What a fun time that was, Matt! Thank you so much for having me and featuring Bricktown!
It was a fun weekend and this was the best way to end it! Happy to be working with you and thank you for everything 🙏
Had a great time meeting and talking with Phil at the February meet up this year. He’s just so down to Earth, and although I didn’t serve, we bonded over my Dads service in the Navy as a sub hunter in helicopters during the Korean War. My favorite scent of his is The Bazaar, great scent and slick soap.
I 1st met Phil at the RE meet up in 2023. As I talked with him I could tell he was very passionate about his business. He was very personable and interested in what you had to say. I bought a tub of his shaving soap and as I was leaving he gave me a bottle of the accompanying splash. Both items were fantastic. I am glad that RE is carrying Bricktown products.

I own one of their safety razors. Best razor I ever owned!
It's really nice to see (Phil Decker) someone bowl lather a soap and then apply it to the face. I have watched a ton of videos where the shaver bowl lathers the soap for about ten minutes then applies it to his face and proceeds to face lather for another 5 minutes.....why? Good job Phil! I like your style, beard and all! Matt...keep up the good work! I always enjoy watching your vids!

Thank you for posting this video. Since Phil is a retired military person, and Matt was using a "contract Gillette" dating back to World War II, I started wondering how U. S. Navy admirals of that era -- like Nimitz, Halsey and Spruance -- did their shaving routines. What razors, creams or soaps did they use? What brushes? I guess we shall never know. Perhaps they simply used contract Gillette razors and whatever soap or cream they could find. Of course I also wonder about the shaving routines of millions of young sailors and soldiers who lived and fought during that war. My grandfather was in the U. S. Army and he saw action in the Pacific. He was wounded in action. He must have used a contract Gillette just like the one Matt uses here. I wonder if the razor provides a good shave?

Thanks! It’s a 1920 Rubberset 200-2 that I restored and reknotted. I think I have some pics in my Bricktown IG account.
Does Bricktown make any aftershave balms? If not, are there any plans to release one?
Not at the moment
Fantastic! The backstory definitely makes the products more interesting and enticing but Bricktown is a quality brand that stands on its own. Medicine Crow is AMAZING and had to reach out to Phil after the Meetup to increase my stash. Hope this one becomes a regular in the lineup. I've since added and am enjoying a set of Lafayette. Good stuff, gentlemen!
