According to the composer, Buh-roke for strings and harpsichord was inspired by Bach harpsichord concertos and “pays tribute to Baroque techniques with a funky twist.”
Sound Salon Artistic Director and harpsichordist Byron Schenkman notes “Damien Geter’s Buh-roke was really the inspiration for [ the Inspired by Bach online concert.] From the moment I started working on this piece I fell in love with it and the more I’ve played it, the more I’ve enjoyed it.”
