Bernie, it must be a joy working with your Mrs. I work with graduate engineers who stand and watch you struggle with no clue how to help. It would be great to have her come and show them how to anticipate what would help and just get on with it. What a star.
Hi. Thanks. We always work as a team and enjoy working together on most things we do. Unfortunately, we are both still very busy renovating our cabin before winter sets in and I need my apprentice 😆🐕🚙
Really well documented. This will be a godsend to anyone else wanting one. The look on Bernies face as he sat in the chair said it all. That is the number 1 seat from now on and its a game changer for comfort 👍
Morning. Sorry about delay. Power was off till bedtime. Thanks for commenting. Your right, it's definitely going to be a game changer...most likely for our Blue lol 😆 🐕🚙
Thank you for uploading this … it is exactly what I would have liked to have found on the Chapel Motorhomes website but didn’t … As well as the ‘how to fit’ I also wanted to see the ‘how you operate it’ bit … I’m somewhat mystified by the way the seat seems to loosely move in every direction during the swivel … I’d’ve liked to have seen the swivel action with just the base plate in place before the seat was put back on … But a very helpful video … Thank you for taking the time and effort for us … xxx
Hi Diane thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Yes, there is a distinct lack of information on Chapel's website, although the printed instructions are pretty easy to follow. To be honest, even with the seat off, you wouldn't be able to see much. I suppose we could have turned it upside down so you could see the underside, that may have helped. There is an L shaped cutout in the bottom of the two plates. Then the top plate moves along the L and across towards you to allow sufficient space to rotate the seat. Hope that makes sense.🤔🐕🚙
Fantastic Bernie and to your lovely helper, yous make a great team doing all your little jobs together. That give great leg room,Thankyou both for sharing 👏
Awh thanks. We like a challenge and it's a shame it's going to be a while before we get a chance to test it out. I'll pass on your best wishes for Bernie's op..its too close now fir him. Currently, Sitting in the dark no power and with 50mph winds outside isn't helping either. 😕🐕🚙

Bonjour. C'est exactement ma pensée depuis des mois pour aménager mon berlingot. Vous réalisez mon rêve, je vais voir comment et par qui le réaliser. Bonnes routes à vous. 🙏

But it will suit you both especially when Berni has had his knee done. Great informative vblog for anyone who wants to fit the same. "Well Done"
Thanks for watching Steve and your kind comment. It's a shame that just 2 days after we installed this seat Bernie had his op. So it's going to be quite some time before we get to use it 😕🐕🚙
Great video, thank you for sharing (also the loo seat video was very clever). I'm on the hunt for a Berlingo or Partner at the moment thanks to ulez putting my old Xsara out of commission in a few months. Most cars even the new replacement version of the Berlingo/ Partner that don't have the rear removable seats is daft in my eyes it's a great idea. I'm definitely aiming for swivel seats but hopefully both front drivers and passenger seats. Anyhow thank you for the ideas.....keep them coming. Have a happy new year Thanks Dan
Hi Dan. Thanks fir watching and for your kind comment. We wish you all the best in your search and totally agree about the newer models not having removable seats. It's such a bonus. We're currently unable to stay out overnight in Buddy until Bernie's knee recovers from surgery but, although we've removed the side benches. We have replaced only 2 rear seats and left out the third. Great place to use our chemical loo on planned day trips, until we're back in the flow. Oh and all the best to you too for 2023🙂🐕🚙

Brilliant, thank you for sharing, great work!! I’ve a question, when you’ve converted your Berlingo, how does that affect the MOT etc….. I’ve been told where I live, that the three seats in the back have to be put back in place in order to complete the MOT. Is there any paperwork that needs to be completed? Thank you again. ❤
Hi Jackie. Thanks for watching and your kind comment. We didn't have a problem past years here in Cumbria. They just record that the rear seats were missing at the time of test, in the advisory section. Although, last year, they didn't record anything. It may be wise to check with the garage you intend to take the vehicle to for testing to avoid any possible issues. 😊🐕🚙
Hi Tina and Bernie, I'm from Poland and I've been watching your videos of you upgrading your Berlingo for some time now. I like your channel very much. I also have a Berlingo, even in the same color, I like the idea of swivel armchairs, please tell me what brand is this swivel armchair platform? Regards, Piotr Nowacki
Hi Piotr. Thanks for watching and subscribing to our channel. We're both pleased that you have enjoyed our upgrade videos. Unfortunately, the company we ordered the swivel seat base from, Chapel Motorhomes, currently only supply to mainland UK. Sorry 😞 🐕🚙
Hi. Yes, it's been a real game changer. Really opens up the space. Hi. That's a good question. We took our time and of course we we're filming too. We recken it would most likely take a morning, or afternoon if you got straight down to it. 🤔🐕🚙
Think ot depends on your insurance company. We are insured with Directline as a "caravanette" their term. We did inform them when we fitted it, but they said it was fine as they would expect one in a vehicle of this type. Best to check with yours. 🤔🚙🐕
Bernie do you think that your 2014 seats would fit in my fiat doblo 2006 with a bit of tweaking because it would change the van for the better because every space counts in a micro camper keep up the good work guys an best of luck with the surgery Bern 👍🐶
Hi Martin. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments. I'm afraid we can't answer your question relating to if our Berlingo seats would fit in your doblo. Believe Citroën, Peugeot and Fiat are the same chassis, but with the age difference as well and not having actually seen inside a Doblo, Bernie says he's really not the best person to ask, sorry. Maybe checkout the Micro Camper and mini camper posts on their Facebook group pages, there might be someone there that could advise. Thanks again for watching and taking the time to comment. It's much appreciated.🤔🐕🚙
