In an alternate life where i had a healthy start, i would've walked a path like this man. My father was a pilot, and was setting me up to have a license when i was 16. My mother and him divorced at 15. Didn't see him for a few years after that, and a few too many years lost. You never get them back.

Shit...after seeing that go down I don't think I would let my spouse do anything like it. Idk if that's selfish or not. (Probably) but I dont care. I'm not THAT much of a risk taker. Those guys basically cheat death often. Perhaps when space travel becomes as safe and routine as commercial flying then I'll change my mind. But for now, I like feeling the ground under my feet. Literally.

If you're a man like Chris Hadfield, you'll get a woman like his wife. He was a supportive husband who gave credit to his wife for his achievement. Men these days don't want to do that. They'll suck all the life out of the woman and act like they achieved everything by themselves, so women gave up on men and decide to pursue their own dreams

    • @nepttune710

Simple. To reign supreme in fields that no other country can even fathom. And to somehow use such relative info to further american advancement in military and space exploration. It is a great deal of money that could easily be spent elsewhere though. That much I agree with. Also I'm not sure I trust NASA on the surface. They have done some questionable things that make me wonder what their place is in the world. But I do like the fact that people like elon musk are out doing it privately. I can get behind that all day. Cheers.
