you can try to have three different styles. haha
      sweet soy sauce + pepper
      light soy sauce + pepper
      just pepper
when picking up the container for soy sauce, shake it a little. the light sauce shakes easily, the sweet soy sauce is thicker.

Just put a tiny bit of soya sauce and white pepper, then dip the kaya toast 🍞 in the egg mixture. Some prefer not to put any condiments, just simply eat them as it is. Different taste buds. Love ❤️ your videos.

The fishy flavour you get in the Laksa broth is from the dried shrimp, a key ingredient. If you can handle the heat, you should add more Laksa Chilli paste, which gives a lot more fragrance, spiciness, heat, color, and flavours. Yours look a bit plain for most locals.

That is local kopi - black coffee with condensed milk, no sugar. Kopi O is black coffee + sugar. You can request for less sweet or more gao (more concentrated coffee) etc...and whole list of other combinations that I won't confuse people here LOL.
That is kaya and butter toast, not sugar and butter :D The kaya jam is made with coconut milk, sugar, pandan leaves and eggs basically.
Soy sauce and pepper should be added to the half boiled egg otherwise I think it will be too bland?
As for the best chicken rice in Singapore, this is difficult as there a tons of great chicken rice place around. Even in hawker centres around the neighbourhood. I think Boon Tong Kee is more popular (my preference too). They have quite a number of outlets in town. Actually the chicken are poached not steamed.
By the way, you should have gone to Loong Fatt Tau Sar Piah down the same Balestier Road. Love their patries but their queue is very long unless you preorder online. Kueh Salat is made of coconut, pandan and glutinous rice. Should have buy these kuihs from the stores the nonya/peranakan stores that make them :)
You should get the sambal chili to go with the roast duck. I would prefer to have more laksa leaves and additional sambal for the laksa too.
Actually Lau pat sat is a very touristy food centre and the prices are much higher than most of the other popular hawker centres. Hope you visit other hawker centres that more locals would go. Like Chinatown, Old airport road, Tiong bahru, Serangoon, Maxwell, Tekka Place, Golden Mile..just to name a few. These hawker centres have better tasting and cheaper food.

Hi David, if you want a coffee without milk, you have to say Coffee O. Else Coffee means coffee with condense milk. Or if you like coffee with carnation milk, say Coffee C.

@Ben’s Good Eats. Ben don’t waste your time. The fella cannot distinguish between a ginger sauce and a garlic sauce. Yet can rate a chicken rice? Lol…

Is all the food video showing being organic food?
Are the video encouraging people to eat organic food?
Based on the price of organic ingredient, the organic food is tasteless and not much sweetness and flavor.
Should use more approved industrial food chemical to enhance the taste and flavor of organic food.
Can eat more things into the body.
