Hey when you pull the bolt back, does the rear of it extend into the buffer tube at all? If so, by how much? Asking because I want to put a cap and folder on the buffer tube.
Do you think the bolt action will mitigate the weak point of polymer lowers? Polymers usually break by the buffer tube but seeing as there isn’t a bcg running back and forth that shouldn’t be as much a concern.
Hold onto your hats, because it looks like BCA just released the 6.5 Grendel, .223 Wylde, and 5.56 bolt-action uppers now too.
That's slick. I have a 224 valkryie barrel I might slap this in.
Thank you for making the video. Answered a lot of everyone’s questions
@kyle4910 thanks glad you like 👍
This video answered all my questions, looking forward to my 300BO build
Glad it helped

I look forward to the answer of this
@jmf1976jmf I found it that it extends 1.5 inches into the buffer tube.
@@FC2ESWS I was afraid of that
Angle grinder
This might be pretty promising matched with a jp headspaced bolt and barrel combo
Looking for BC to produce the 6MM ARC in a bolt action upper

Thanks man that is pretty much what i thought they did 7.75 300 bo coming up.
What is that bolt with the rubber o ring for that screws into the rear of the receiver? Is it needed/ how tight should it be tightened?
@tim5114 it's needed just hand tight so the flat on receiver
@@chiefmachining7972 alright just got mine today and wondered cause it wasnt lining up flat when tightened, thank you.
They have 6.5 Grendel now
So it appears that any semi auto ar15 bolt will work with the bolt action carrier?
@@jmf1976jmf yes
@chiefmachining7972 thank you
Do you leave the buffer and buffer spring in the lower? Or take them out?
@Zach_D I'm going make another video, but since you asked, I tried it both ways and made no difference firing or chambering rounds
@@chiefmachining7972 Thank you!
