It doesn't matter what you collect, someone will have a negative opinion on it. People are loons. Great vid as usual Tom!
Where’s Jerry?
Thanks!
Thanks for the heads-up on the next Granby Flea Market in October!
Yes, it's usually in mid-May and mid-October. Not sure of the exact date yet. It's a good time!
So glad I can see all this stuff & not be there in person.
I would come home with so much stuff, and when I got home, I'd have no idea where to put any of it!
The doctor told me I'm showing early signs of OLD, so I should have my own tag sale..
Hi my name is June I live in the Northeast, Jersey. I'm new to your channel and hooked! I am a big collector of antiques and unique items especially Asian. To the person that commented on your bottle collecting Ignore them. They are Haters...too many good people in the world to have that comment get to you. Good luck and blessings always.
I really enjoyed your video. I live in Australia so we don't have so many of these wonderful sales. So interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! Happy you enjoyed it! Do they have anything like flea markets down there?
We do, but nothing on the scale you have. I guess because we have a much smaller population. Keep your videos coming please.
Really enjoy your videos, really informative. The green thing that I think is called a frog for flower arranging..
Thanks for the info, and for watching!
Drinking glasses to bottles seem like a natural progression
So cool to see someone youtubing this flea market. I live in NJ now but grew up in East Granby
Obviously, the person who said bottle collecting is the lowest of low doesn't have a clue. There many pre-1900 antique bottles that sell for hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, and large antique bottle shows all over the country and museums that have amazing antique bottle collections and displays.
Yeah, I'm not really sure what he was talking about.
Shout out to the guy overheard in the video giving proper appreciation for bats.
Yes, I heard him too. Was he correct?
You can do a lot with bottles! I like to put the fairy lights in them and give them out just because! I had to rewind the Master of Universe part…I thought you didn’t know who Teela was…I had to rewind and saw it was another toy that definitely wasn’t Masters of the Universe! I was worried for a sec! lol 😂
I'm no expert on MOTU, but I can recognize Teela! Ha ha!
Something for everyone? Yup! I love going through flea markets but I'm super specific about what I collect. And even I noticed something I would have grabbed off to the side of something you were looking at :D
I haven't watched too many of your flea market adventure videos yet, mostly the mall ones, so if you've already done one I haven't seen it yet, but I think you'd enjoy the year-round indoor flea market in my hometown, the "other" (smaller) Granby to the north! Kev's Barnyard.
I've heard about Kev's Barnyard, but never been before. Is it worth the trip? If I ever do indoor flea markets, it's usually in the winter. Too many outdoor flea markets to get to in the summer. Thanks!
Great video Tom.I like collecting old bottles too.Always like to see how many different ones they are.😊
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the video!
The circus programs are cool. Someone thought I was you this weekend. I had to tell them wrong guy. Lol
Just think, if we were all alike it would be a boring world. Different likes for different bites!
Exactly! Some people seem to think that ONLY what they collect is worth collecting, which is an odd way of thinking, in my opinion.
I like seeing all the different designs of the old soda bottles. It seems like each brand was unique.
I agree. I especially like the painted ones with colorful graphics! Very nostalgic!
Aww wow I would've bought up all those POTA merch for myself if I was there! Big fan of the POTA movie series and TV series. Big fan of the new Ape's movies as well.
That vendor is usually there every time, so the POTA stuff will probably be back in October. I'll take another look then.
Really enjoyed seeing all the fun stuff, that Tiki figure by the Flintsones glasses was cool. That figure with the He-Man (MOTU) figures was a Thundercat action figure. Great video, sign me up for team lowest of the low!
I had that same controller as a kid. I think it was around 2002-2003 that we bought it from like Circuit City
Yeah, that sounds about right!
I really liked this flea market video I would love too go there
I've been going there since the 90's. It's a good time!
Every time you scrolled past a woodworking plane I was going Go back, Go Back, Go BACK!!!
Next time!
I like the mad magazines and circus stuff!
Yes, good stuff!
The little jets are pretty cool!
I thought so too! I don't see old one like that very often.
There's bottle collecting and then there's bottle digging and collecting
Hey, about the typewriter…my husband and I thought about getting our two older grandchildren, ages 7 and 9 each one. We thought they would get a kick out of typing letters on paper! ❤
Yes, it's definitely different than typing on a computer keyboard. My favorite is the IBM Selectric II. The noise it makes is amazing!
As a collector of human fingers I'm not really sure what's wrong with collecting bottles
Yes, fingers fit nicely in the opening too! Makes a good finger display.
I guess you can put me on that list for lowest of the low as I love old bottles . I wonder how much he wanted for that Evil Knievel Halloween costume ?
I should have asked.....
I would like to see the cast iron cookware.
I'll see what I can do.
