    That was funny. I loved the tourist bit when you showed Dutch people partying like crazy somewhere else. Thanks for sharing.

    I realy like watching your videos! This one rocks 😂 Since I moved to The Netherlands your videos gave me so much insight in Dutch culture, that’s why I recently started with Podcasts for Expats! Would love to have you as a guest if you are up for it? We can even record a video that you could use! I belive you are right the person for it. Keep up the good work

    Is the planning every day out really normal? That seems like an insane amount of work, plus I love the spontaneity of hanging out with friends, to me it seems like they really care.

    • @MakingitinHolland
      @MakingitinHolland  2 роки тому +1

      Literally not even joking, every single day is planned out in weeks and weeks in advance. 😂 Even for things like booking hairdresser or going to a restaurant you need to plan it & book it in advance.

      @@MakingitinHolland Man that’s crazy! Good to know though, I plan on moving to the Netherlands after graduation, and this will probably be the part that needs the most adjusting for me.

      I personally do it because I want to make sure I have time and that I don't accidentally make 2 appointments at the same time. I have no problem with being spontaneous, but I do want to be sure that if we're meeting we're getting the most out of it. Having only 15 minutes to do something is less fun than having 2 hours.

    An easy-going cute video, but didn't make me giggle, frankly speaking. These are just basic peculiarities of Dutch society that I respect and accept.

  • @albertlay8927

    Spot on!!! Except maybe the planning with friends. If you have a friend who has no life, last minute plans are usually not a problem.

  • @void_star_void
    @void_star_void 2 роки тому +1

    The part about planning are they doding? maybe the person doesn't like to hang out?

    • @MakingitinHolland
      @MakingitinHolland  2 роки тому

      Well, sometimes of course people want to dodge... but in this case it’s mainly that they plan every single day with a lot of detail that it’s very hard to squeeze in something “spontaneous”.

  • @hayambangkok

    Ha ha ha. So funny. True. Dutch people plan their activities for a whole year from January to December.
    And they are very very stingy even to themselves. 😂😂😂
