Beware as he T poses to assert his dominance over you
more like he assets his dominance over you
the T pose never happened in my version (Switch handheld)

Not anymore though. It’s patched up.
developers: behold our epic boss theme
me: sorry what? i just defeated the boss
Tfw you beat the boss in 30 seconds
my guy farmer jose just wanted to farm some corn ;-;
Damn kind of a shame the boss dies in less than 30 seconds this is a pretty good theme
Oh no.
Oh no.
Oh no.
GIVE IT YOUR BEST SH- Oh no.
Is it weird for me to think if people used the Pounding Pig costume, Bartholomew would be a slightly harder first boss?
Did you know you can just walk up to the boss and it’ll damage him?
@@tylerrobles9935 wait you don't even have to press an attack button you can just walk into him?
@@cendrillon4986 yeah lol
Vector the Croc as a Werehog.
But with the ability to assert dominance as an alpha furry.
1:12 best part of the song imo
Yes. Just yes.
The chanting reminds me so much to the ones from many Astral Chain songs, including the ones in Legion Assault and Jena Anderson's theme.
Anything relating to Astral Chain’s music is just godlike
THATS WHY I THOUGH IT SOUNDED FAMILIAR!!!!! OMG THAT YOU SO MUCH🤣
Two words
NieR automata
@@SonikkuXenoHearts3587 platinum games made both games AND BEST OST WITH THEM
@@PARIS-ARCANA no Square Enix made this game so it's more like kingdom hearts
Music is the only thing that impressed me about the demo.
Ah, yes, my favorite gaming trope; Make a song that is incredibly long but make the section it goes for incredibly short.
Well to be fair, He is the first boss... Plus you could make it longer by using only a specific costume only.
@@galiogargoyle6295 I've seen other games handle 1st bosses better, tho.
Case in point, Donkey Kong country Tropical Freeze. First boss was easy, but was still decently paced, alongside great atmosphere and fair but challenging difficulty.
Barky boy over here only has 3 attacks. All of which are telegraphed far in advance, and most of which can't really hit you. Combine that with his 3-hit healthpool and he's pathetic.
@@yetravellingsonc8372 But I did say a specific costume, That wouldn't entirely mean the Tornado Wolf costume. What about the Pounding Pig? Would that make it harder for you?
@@galiogargoyle6295 Suppose. What I'd do:
* Slighly more agressive
* 1-2 more attacks
* 8-12 hp
* The trophies are now for using 3 costumes, no damage, and under a different tiem for each boss, for this one 1:20
@@gamingawesomeness222 Hmm, I actually like the sound of that... Tell you what, If the game comes out for steam, I'd like to see someone mod the game to make the bosses harder. Perhaps give them glowing red eyes when taken down to half health and implement all of what you suggest. Still though, There are another 11 bosses in the game, perhaps more idk, So we'll have to see what they bring to the table first... Even though Barktholomew went down easy in the demo. I still do like how he looks though.
I wonder what the other bosses sound like.
I love this epic chanting, but this dude is no harder than your typical Mario boss.
I feel this game had underestimated how good kids can be in video games...plus adults lol
Weird thought, but what if the bosses had HP meters instead of just taking three hits to defeat (with each power-up dealing a different amount of damage)? Just one of many changes I think would've made it an interesting challenge.
Hard Mode Fight:
Phase one: The original fight, but with corn missiles you can fire to damage him.
Phase two: The arena transitions to a mudslide, and Barktholomew bounces around in order to knock you off. Trick him into nearing the edge of the arena in order to make him fall into the mud and damage him.
Phase three: The arena transitions to the ruined cornfield, and the sun starts to shine through at different intervals. Knock Barktholomew into the sunlight to weaken and finally defeat him.
I used to listen to streams just to listen to this song, thanks for this stranger!
I quit playing the demo before I reached any bosses, but _oh my goodness,_ this is an amazing boss theme!!
It's really a shame that this game isn't all that good. In the best case scenarios, I replay a game and its bosses _just_ to hear the boss themes again, and given how great the soundtrack is, I could easily see this having been one of those games.
Also, I knew this theme in particular reminded me of something, but I just realized what: It sounds very similar to "Raiding Horde" by Ivan Bertolla. I suggest that anyone who likes this should go check that out.
