My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married at age 19, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. Im a daycare infant teacher (been in this field since i was 18yrs old) anyways, i work at a daycare school called Goddard school and for Christmas i was off for a whole week. December 22nd was my last day of work and didn’t go back till January 2nd. It was nice plus my son was on winter break for two weeks. So i took advantage of it and slept in till like 1030-11am. Loved it.

As an adult with a birthday the same day thank you this does make a big impact. I can’t tell you how many combo gifts I got growing up. Or a birthday card on my Christmas present.
Mine is the 29th, and I agree. My sons is the 30th so I have always made it separate for him 😊
One thing our kids pediatrician really recommends is down time for kids! Kids that are over scheduled can get stressed and anxious just like us. It was relieving to hear I don’t need them to be busy busy busy all of the time! I hope your break was so chil!

Had my vacation (from work 12/23/23 to 1/10/24). Spent Christmas with family and hung out with friends.

Doing nothing is definitely a must every once in a while. Gives you a chance to reset the mind. You get to reorganize, readjust priorities, balance expectations, recover, and rest. Enjoy the peace of doing nothing, it's a break very well deserved❤❤❤❤

Tip for all the Amazon boxes. Or any boxes lol. I seen on tiktok. Take them all outside. Soak them with a water hose, and then you can squish it all down (making it easier to be put in bags or your trash can)
My family all got the flu after Christmas but my favorite winter activity, which I’m doing this weekend is going to Disney On Ice!! It’s always so fun when we go because we rent a suite at the arena and get lots of food!

I feel like you do a really good job acknowledging birthdays around Christmas. It does get hard and I do feel like people get duped when it is too close to a holiday like that. My nephews birthday is 2 days before Christmas and I agree that kids born in December should have a separate day (their day) for themselves. It should be all about them no matter what.

Chris doesn't always vlog like Jessica does just because you don't see him taking the kids out doesn't mean he sitting playing video games like Jessica has said multiple times they split up the drives to activities between herself Chris and Mimi you don't see Mimi vlogging it either. Plus they don't need to explain to people what they do with their life when not vlogged we only see what maybe 20 minutes if that

We normal travel but this year i just wanted to stay home and relax no running around. So that is what we did. We have two more breaks coming up we will be traveling once maybe 2.

I hear you re the bday, December babies often get a rough ride. I also have lots of kids who do a million things, so on our long break which is summer here we just swim and chill and go out when we feel like it. Extreme slothiness is our summer holiday plans now the kids are older and so busy during the term.
We liked Wish when we saw it on the Disney Dream cruise in December.

I planned to do some stuff with my daughter (I'm disabled and spend too much time just at home) but we got COVID 🙄 so ive had COVID plus disability flares... Unintended withdrawal from a new medication because my prescription didn't go through and then all the side effects of starting it again... All on top of my usual disability flares and stuff... My daughter is 2½yrs old and is so bored... She wants to go swimming so bad and its been 4 months now since I i said we'd go regularly 🙈 I i also feel guilty because we don't have a garden so getting outside time for her is difficult if I'm having bad days... Which seems to be all the time lately 🙈

Hey Jessica, I'm wishing Tommy a happy late birthday. 🎂🥳🎊🎉 And it's almost a month late. He probably didn't want a cake. My 46th birthday is exactly 4 months after his. He's officially a teenager. I still love round bakery cakes. He needs to go to London, England, as part of his lifetime bucket list. To me, the holiday season annually runs from Black Friday to the 1st week of the year. Besides Christmas, that includes Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year's Eve and Day. I play Christmas music and watch Christmas movies during the season and a tad beforehand, that means I can do those 2 things on the final week of the year when there are annual gift exchanges. My family Christmas tree was set up on the 1st week of December 2023 and put away on the 1st week of 2024. I was diagnosed with COVID-19 on December 14. I was quarantined until the 19th, but I had to keep eating snacks and meals in my bedroom time after time until the 23rd. I'm still okay after my relief. I don't go to the movies like I usually did.
