It's cool that every UA-camr in China brings their own flare / personality / taste in food, clothing, etc, into their videos. I watch a number of UA-camrs in China and it doesn't bore me simply because of the unique personalities from each content creator. The clothing shopping was interesting... this is from someone who wear plain clothing. 🕊
Thanks for another vlog, I've lived in China for all these years but I've never been to Chengdu. Watching your video now and it's definitely making me consider going there someday. Watching you shopping and eating is just cathartic and soul-cleansing in a way XD and I also think it's sweet to see locals trying their best to speak English to you. English is really difficult for Chinese speakers and I feel like not a lot of western english speakers appreciate that fact enough, and may sometimes even belittle us for speaking it poorly.
Woah, just found your channel while researching Hong Kong. Refreshed your channel and caught you uploading so I guess I'm leaving a comment to say hi. Kinda wished you had some more HK content but it seems like you had a blast. Idk if you mentioned it in another video but can you speak Cantonese? Either way I wish you the best and keep being you!
I just came across a youtuber The China Traveller who got his 5 Star Card (China Green Card). I remember that you expressed your frustration for you and your family in getting the 5 Star Card , maybe now is a great opportunity since your whole family has contributed and lived (parents and siblings) there for such a long time❤
Hello Alysa, how are you? I thought you gave up making videos, I was almost going to delete your You Tube channel. Thank you for coming back! I like your videos, I really enjoy following you.
Welcome to Chengdu, my hometown, maybe it’s not worse than Canton in some parts? Hope once there will be a chance to invite you and your in Chengdu, or in Guangzhou, best wish from Copenhagen
Distance is about 1300km. High-speed train trip is 7 hours journey. It is a bit too long for many people. And if it is not peak season time, flight usually is cheaper than high speed train high speed train ticket for such long distance.
Chinese government just change the rules for obtaining permanent residence making it easier for foreigners who have resided in China for many years. If you have obtained a work visa for at least 1 year twice consecutively then you will be able to apply for permanent residence.
Sorry for my language, but this is a bullshit. It is as hard as it always was. And I have one. If you apply via Work Route you need to: 1) Tax paid, some amount, don't know the number but my friends who applied as well barely made it AFAIK. You need to earn about 40k rmb after tax to get there. 2) passport 3) income certificates from all companies for the past 5 years I think? (HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS) 4) business license (ALSO BIG PAIN) 5) some letter from the company explaining how cool you are to give you the GC (PAIN) 6) criminal record, your home country (It was a huge pain, since there was no Apostle in China, no there is, so a bit easier) 7) criminal record here in China (Easy) The same hard, or even harder to apply if you are going via Marriage Route (my route). Stop spreading misinformation please, all those news about how easy to get Chinese permanent residence, yet again - is complete bullshit. It is not easy, not in a slightest, never was, and most probably will never be. It is only easy if you are a Talent or some big figure for establishing 关系, then you can get GC almost hassle free within days (if not hours), yes.
@@sempiro3133 you are mistaken. China just made an announcement to simplify all procedures to apply for permanent residence to those who have been offered a work visa for at least one year twice consecutively.
Since you are from Guangzhou... you are aware that curry, as well as pizza are "yit hei", not good for pimples. Well you are on a trip, might as well enjoy it, right? Or use one of my friend's excuse, "Chinese medicine works in reverse for me because I am a laowhy!"😅 (Note: it doesn't)
I think 中外is more appropriate since ethnicity (DNA) is more significant than citizenship in China. (As compared to Chinese-American definition where citizenship is the last defining description).
Hey Alysa! This is really awkward for me to comment but i would really love to meet you! Im planning to visit Guang zhou this May 2-May 6 if you’re free? Im feeling quite lost and alone, but i want to try going on a adventure and make some friends along the way, especially ones who can speak english too. I hope you can consider this 💗

life is great in CHINA
20 years? Wow! That is the same years passed since my family moved to US from South Korea.
You remind me of Ally Sheedy from that 80s movie, Breakfast Club
it is full of life!
You're lucky to be in Asia, nobody tries to rob you
she grew up in Guangdong, she is very local.
so many nice foods!!!

Flight to Guangzhou? Don't they have high speed rail between Chengdu and Guangzhou?

Hahaha funny the way life turns out! 😆
LOL!!! How do you even fall asleep at night?!!!

You deserve a Mr. Right!!!! If I am around you, I think I will fall in love with you.
Dodge the num peppers. Actually, you need to cut the spicy foods and drink a LOT of herb tea.

Oh, my wife and you have one biggest thing in common, you are both - coffee junkies, hahahahahaha. "Hi" from Shenzhen! 😂☕
Does anyone know why she stopped posting? I hope she is okay. She seems such a nice and sweet woman.
you can you up
spicy food caused it
The food in Sichuan is very spicy,so it has the best anorectal hospital in China.😂😂😂
Nice videos, Alysa. Can't help wondering if you have a boyfriend?
