@@ghost-hn2lh Oh, absolutely. But being treated poorly in the past does mean that I wish they would get help and change their ways, rather than be arrested and thrown in the slammer.
Not to mention that, if there's a trial, that means having my trauma picked apart under a microscope by a lawyer, which is a whole nother flavor of nightmare.

My only guess is that tracy was abused since childhood and thought it was 'normal' to treat people like that. It is very sad. because in reality, it happens to people.

yea it kinda leaves a weird taste in my mouth, like I'm very glad the listener won and tracey is getting punished for what she did, but there's a part of me that can't help but feel bad, kinda in the same way I feel about azula in atla, I'm glad they beat her but sad because she just wasn't raised by someone who actually cared about her and thus became the villain that she was groomed to be

I mean sure, trauma will mess up your expectations of what a relationship is, but deep down they know that hitting you is wrong. They might rationalize it to make themselves feel better, but they know. They wouldn't try to hide it otherwise.
