Man, I’m off due to an injury ( multiple broken bones in my foot and leg) I love these videos it makes me to wanna get back on the truck and start fixing shit again. Only another 5weeks to go
I just stumble upon your channel over the weekend. Been following this saga. Been in this trade for 4 years. I certainly been there where I think the vehicle is good and ready for pick up, and something goes terribly wrong. Really digging your content. I just got my own service truck and starting to take on side jobs since my boss is getting ready to retire. This is great inspiration
Warren, thank you for not having sponsors for your videos. Most of the other channels I subscribe too do this and it's getting annoying. I always look for your new vids first because of your honesty and the video content. Thanks again!
Don't doubt your work. Give it full throttle and take it down the road. If it blows it blows you know it's not your fault. Keep up the good work, your videos are very informative
Thanks for starting it up and driving it. Just remember, all you did was install the engine, not build it. If it blows again refuse to work on it and let JD deal with it. Enough is enough.
Good work Warren. Haha…I was holding my breath when you drove off in it. I used to work for Caterpillar and the amount of failures with reman parts was high. Soo frustrating,
Well you have everything well documented, I would finish the a/c, drive it around the shop a few more times until somewhat comfortable with it and send it home!! Then take off early and have a few stiff drinks, because you earned it and a little relax time will help you with the rest of your projects! Keep it up man, great work!
One out of three engines worked. Odds are not in JD’s favor. I applaud your strength and perseverance. Just goes to show the current workforce that commitment to a job well done is quite rewarding. And your clients respect you for all the effort and honesty, integrity you present and stand by. Well done.
You did well on this one Warren. Patience of a Saint. Glad that the JD guy who came out was reasonable guy. Would love to be a fly on the wall on the teardown and debrief of the failed re-man. Let this be a lesson to all your customers ..... just let Warren rebuild it. 👍
That loose cap problem reminds me of the time I loosened an egr hose to clean the egr valve and forgot to tighten it back up, i genuinely thought I had a bad turbo with the nasty whistle it was making until I remembered a couple hours later. Man the level of relief I felt after was amazing.
Great opportunity to be on the other side of the engine and start tapping on the frame to mimic engine noise. Lol.. Hope it all works out for you financially. You deserve your pay. Thx
Looks it works good now with that engine. Keep going with the good work Warren and have a nice weekend. Here is a reiny Midsummer but not as usual becouse of the corona hope for better days without it.
Ive been stranded far from home a couple times because of a car. Saved by tow trucks, and good old mom or my wife. Break downs in the company tractor trailers once in a while, im saved by mechanics or they just tow out another tractor and swap out. But to be stuck out in a desert, yes, you live in a desert to me, with a dead farm tractor, then having to get it back yourself is a nightmare. Im sure the day that engine rolled the cam around was hell. I dont blame you for the short test ride. Clint eastwood: " a mans gotta know his limitations"
Know that feeling too well,Heart in your mouth, reputation sat in some random. Building these engines for a bowl of rice, and the promise of the afterlife.well done Warren GBYBrother.Keep em coming.
Fix the A/C, pack yourself a lunch, run the engine at full rpm, sit in the cab and watch other people’s UA-cam videos for five hours. You deserve it Warren. Thank you for all the videos.
I was just thinking "Where is the doggie to go with you on the test drive?"😃 All sounds good. Hopefully the guy who put this together read and followed the book spec.
Well I hope confidence between all parties involved has improved and communication improves. Recommended break in protocols are followed for first 250 hours, so if something does happen it is not because it was neglected/ignored because schedules got behind... keep stepping forward.
Can't blame you for being gun shy with it. I'd circle the shop, park it and throttle it up and down a few times and then let it idle for an hour or two.
I think you should have done that test drive ON the train tracks. That way, if it died again you could just walk away and let the train finish it off. But I suppose that's not fair to the train. Nice job Warren. Where's Daisy?
Well it runs and the JD man didn't do much. Now to return the engines and see if the reman holds up. It sounded good and I hope you don't see it any time soon.
You're lucky you're by the railroad tracks in my neighborhood the only way to get rid of something was to put it in the back of your truck and chain it down that way you could be sure that it would be gone the next day
Warren, I have to admit I myself was a little nervous about you driving it. Seems to be doing OK, for now. LOL JK. Guess now it's up to the owner and if he calls you back. I kinda have a feeling he won't at least I hope he don't. Have a lovely day Warren.
somebody besides you rebuilt that engine? I dunno Warren.. you and I both know that engine will undoubtedly blow up lol, probably as soon as the customer gets home. I am praying for the engine
Good luck Warren hope it makes it this time!! I'm a retired JD tech I know what your going through. I see the AC compressor is mounted to high needs moved down one set of bolt holes so the compressor sets level. Don't know if that will help cooling problems or not?? I seen this when you were swapping components earlier I had my share of jd remain crap
Warren I feel ya brother… hell I’m sitting here sweating like a lady of ill repute in the house of the lord…just watching you drive it. waiting for a rod to fly out through the side of the block.. keep your fingers crossed and send it.. you’ve gone way above what a lot of other guys would have done, and put up with a ton of BS to get this unit back to your customer..I salute you as a fellow Mechanic and as a brother in arms..
Of course it rides roughly, it's a tractor trying to pretend that it's a tank, albeit without the decent suspension. As for the a/c, could it be that the heater/ac coils or cab air filter could be clogged with dust from working in the dusty conditions down there?
I wonder if Deere fired the kid that was supposed to torque the cam bolts to spec at the re-man engine facility, I can hear it now "johnny we need to see you in the office p[lease!" HAHAHA! Seriously, I think we all breathed a sigh of relief after watching this one. I guess call em up warren and tell them to "come get it" and walk away from it, you went above and beyond what other mechanics would have.
Four brand-new John Deere Pieces of equipment it's the person who assembles them......every one of mine had an assembly mistake FROM the dealer .I Do The Work & See
@@FixItStupid Thank the left dems who let these companies send all the work out of country... This was mexico motors... We needed someone who wasn't afraid to stand up for America, and he was cheated out of his position...
It is going to be alright. John Deere is going to drop that old engine on the scrapheap and be done with it. They don't want to know what went wrong with it. Might generate a massive recall.
"Whats that noise??"
"Daisy stop scratchin' you scared the shit outta me!"
😂😂
JD are setting the bar pretty low when surviving a startup equals success.
I'm sure it will be a relief when they pick it up and you don't hear back from them for a while.
Man, I’m off due to an injury ( multiple broken bones in my foot and leg) I love these videos it makes me to wanna get back on the truck and start fixing shit again. Only another 5weeks to go
you will get bored real soon from personal experiance
Take a break when you get one. Time passes quickly. Think about your future, medical leave always a good time to think about yourself, your plan

