Thats very mature of him to realize that if he took her to spain, itd be a big change and that hed have to take care of everything. It is hard. Its easier to take the person who can adapt more to ones country. In this case, hes better at adapting, so he went to korea. Lots of couples take their wife to their country and just complain when they realize theyre helpless and need help.
Everyone can adapt unless they have a learning disability. Also the one that usually wants the green card (so to speak) chooses to date foreigners just to country hop. Which is why it may be better for men to date within their country, sense it's usually the women that refuse to adapt.
@@patricew.4010 not everybody can adapt, it depends on the person. And why would he wants the green flag that hard if he has Spain jeje
I don't think it's so simple. Whether someone is able to adapt or not depends on many factors and even though everyone is potentially capable of doing it, circumstances and cultural aspects play a big role when it comes to it, especially if you are the one who makes the decision to adapt to someone else's country. I am also Spanish and I have no problem with the smell of Korean food, I love the smell of kimchi, but I have friends from S. Korea that can't deal with the smell of Spanish food because we use different seasonings and lots of garlic. My family uses lots of strong flavored ingredients so I got used to it since I was little, therefore I do not struggle with new smells and food, my circumstances are different.
Anyways, this is just my opinion. I'm glad you guys shared yours.
Have a nice day! ❤
This is mental illness they are not sensitive to smell I know it because I am this.person I dont like saunds and.smells and this is not normal
@@nahiara8016 Disagree. Everyone is *capable* of adapting. It is a human trait to be able to adapt to your environment or quite frankly you'll get eliminated from the gene pool lmao. The reality is those people do not *want* to adapt, which is an entirely different thing.
I think it's lovely that they are able to work together and enjoy life and are appreciated by the people who visit the campsite.
What do they do for work? Do they run a hotel?
some people are more sensitive to certain smells than others including food, incense, candles, perfumes, laundry detergents, skincare products, etc. people living together can be a balance of common courtesy, compromise, respect, etc.
@Trinity M well he adjusting himself with setting an incense to cover the kimchi's smell. and her wife might also tolerate it in the end. they can choose to eat in separate room yet they choose to eat on the same table, that means they still wanna eat together even tho the solution is a bit unsual. after all he's the one thats work harder to adapt and live in a foreign country, not all things will clicks for him. don't drag this too deep tho
@Trinity M what the fuck can you do? people aren't tolerable to certain things, its just the way they are. he just appears to not like kimichi, people can dislike things and you have to respect that.
@@trinitym5552 It's normal to not like certain foods. He wasn't trying to call her food stinky, clearly he doesn't speak complete English. It's normal for when English isn't your first language to use the word "stinky" instead of "strong". Kimchi does have a strong, "I don't even know how to describe it" kind of smell.
It's not a big deal, because his wife is fine with it. You're trying to make it a big deal and even bringing up people's nationality when at the end of the day, how you just called European's cheese stinky it's the same for other people no matter their race/ethnicity/nationality. It's normal for people to dislike foods especially when they've tried it, I don't understand your rant. Maybe you just have a dislike for westerners/Europeans. No matter what country you're in, if you brought any kind of food that wasn't the norm to school the children would be curious. I don't blame them, it's something that could happen in any country.
If a Muslim was in a restaurant and the person next to them was eating pork, they'd be uncomfortable as well. It's not just a "European/westerner" thing.
No matter what you think, he found that incense works best to drown out the smell, so he uses it. It's okay to not be able to understand others especially foreigners, just don't make up things and attack them for being "foreign". He's doing his best to adapt, his new reality is that he lives there and has to learn the language and communicate with others. It's not right to force him to "adapt" to eating/smelling kimchi, even a Korean in another episode of this show didn't like the smell of a certain Korean food that her mom always brought, but the western husband ate it up.
@Trinity M uh cheese is stinky, and European seems to be accepting of that fact. They will just tell you “you’re missing out.” That is it.
i love kimchi and I don't mind the smell. But, I kind of get it if he doesn't like and he is smelling it while eating something like cereal or toast it probably gets to him more. I''m american, but the smell of ketchup makes me want to gag especially if I'm eating some kind of simple food..
Lovely couple. I love that they run a campsite, it looks peaceful and great to have time out and be away from busy life.
When he starts speaking Spanish and Yuna cracks up sahmgewgjmtg so cute
My husband has only picked me wildflowers except for a couple times. I prefer those. He calls me his little wildflower. I have a whole book from 10 years of being together. Luckily, he has loved kimchi since I first introduced it to him. I love the smell of kimchi.