I love the sound of this music
Reminding me of SMT: Strange Journey with the deep voiced chanting lol
1:12
Looks like this is the best part of the song. :)
It’s absolutely godly
Oh no! Our table! It's broken!
The name of the world 1 boss is Barktholomew, and he seems to have a combination of abilities from the Tornado Wolf, Pounding Pig, Jumping Jack and Dainty Dragon. Anjellica, the boss of world 2 has the abilities of the Jelly Jolt. Wormsworth, the boss of world 3 has the abilities of the Web Wrangler and Sickle Slinger. Worville Wright, the boss of world 4 seems to be a monstrous form of the Areo Acrobat. Cuckoo, the boss of world 5, has the long tounge of a Lickshot Lizard, the Lucky Egg, and resembles a monstrous version of the Bird Guardian. Purrla, the boss of world 6, has the abilities of the Air Cat, Pounding Duck, Pumpkin Puncher, and Chrono Bunny. Out of all the bosses, Purrla is my personal favorite.
Sorry about that. What I meant to say for Cuckoo's description was that it had the eggshell of the Lucky Egg.
I really like Worville Wright's design. Can't wait to see him in action.
I do like that the bosses seem to incorporate elements of the levels costumes
Like they're using your own tactics against you
Awsome
There will come a day that balan wonderland would be fixed. Or remade in a way to make this at least slightly better
PHENOMENAL soundtrack
Like from what I’ve heard the idea behind this game (and the story that was sold separately 🤦🏻♂️) were really good so between that and the themes just makes the outcome so upsetting
I hope you upload the other boss tracks soon!
I definitely will!
So sad that this is the only really good thing about the Boss. I feel like with the way Balan Wonderworld is made he Boss should have been more of a puzzle boss where you need to work with the transformations in a creative way to damage him that is not direcly obvious.
The way this boss is designd makes it feel like a Mario boss...without Mario controlls and that just does not work for me. The Boss feels more like: ok after a nice amount of platforming have this short fight against basically a stronger enemy and than move on. Works for Mario as the focus there is platforming and not fighting, but here....a puzzle would have been a better approach if you ask me.
(To be fair Mario games like Galaxy and Odessey had some more interesting bosses than just here have this stronger enemy but I sill think that design choice works there just because the main focus for most Mario games is running and jumping not fighting so a simple boss is a good choice there so it does not break the flow of the game.)
from the varies screenshots, i think later bosses will be much tougher
i mean boss 12 will take the floor you're standing on and shoot it at you
This feels like the type of music that would play as you fight a tribal God, but instead, it plays as you fight spinny Beyblade Wolf man.
Hey Abyssal Symphonia, how long will u get all the songs from "balan wonderworld"?
I'm not paying full price for this game, but instead Square Enix is selling the OST CD, I'll upload the soundtrack as soon I get the soundtrack CD. Just wait a little longer, I'm going to upload the full Soundtrack soon :)
Corn destroyed by tornado, farmer gains the ability to create tornado
Not sure how canon adjacent the novel and the game are, but in the novel the inhabitants transform into the bosses so they can protect their stages from being destroyed by you so they can stay in Wonderworld (something Lance mislead them to want). So it makes sense that Jose uses something he sees as powerful and unstoppable against you.
Thanks
It sucks that you can't mute all sounds entirely in the demo.Unless you know how datamine the demo
I wish there was a way to completely mute all sounds. I do not know how to datamine unfortunately.
@@abyssalsymphonia795 I tried to extract the music once the demo came out with QuickBMS,however it was impossible because i needed a "key" for Balan, but there wasn't a key so it didn't work
@@frooster96 The only thing we can do is lower the game sounds to 1 and increase the music to 10, I'm hoping Square Enix to sell a OST soundtrack so we can listen to the music without the presence of the in game sounds, I had to run around in the boss stage trying to avoid the boss attacks, and at some point i accidentally pickup a key which you can hear it at some point somewhere in the video if you have a sharp ear.
@@abyssalsymphonia795 I like the game sounds! It feels like it adds to it!
Big Nier OST vibes
This song sounds like something from a NieR game, why is this in Balan Wonderworld of all games.
What if Mario or link had with fight with a Wolf boss imagine that :D
If only the gameplay can match the ost as well
Or maybe Luigi mansion
Damn this ost rocks! But the game dosent! Ugh what a world