Hey Warren, through much adversity you got er done! Great job. Hope it stays fixed for you and the farmer!!
Sounds good warren,,,you do good wwork,,,but you cant guarantee others,,,🇺🇸😍
Thanks for starting it up and driving it. Just remember, all you did was install the engine, not build it. If it blows again refuse to work on it and let JD deal with it. Enough is enough.
That’s a lot of tractor to go with out I bet you and the owners will be happy that it finally done love your work and chanal
That will be good to get this out of your hair. I don't blame you for being gun shy on the road test after the last time. Great video Warren....
Good work Warren. Haha…I was holding my breath when you drove off in it. I used to work for Caterpillar and the amount of failures with reman parts was high. Soo frustrating,
You would think JD would dyno remain engines? Anyhow mate looks likes you have a winner this time. 🇦🇺🇺🇲

As they say; "Third time's a charm" (or engines, that is)
Another job well done by Warren the western technician! Fix that AC! 😎
looks like everybody is holding their breath
Yep
Hope you are feeling better after that tumble you took off the service truck. Glad to see you moving around normally. Take good care Warren!
Action, take 3. Thanks for sharing this follow up. Great job Warren.
Warren, Glad the Third time was a success!

They can't say you didn't test drive it. The real test will be on the job. You did a fine job and the cursed thing is completed.
Another great job and thanks for sharing and God bless
I was laughing when you said "don't blow up on the railroad track, then I'll have the railroad on my ass to get the tractor out of the way". Haha!!
That loose cap problem reminds me of the time I loosened an egr hose to clean the egr valve and forgot to tighten it back up, i genuinely thought I had a bad turbo with the nasty whistle it was making until I remembered a couple hours later. Man the level of relief I felt after was amazing.
Keep us updated on that critter. Lol thanks for sharing Warren 👍
Let’s hope third times a charm Warren excellent video always good stuff Miss the puppies 😎👍

That's not funny. Just because some people makes videos of it doesn't mean it's acceptable to do...