I think this flea market is worth a trip from RI. That green uranium glass is a flower frog. Used in vases or bowls to hold flowers in an arrangement. Don't get the bottle comment. You collect what brings you joy. My husband collects beer bottles!
Flower frog! Got it. I don't think I've heard that term before. Thanks!
Jvc receiver was a good buy sold listings on eBay $90 to 99 plus shipping.
Darn. I should have checked the ebay listings. I think this one was damaged though, I think....
you should show your own collection sometime!
Someday! Someday.....
Some old bottles are worth quite a bit of money.
I'm sure. I just don't know which ones yet....
I don’t get the bottle comment…there’s just something about bottles. They can be very beautiful. Heck! I enjoy looking at different furniture and vintage clothing and shoes. The thought and creativity put into every day items should be appreciated!🎉
Yeah, I didn't get the comment either. Oh well. I like what I like.
I love old 1800 medicine bottles!
I really like the blue glass ones for some reason.
Omg!! Dude, I live in Granby CT!! Holy cow, this is awesome. I drove by this Flea Market this past week. How cool!! Did you go to Granby high school?
No. I'm from the next town over.
@@fleabittenadventures so cool!!! Neighbors.
If you’re not sure and it’s under 10.00 grab it!
Got it!
Those are some cheap prices, I thought my flea market in Ohio was cheap but this is comparable. Most people at the one I go to have an attack if anything is priced over 3.00 lol
Yes, these smaller flea markets tend to have much better prices than the big ones, like Brimfield.
Those old receivers are only worth about 20 bucks because they're there's no HDMI ports on them and that is the road everybody's going down today. What's coming back is the boomboxes I have four of them
I don't see boomboxes, or at least legit 70's or 80's boomboxes, very often. I would love one of those huge ones.
@@fleabittenadventures I have a techniques of Sanyo and a JVC I'm saving the Sanyo and JVC for my son's who at their age don't think they're worth having anymore but they will someday
I would've grabbed that Pepsi thermometer (3:43) and the Bill & Ted comic (19:18).
Also: that little radio (22:56) was covered by a few UA-camrs (e.g. VWestlife). It's one of those scan-type receivers.
Really? That radio? I honestly had no idea! I thought it was just some cheap novelty radio.
On the large coin.. I think it said quarter paper weight (wt)
OK, thanks! I couldn't figure it out for the life of me.
New here. Enjoy the channel and the hunt for deals. Are you buying to resell or collect? Or both?
I'm a collector (some may say hoarder). Selling is a pain in the you know what. Thanks for watching!
i live relatively close by this place, but cant find anything about a flea market. when does it usually open - weekends only?
If the stereo was 200 amp up it’s worth 100.00 at least the best is Marantz stereos from the 1960’s! And 1970’s because you can crank it up and won’t shut down! Cheep radios shut down before the total amps! Stay away from the ones that shut down! Especially the 1980’s ones!
This one didn't look particularly high end to me.
Who wants to be Bedazzled? I know I do😊
Everyone loves to be Bedazzled.
@fleabittenadventures
I think the coolest part about Bedazzler is that you see the clothing that was Bedazzled by someone. When I see one I will point and say BEDAZZLED !!
It's funny, I've lived in Enfield and now Agawam all my life and this is the first I've heard of this flea market.. Is it only held in May?
Mid-May and Mid-October. Their website is Salmon Brook Historical Society dot com. They usually have the exact dates on there. Thanks for watching!
Mid-May and Mid-October. Thanks for watching!
What is the date in Oct for the next flea market there?
How can bottle collecting be the lowest of the low? Some of them are worth a dam fortune, and you can dig them up, find them for free??.
Excellent question. I have no idea.
Please look for all the fishing stuff.
I'm trying, when I see it.
Where in Granby is this and what days
It's on Rt. 10, but it's only held twice a year. Once in mid-May and once in mid-October.
Typewriters are just a pain to ship…
I'm sure, and probably not worth the hassle. I see that type of typewriter almost every time I go to Goodwill.
Im just a old collector by expérience to keep value of your collection try to take piece less Brakebel,i hade bad expérience whit Glass.Thank you and Good Luck.
Does this go every weekend??
No. Sadly, it's only 2 times per year. Once in Mid-May and once in Mid-October.
If you can get off names on medical bottles under 10.00 grab them! If they are known brands stay away from them!
Good to know. Thanks for the tip!
“the lowest of the low” means the absolute worst…..i.e. collecting bottles is the worse thing you could possibly collect…..fun fact, the lowest of the low is also the name of a band……
Yes, was that you that left the comment? If so, I know what you meant, but I still don't understand why you (or whoever said that) would say that.
@@fleabittenadventures That was not me. I would never tell anyone what to buy or what not to buy……
Shit what do you want for 2.00?
Lowest of the low. Get real that person sucks Tom don't worry about it.
Yeah, I get some unusual and perplexing comments sometimes.