Beautiful ❤
Very very happy to see this video! Should educate folks!
Awww that's so awesome!
this is precious to see. My dad(white american) wouldnt even sit with us if we were eating kimchi. Hed actually get angry if kimchi jjigae was being made without the windows open. Never understood it bc hed eat sauerkraut and no one complained lol
He sounds like my husband (also white American). lol 🙄
Is he like?
Spicy cabbage: 🤢
Fermented cabbage: 🤤
i think its the fish sauce
This is an interesting culture combination or clash lol
I love kimchi but I admit the smell is overwhelming at first .
Really? People say that all the time but i can’t smell anything, i just love it so damn much 😂
@Trinity M thats because those are kids
@@blacklavoux i really dont understand either! Usually im quite sensitive to smells but i cannot for the life of me say that it smells like anything at all
@@blacklavoux the only time it stunk really bad was home made kimchi .. it smelled like rotting garbage to high heaven
Kimchi jiggae smells like old smelly feet yet I love it. It's truly the only downside. I love the taste though. 😅
Lovely dogss 🥰😍
1:35 😂🤣😂 my grandpa use to do that. He will always say I asked the rose bush if Can take some of her beautiful Roses and she said yes 😂🤣😂
What is the name of the camping place? I´m from Spain and it would be nice to go!
This is funny to see. I’m not Korean but usually buy a large tub of kimchi at my local HMart and my Spanish boyfriend won’t eat in the same room with me if it’s on the plate 🤣🤣🤣🤣
so where is part 2 ?
Was easier when you added links of different parts .
I dont know if i will be able to come to south korea someday, but i like this place and i want to go here. 😌🙏
The incense would totally irritate me. I hate incense.
Greetings from Seoul 🎉
Hose and Tuna? Autocorrect is messing with you!
Jose and Yuna haha
omg does it say that 😂
Why do they have to shut down their campsite business and move????
I would never ask my parents in law to change their cooking for me. In fact, I would LOVE to try Korean food 😊
I don’t blame him, normal cabbage smells bad enough so can’t imagine how bad Kim chi smells.
Why do they react to every reality show on the spot 😂
Where is this campsite ? Would love to stay there
Yeongwol, Korea it says in the description, but I don’t see a link to their website. I hope they can update it with their info bc I would love to add them on my travel list!
🇺🇸 if my gf didn't enjoy my food.... she's history!
I can understand if it's Cheonggukjang but it's just kimchi. I guess everyone has their likes and dislikes. For westerners if they're finicky serving them cooked kimchi like Dubu Kimchi with Samgyeopsal is a good way to ease them into the kimchi world... and what a wonderful world it is.
Their campsite looks lovely, When i get a chance to go to Korea I hope to enjoy the experience.
Kimchi is an acquired taste like cheese, both have very strong flavors and is “stinky” initially. Except the stinkiest cheese is edible mold while kimchi is probiotic fermented vegetable that is very healthy for you. Trust me if you keep trying a little bit at a time, maybe kimchi fried rice or kimbap, you’ll eventually crave it. I literally could not stand cheeses that smell like stinky feet before but now crave good cheese. 😂 The two stinky food compliments each other well too, kimchi Mac & cheese is so tasty 😊
He has andalusian (southern) accent
Oh mayygosshh they do live in container house????hows the cold???specially winter
he is not very polite with wife food?
Kimchi is strong but it's not that bad. Come on. Egg fish soup is stronger.
Try durian 😆
Malagueño como yo el tio oleeeee jajaja
Incense is carcinogenic, maybe open a window lol
Now ur just breathing co2 exhaust pipes
@@royaldecreeforthechurchofm8409 well it depends if youre ground level or not. with incense in an enclosed space thats probably worse
@@ot7stan207 no it doesn't, scientist have been measuring co2 levels at the peaks of mountains, parks, cities and ground level every day for 60years. It has steadily increased every year. We breath more pollution today then they did in ww2.
Hose 😅

Kimchi have strong smell? Wth
Kimchi only smells bad in the fridge.
Met at a farm with working holiday visa. Doing nothing but opened camping site with money. Having easy life. Great!
Jajajajajajaja
Lol I must admit Kimchi does smell like farts. My mother would always comment to it whenever we have to take out the kimchi from inside a Tupper ware lol
I have met many beautiful korean women in the massage parlors in los angeles.
These guys are going to get divorced.
Nah I get him, kimchi smells so strong and it’s not a good smell lol.