I'm so pleased for you Warren. God it's a nightmare. You'll be glad when it's gone.
BANG puff of Smoke And there you go !!!! Warren your a Hero

Are you using a different camera because that sounds a hell of a lot quieter than the previous engine
brilliant job , everyone of us was right behind you on this one ,
the Deere mechanic go through the other with you ? or are they going to hide that motor forever ?
Probably been remanned as we watch this 🤣
At least it was uneventful for ya starting and running it. Glad it worked. Bet you are relieved.

Starting the 8130 today wish me luck it's a JD long block.
Fix the A/C, pack yourself a lunch, run the engine at full rpm, sit in the cab and watch other people’s UA-cam videos for five hours. You deserve it Warren. Thank you for all the videos.
He doesn't have it like that. He needs to work, he can't be sitting around playing doing nothing.
Thanks for sharing buddy hopefully it lasts that’s crazy everything that’s happened god bless
Maybe just maybe you can sleep at night now this pos as shipped out. Great vid . Thanks for sharing. Stay safe 🇬🇧
Were all half scared of this reman. Long may it run.
I was just thinking "Where is the doggie to go with you on the test drive?"😃 All sounds good. Hopefully the guy who put this together read and followed the book spec.
That has been a major project !
Job well done (once again lol) sir. Hopefully you are over this headache! Thanks for the video, all the best

Did I miss a video? Last I knew it blew up. Who fixed it??
Never mind I did miss a video.
Hopefully this is closure now. The first video I saw of yours was when this broke down in the field.
I would be afraid to go too far with it after the last one reman. I hope you don't get called that it quiet running.
Grrrrrr8 video. Gotta love those "joy jobs" 👍
Good luck!
Funny, I’m watching this video expecting something to happen. Thanks for the update
A dyno would be money well spent......we had one at the tractor dealership i worked at and every new or rebuilt tractor went on there
Thanks for the update, job well done!
Well it runs and the JD man didn't do much. Now to return the engines and see if the reman holds up. It sounded good and I hope you don't see it any time soon.
Well i guess this is closer, i would have been afraid to drive that machine any farther than around that building
Hopefully this is the final chapter to this one. I am sure it was a stressful one for you, the owner and even a few people over at JD as well.
Lets see after a week on the Ripper, that will be a good test and run in for it, Warren you have done what you can for it.
Great job 👍
Don't know if I would stand next to that engine. Damn piston rod could "exit the building" or something. Hope this is behind you now...
You're lucky you're by the railroad tracks in my neighborhood the only way to get rid of something was to put it in the back of your truck and chain it down that way you could be sure that it would be gone the next day

He has that blue flatbed with the broken leaf spring out of the shop.
Please let that turd disappear. It’s tortured you enough. Good video as always
I can't believe Deere didn't take care of that bumb engine they sold that man!! Deere needs competition soooo bad!

The camera might distinguish differences in the 2 ) engines. Maybe that was a tell tale of the otherone getting ready to fail.
I was wondering what happened to that pig. Next time the fires go through I’d park that right in the path.
I saw on your test drive that “Old Blue” the flatbed got moved to long term parking. Any update on that baby??

Could let that tractor run in the parking lot at your shop all day at 1/2 throttle as long as you're around... make sure it stays running lol
You check the cab filter for the AC? Fixed it for our 7230.
Of course it rides roughly, it's a tractor trying to pretend that it's a tank, albeit without the decent suspension. As for the a/c, could it be that the heater/ac coils or cab air filter could be clogged with dust from working in the dusty conditions down there?

Run 2 hours hi rpm hope it holds ship it

Well at least it did not break down this time ..😥😥😥 all you have to do is get rid of the other two faulty engines 😦 👍👍👍👍
Are we a little gun shy with this JD replacement🤣? I know I am.
I would be interested in seeing what's wrong with the A/C.
U are a damn good mechanic
Fingers crossed!
It’ll be fine 😄. You can be sure the owners will be hyper sensitive to any noises that they’re not accustomed to.
All those engines , Must be a $2000,000.00 tractor by now ? LOL
