Thats most definitely not why the Xbox version looks better. Its the gamma and color saturation levels that are better on the original version, which makes the PC version look grey-ish and washed out in comparison.

OG Xbox version is the best one for halo 2 no matter how old it looks with 480p.
Xbox in this case, the windows vista version broke so many effects and lighting. If You compared MCC and OG xbox then it would be MCC.
Pc had higher definition textures but xbox had a good contrast that combines perfectly with low textures and made it look better imo.
the colour is so drowned out in mcc, the juicy colours of the og xbox version gives it so much life
PC would be better if it represented the original 1:1 but there are tiny little differences that make the Xbox version better
The color grading on the xbox also allowed the bloom to shine more then on the mcc, if you download the lighting fix mod though it fixes this problem
Halo 2 Vista's graphics are broken, the classic MCC mode is better since they fixed it
If this is the Vista port, Xbox by a complete landslide
