If you back away from the mic by a couple inches you can eliminate that boomy sound. It's called proximity effect. It can save you the headache of fixing it in post. Great video!

The thing i’m confused about is... my friends seem to have 0 crashes on pc while i’ve literally encountered almost every single dev error and disc error that exists. I sincerely doubt that any of my hardware are spoilt as well... my specs : i5-8400k cpu, GTX 1080, 8gb ram 2400mhz. Any ideas?

I found that if you DISABLE the OVERLAY in DISCORD that your game will work fine. 1. Open Discord 2. Go to User Settings (The screw by your name on the Discord app) 3. Game Activity 4. Find: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 5. Toggle the overlay OFF (Screen should show a RED X on it) 6. Test: Run your game. ENJOY!
I have an i9 9900k and a rtx 2060 I was playing the game just fine last night but when I loaded it up this morning it won't even launch without giving me "direct x has encountered an unrecoverable error"

I just installed the game and already have the directx error and cannot launch the game I have no cache as I have not opened the game before but I will try to restart my computer to see if that helps using the command line -d3d11 didn't help for me
THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS SAVED MY EXPERIENCE after changing the game setting to -d3d11 it pulled up my game and told me that some files were corrupted and that i could fix them. not its working like a charm
Late here but this issue has only just started creeping on me, had weeks with no issues S5 drops and I crash every 1-3 games of warzone (only warzone) multiplayer doesn't crash. I've tried every fix except disabling Dx12. Every fix seemed to work for few games, got my hopes up, then boom another fatal error crash. I will try disabling Dx12 and running it on Dx11. But at this point with 12+ fixes found and tried this issue it's totally ridiculous, and shouldn't be happening from a 280GB £45+ AAA game. Especially 5 seasons after launch. Activision support is useless and doesn't even want to engage this issue. I'm going mad as my partner had crashes for a few days, did one fix and it solved her issues and now she plays warzone without me every day because mine now breaks for no reason.
@troublechute i would like to point out that designating your ssd space for ram usage also helps to remove this directx error, i have legion Y530 laptop with 8 gb ram, i5 8300h and gtx 1050ti. Hope it helps others.
I FOUND A FIX!!!!!!!!!!! If none of these things work! it is because you have an overlay like nvidia's in-game overlay or msi afterburner's rivatuner. Disable every overlay, restart battle.net and have fun! Like so people can see!

omg man it was MSI afterburner overlay. I only had 60fps max and the game crashed as soon as I changed settings or tabbed out to windows. It took me 4 hours, I did a firmware update, completely removed AMD drivers, reinstalled, removed again, tried an older version. used directx 11. still nothing helped. I was close to trying to manually remove directx from registry and re install it. But then I simply quit MSI afterburner and I have 140+ fps and no errors anymore lol
make your own with "bring back youtube dislike" ad on for chrome :) maybe you have an fps or discord overlay on top of your game? switching that off solved it for me
Tried a lot of solutions but the best for me was that putting an additional line in settings (battlenet) -d3d11 (dash is needed) no freezes anymore, while dx12 is already been there for a couple of years dev's don't program the game well for dx12, seen it in a lot of games and a lot of ppl. DX 11 is more crash proof

Thinking my 600w PSU isn’t enough for my i9 9900k and my power color red devil 5700xt bc my games keep crashing but also got BSODs. Gonna change it this weekend and see if fixes anything. I have Nvida 2080 Ti x 2 , the config file doesn't state I have 2 graphics cards on that bottom line. I have no idea where to find the Identifier code for the other card to fix the line, If I even need to do that. I've had this problem since may. I've completely reset my pc since then
I have a Alienware rtx laptop . So I tried everything nothing worked . What game does is changes your screen resolution in Nvidia control panel which changes to Fullscreen to aspect ratio and you have to change it back to Fullscreen mode I don't know why the game does that. It should work. It worked in my case.

My system specs are i5 4th gen 8GB RAM 1 TB HD Intel HD Graphics family 2 GB & my laptop also has NVIDIA GEFORCE (green) sticker on it. When I right click on desktop it also shows NVIDIA control panel. Every time I clutch, win a match, had my last kill for the challenge, it fucking crashes, I disabled the DirectX in-game, limited the fps to 144hz, and it still fucking dies. My CPU is i5 - 8400 2.90GHz, GPU MSI RTX 2060, Ram 16gb 2666, and the game is in SSD, I will rage more about the error than in-game.

For me it was an FPS and GPU temperature overlay. I closed MSI afterburner and the problem was fixed

quitting msi afterburner was the solution for me
That likely means you have your core clock speed set too high.

the command line does nothing, the game doesnt have any dx11 mode. it was purely designed and made in dx12 and therefore cant run in dx11.

Disabling discord overlay seemed to work for me. Discord does not have to be open for this to effect the game. Hope this helps!

I resolved my issue by closing RTSS.

Every time I clutch, win a match, had my last kill for the challenge, it fucking crashes, I disabled the DirectX in-game, limited the fps to 144hz, and it still fucking dies. My CPU is i5 - 8400 2.90GHz, GPU MSI RTX 2060, Ram 16gb 2666, and the game is in SSD, I will rage more about the error than in-game.
so like 2 months ago i had the game i played some matches on my xbox account and then got false banned u kno i created a new acc played some more and left but i had the same problem and it worked by removing overlay but this time i have discord overlay disabled and it still doesnt work

Underclock the ram frequency. I was from 3200 to 3000. No crash now

I did most of this shit and it made it worse, now it crashed in the menu's instead of randomly in game. Sick!
