You don't understand how the electoral college works.
Your state gets a certain amount of "votes" based on population. They don't vote against the consensus their vote is cast based on the culmination of districts who voted one way or the other.
The fucked up part about the electoral college is if you're the minority in the state politically speaking.
Like a republicans vote in California doesn't matter because it's a democrat majority state. So in the sense, no, a republicans vote wouldn't mean much in a presidential election cast in California.
Same could be said for a democrat's vote in Tennessee. But in the swing states like Iowa, each vote does matter because it's a close race.
So, I agree in most states it doesn't matter, but in some it does. But in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter who gets elected they all work for the same corporations.