They must be so rich to have a land that wide 😍🥰🥰🥰

Papito no gusta kimchi? You in the wrong place LOL
Light a candle in the kitchen and where you will be away from the kitchen. Spray disinfectant spray when done cooking. It kills smoke pretty well with ventilation when i worked at a hotel a long time ago, it will help with food smells pretty well. Spray the whole room after the cooking is done. And the pans aren't hot any more. Open 2 windows before cooking Get the cross breeze. Blow it out as its cooking. I even block my vent for a short time. It works. When i come out i smell nothing. The candle after it's hot will cover up the last bit of stench. I do this for fish smells though. Kimchi is fine.
60 reservation ohh mayy gosh they will be rich in no time 🥰😍😍😍
This couple will not last long
Kimchi has a smell? To me its kind of neutral. Its always the fish broth that puts me off personally
girl what? Kimchi has such a strong smell when I first smelled it i thought someone farted up a storm in the dinner party but It does taste pretty good lmao
fish sauce*
@@hi2978 I literally love kimchi but anyone claiming it has no smell either has covid or is in straight up denial LMAO. You can't combine ingredients like garlic, onion, salted shrimp, fish sauce or broth, etc and expect it *not* to smell lolll
smart guy it sure does stink
Personally I can’t stand the scent of incense 😅 I’d rather smell kimchi any other day
@@endlesschaos7023 He meant the smell was strong, it gets mixed up with stink when English isn't your first language. Plus, she understands that he doesn't like it, it's not like he is telling her to not eat kimchi anymore. They found a way to compromise
@Endless Chaos tbf if they’re a married couple I feel like it’s less offensive but like putting incense is too much…should just open a window I feel like incense wouldn’t even be effective at getting rid of the scent, it would just mix together into kimchi incense
@@trinitym5552 She's not offended though and that's what matters. Kimchi smell was strong when I tried it too, so I always made sure to keep the lid on. You can't force him to like a food, he's had a bad experience with and has said that he doesn't like. Just because its something new from a different culture doesn't mean you have to be forced to like it. Maybe incense was the only thing he could find to use and not be affected by the smell. Maybe later on, he'll find something else to use.
@@junkaeuru Clearly it works for him
They can practice English with Jose?
Better practising Spanish.
In Korea if you look like a westerner some people will want to practice English with you, no matter if your native language is not English. It happened to some of my Spanish friends there.
In Europe, if you look Asian, people will automatically assume you're from China and speak bad English. And these Europeans are highly-educated with university degrees, it happened to some of my Asian friends there who are native English speakers
Last I heard Spain still had an almost 50% unemployment rate, or some massive amount close to that. Not surprising he'd rather they stay in Korea.
Lol it's 13%, not 50%. Anyway 13% is still high.
Last time i checked only a few years ago Korea was a super poor country and people were starving to death. Spain is the 13th richest country in the world and life here is so much better than in Korea, were people can't even afford to buy a house
@@emarcostar ???
@@emarcostar what 😂
You are mistaking unemployment rates in Spain with the number of hours a week a Korean has to work for a meager salary😂
So the European appearing partner insults their culture and also can’t speak Korean and the presenters love him. This show is funny anytime there is a white appearing partner they are so nice to them .
But he does speak in korean
I can't stand these hyper-sensitive people lol, even though I have very sensitive skin myself.
incense 😵💫oh mayygoshhh hahahah thats crazy!
Your dogs sleep outside?? HORRIBLE!!
Idk I think it’s kinda rude especially since they are married. I’d be kinda pissed actually…
rude that he uses incense to lessen the kimchi smell?
Yes. How would you like it if someone you loved lit an incense every time you ate your favorite native food in your native country? It’s like blowing smoke in someone’s face. I don’t want to be smelling some heavily scented smoke while eating every time cause guess what, Koreans eat Kimchi with everything. They’ve been married how long? And he hasn’t gotten use to the smell? What do they do when they go to restaurants? Is he gonna light a incense like a Karen because it doesn’t suit his sense of smell cause Kimchi is everywhere! It’s their national dish. So yes, it is rude. I wouldn’t come into your home and criticize your cultures food.
@@jayoungyoon2801 at least he tries to adapt and live in foreign country. not all things gonna clicks with him no matter how hard he try
@@karlinakhairunnisaa7420 Some Korean foods are an acquired taste. Like you probably won't like it the first time but eventually you'll get to like it. Trying it once while drunk is not really making an effort.
