The most telling thing to me about intentions was that the Meg went into his chat to say “ez”. They are being passive aggressive and looking for a reaction there. It’s easy to say they didn’t want to incite bullying, etc, but I don’t buy that at all when they - or their friend - intentionally went into the chat to be toxic and try and get a reaction back.

Kaiser definitely shouldn't have been "exposed" the OP clearly doesn't show any empathy towards Kaiser and seemed to just want to stir drama despite what they thought. Kaiser showed he's above & beyond the "toxic" community when he displayed empathy towards the meg, realised he screwed up and just calmed himself down, no matter what you'll always have bad days It's only if you can recognize it that you put yourself above the toxicity.

My initial reaction was if he had that big of a problem with blinding he should use lightborn. But after watching more everyone has bad and/or emotional days and deserve some compassion. He can obviously self-reflect relatively quickly after and took a breather by ending.
This is why it's important to look at someone's attitude over time. If this was a regular thing and he made excuses every time then yeah, expose him. But just a one off? Leave him be, he's obviously been greaving and emotions are high.

Without even watching the vid yet, I've played against this dude. Can tell just from the thumbnail. He wasn't toxic in our game at all. Played fair and didn't hard tunnel or camp. He was a bit annoyed with Trickster but didn't take it out on anyone. So if he was ever overly toxic or something, I'm sure it was a one-off. I know I can be toxic as hell when I'm having a bad stretch of games or a bad day, but I always keep it to myself and don't burden anyone else with my tantrums. But when there is a camera in front of you, you have no choice but to hold back your frustrations.

I think naming them should only be done in cases like this where you reached out to Kaiser and have his permission to discuss his toxicity and the reasons for it. Most people aren't even angry. They can be sad and depressed but when you hold it in and bottle it up for so long just one little thing will effect you and it just turns into pure rage. People need to realize this and take into account how others are feeling. If you see someone like this just try to talk to them or ask them if they are ok. Don't harass them or bully them. It will just add on to it and it can turn bad for the person going through these tough times.

It's a challenge and ego check to not want to poke back and take that frustration out on others when they come in with "ez". To take a moment and say "you know what, i reacted really poorly, my bad" is so important and I definitely appreciate his honesty.
Regarding the poster on Twitter. "Deleting would be an admission of guilt"
You can absolutely delete something and go "yeah i didnt think this through". That doesnt mean you INTENDED harm initially. Just means youre mature enough to understand the IMPACT is negative.
The downside of "Toxic ttv" content is that you have people so willing to get some engagement that it's done out of bad faith where people in their one-off low moments are thrown under a bus for said engagement.

If he doesn’t always do this and this is like a one time thing, it seems that he just had a bad day. He apologized directly to the person he was mad at and logged off. He made it right. I’m kind of worried some of these “Toxic TTV Exposed” videos are going to get out of hand, and everyone will want a killer or survivor exposed if they show even a little bit of frustration on stream. I don’t want these videos to become something like a witch hunt.

He was just angry at the game. In game salt, even more one that no one can hear isn't bad, is just way to calm yourself (not always effective). He would be toxic if he was complaining to them in end game chat or send private messages about how he hate how they played but he didn't and even saw that he got too mad, said sorry and end the stream

I think a thing that gets forgotten sometimes is that with the way the hame is structured, losing in dbd feels a lot rougher than other games, imo. The game can have a fairly big skill floor depending on who you play as or how much you know going in and the game itself doesn’t add much value to learning through defeat. I’ve had friends who have never even been upset around game, let alone at one before play dbd and end a match fuming, it’s an unfortunate aspect of the game.

Another great video Aaron! You always put things in way that both pushes people to do better but also to not vilify these people. I think it's really hard to do while not excusing it and not taking satisfaction in their toxicity. No one should get happy seeing someone legitimately have a game ruined for them and they got eally upset. To me, toxicity in a video game is a sign that someone is going through some shit. Doesn't mean I have to put up with it, but it does mean you should not direct get joy from making other's miserable. Eventually things won't go your way and you start being harder on yourself when you (inevitably) fail as hard as the person you berated, or berating your swf.
I'm so glad that that TTV was able to apologize, take a break, and emotionally move on. All three of these things nourish you when you do them together.

I think they should be shown because it points out their behavior over a video game, and they should look back at the video & self reflect. The other side isn't safe as well cause Survivors are the worst, they bring out this kind of behavior and then continue to harass the person more and more just to try and get more reactions out of em

Leave him at peace and let him enjoy his life it isn’t like he is hurting these players anyways, it’s a game and he saying things on stream and he apologized so move on.

I think some of us as killers and survivors sometimes get way too upset in moments because mentally we aren’t there fully. I think we’ve all had matches in a game like this at one stage (especially if you’re a competitive person) it’s rough because afterwards you just feel stupid and annoyed at yourself.
The way Kaiser approached the aftermath was the best way they could’ve dealt with it. It’s unfortunate because they’d had a rough time and it all just culminated in this.

Watching that human being have a breakdown over a game was hard to watch for me maybe because of my mental illness but I don’t have a damn clue how someone could watch that and go “this is funny” “this will get me views” and not “I hope this person is ok” or feel some sort of empathy of some kind. honestly makes me sick to my stomach.

  • @TallMist
    @TallMist Рік тому +1

This guy just pretty much voiced my inner thoughts when I get mad while playing killer in DBD. I keep it all inside and never like, actually punch anything, but in my head I will be screaming at the survivors because I'm frustrated. It all disappears when the game ends, I keep my rage purely inside the game itself because I intend no ill will to anyone I play against, but it's there. Given the fact this man apologized and realized what he was doing and took a step back, I can't really blame him for losing his cool in the first place, even without the context of what he was going through that day (the added context of it being his passed away dad's birthday only reinforces that I can't blame him at all). I don't consider him toxic at all, and the person who "called him out" should be ashamed of caring more about 15 minutes of internet fame than the damage they're doing to another person.

Something as potentially tilting as DbD on such a loaded anniversary - I'd be more surprised if he'd managed to keep his temper, frankly. That said, he almost immediately realized he was not in a good head space, apologized for his behavior, and stepped away. That's a level of maturity and self-responsibility we should all strive for.

Even with his original post, I would not have hated the killer for getting that frustrated, Im sure some people get that upset too over that survivor playstyle, but theyre not on camera to record the reaction. I also agree with the op that removing the clip is an admission of guilt, and a simple apology for not reviewing the stream further than the limits of the clip would suffice. Overall the killers reaction is content, its humbling. It makes us all think that we need to watch ourselves more carefully sometimes and doesnt throw any shade at the killer cause people have bad days

No matter how composed a player is they will always break atleast once, If its not a constant pattern of Toxicty and just happened once due to not being placed in the best spot mentally then I think it's fine, There is a huge difference between gamer rage and genuine toxicity.

I don't feel like we should be condemning the killer for bleeding out the survivor here. The survivor team was literally refusing to let him pick up, in the absence of good enough game skill to work around it, bleeding someone out is the straightforward solution, especially when the entire team wants to stand around to troll instead of doing generators meaning there's no time pressure.

I don't think Kaiser is toxic, if anything he was having some really bad games.
But who I think is super toxic is the OP who shared the clip because they clearly posted a clip showing the TTVs face and exposing them with the intent of showing the bad side, like making it seem Kaiser is toxic. The OP who clipped it think is very self absorbed as they made the context show the TTV as toxic to them and their friend, as well as start unnecessary drama, especially after Kaiser apologized for how he reacted to their friend.
