeare is full of emotions We all have a long journey and way Our live is in constant motion Life is an ongoing development And especially for artists, it is a long and hard way, often associated with a lot of negative feedback I had to learn a lot, horsemanship, horse riding, historical material arts, improvise, voice training, physical training, acting of course, but also sword fighting, fencing, choreography and dancing You don't learn all of this overnight, it's a long and hard process But it's really worth it, for me personally it was worth it, I like to do it For me it was the right way, because I go each of my ways for myself And the experiences that I take away with me, I make for myself
Other interviewers should learn from this guy. He lets his guest to actually speak o.O As for Glenn, I'd like to confess, I've had his picture as my phone wallpaper back in collage. That's how I loved him in JCS.
@@andreajutasi5173 Thank You 💛 It really means a lot, I only was able to chat with Glenn for a couple of minutes before the recording, as I didn’t want to waste much of his time, so it hopefully gets better as the episode goes on!
