Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate them! It's all about taking a good product, fixing a weakness (corrosive flux!), and making it even better (thicker wire, more useful connector).
I used six of them on my latest fire assignment, and could have used many more if I had the room to carry them.
      They sure paid for themselves!
Thanks for viewing the video, wishing you Luck with your solar adventures!

Hi, thanks for the video. Where do you buy your supplies?

Hi Girl in the Blue Ridge! Thanks for watching the video! I'm a huge fan of Powerwerx: Check them out at: www.powerwerx.com. Their prices are reasonable, they almost always have stuff in stock, and they ship FAST! We've been out on incidents, ordered stuff, and had it there on site 2-3 days later.
I really like their quality: I use the #2 welding cable for battery straps and most of my wiring. Their marine grade lugs (powerwerx.com/ancor-tinned-marine-lug-terminals) have decent plating, closed ends (mandatory for keep moisture out of cables!), and crimp really well.
For shrink tubing (over the crimped ends) I use Fastenal products (will drop part numbers in later): Make SURE you use the heavy duty, layered tubing with heavy duty adhesive in it. Cheap, single layer stuff without adhesive just doesn't work or seal well.
Although I use a lot of Blue Sea terminal posts, terminal blocks, jumpers, and heavy duty switches, I'm looking at replacing the switch/fuse combinations with DC breakers to simplify and economize installations.
Blue Sea is premium stuff, but hellaciously expensive in stores like West Marine.
Go to the Blue Seas site (www.bluesea.com), find what you need, then go to Amazon and buy it at substantial discounts!
Good luck with your off grid adventures!
