In previous times in the summer we had tried to see Fowey but it was full and we couldn't get in! That was before they set up that little local minibus to get you in, which must help a lot!
I did have time enough to walk the exit road a bit and it really looked very steep and with sharp narrow bends but I watched other vehicles getting through ok!
We have tied in the past to see what it was like down there but with no luck., glad we were able to get down in, at this relatively quiet time of the year!
There were times there when i thought you might have regretted your drive down into the Town ! But it was worth it at the bottom. Perhaps they have a 'Camberwick Green ' style Fire Engine on loan from The BBC ...lol.......Steve.
There is no point in being in a hurry down in there! Yes I am using a dash camera for this. I am in two minds about its quality especially regarding the sound!
Living not far from Fowey I had to have a little chuckle with some of the comments. You should try it 'in season' with hundreds of mindless tourists weaving all over the road as well as more traffic. Always worth it though. 😊
Now I know what the residents of Fowey think of tourists, I might give it a miss. Coming from a tourist area myself, I do know what it's like but am always aware how important tourism is for our area and happy to see them enjoying our countryside.
Thank you for sharing!
Very nice little old town.
Excellent video. Your car cam is very good.
Greetings

Hello Gunter. The car cam does give some reasonable pictures but I would like better sound quality!

You do get a feeling that once entered you may be trapped down in there and unable to get a road wide enough to get out!

+Thought for The Day (T4TD) It was really good to be able to get down in there and see what the place is like.! We had tried in the past and failed!

We live in a quiet little coastal town which in the holiday season is far from quiet! It keeps the shops busy however which cant be bad!
Seafront? It's on a river.
a motorcycle would be the best way to get around this place, maybe you could invest in one for your wife too, 1 down, 5 up lol
So many places these days make car ownership a problem! Our days on two wheels are now a long time back!
I live in Fowey
That must be good especially in the summer!
all most silent movies Mike.
A real old time place!
